"For my meal, I had lentil soup with bread as a starter, chicken with haggis for the main course, and toffee cheesecake for dessert. The food was delicious. The wedding party was great, with good music from the DJ. The breakfast buffet the next day was also lovely. I want to thank all the staff at the Torrance Hotel for a wonderful stay and for making my sister's wedding special. I will definitely be back for a drink and dinner in the future. The hotel is easily accessible by bus from my home in North Motherwell. Thank you again to everyone at the Torrance Hotel."

"The food at this restaurant is delicious and the portions of Sunday roast are huge, all at reasonable prices. The front parking was a bit cramped, but there are some easily accessible spaces in the additional parking area. There is a large children's play area that kept the kids entertained while waiting for their meal. The service was also excellent. The only downside is that the venue itself feels a bit worn and run down, especially the bar area. Overall, I would give the food a rating of 5 out of 5."

"Large restaurant at the far end of town opposite the church. Food and prices are good. Shame about the state of the tables though apparently used in the week for arts classes. All the tables are like it so no point moving tables. Think about what the tables are actually meant for, like eating on? Shame really as the waitress was nice and the food good. Just get the tables sorted and it would be a great place. Price per person: £20–30"

"The service at this restaurant was extremely slow. We waited a long time to place our order, and then had to wait even longer to receive our dishes. The staff on duty seemed to be overwhelmed and the restaurant was understaffed for the weekend rush. While the starters were decent, the main meals took too long to arrive, testing our patience. One of the main dishes was overcooked and the other was lacking in ingredients. When we raised our concerns, the chef did come to our table to listen to our feedback. However, with only 2 chefs in the kitchen, it was understandable why there were delays and mistakes. Despite the potential of this restaurant, I would suggest looking for other dining options until they address their staffing issues."

"Had a really great time here, the food was great the courgette fries are fantastic, the chips are perfect, hummus with pitta was really tasty, the chicken milanese was nice and crispy, and the desserts.... cheesecake with raspberry coulis and brownie with ice cream, both just the right sweetness to top off the meal. The music was great and the service was great waiter wore a mask and kept distance whenever possible, very polite and attentive; The only thing I would change is the decor/atmosphere it feels more like a local breakfast place, with pub style tables; for the price and quality of the food I think it deserves an upgrade, dressed tables (maybe a candle or some flowers), mood lighting, etc. I left very happy and will be coming back!"

"Initially, the restaurant is currently undergoing renovations. It may have been wise for them to close during this time, but it appears they cannot afford to do so in the current economic climate. Despite the visible work being done during the day, we decided to try their Sunday carvery, priced at a very reasonable £6.99. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meal. The meat was well prepared and plentiful, and the variety of vegetables was impressive. The roast potatoes and parsnips were particularly delicious. Even my vegetarian daughter, who is very picky, was satisfied with the selection of vegetables, although she was disappointed by the lack of vegetarian gravy. The owner offered to go to the store to get some for her, and the kitchen staff apologized as we left. Overall, this pub is still in the process of finding itself, but with our support during this challenging time, it has the potential to become a great addition to Halesowen. We took a chance on their midweek carvery, priced at £3.99, and it was definitely worth it."

"Always a beautiful venue. We were greeted at the door. Had drinks and chatted on the sofas. We had a lovely round table which is perfect for conversation. The food was lovely. The staff put a candle on my mums dessert for her birthday which made it special. Our only complaint was that it was cold!! One of our guests actually stood up and stood by the radiator between courses. I appreciate that the restaurant had been closed for two days and it takes a while for the building to warm up ... but it spoilt what was otherwise a lovely meal !"

"I recently dined at this restaurant for lunch and had a fantastic experience. The price per person was between £10-£20, which I found to be very reasonable. The food was delicious and I would give it a rating of 5. The service was also outstanding, with attentive staff who made sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great as well, with a cozy and welcoming feel. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant for a delicious meal and great dining experience."
"We had an amazing dinner here last weekend. It was a fairly last-minute booking and we arrived a little bit early, but we were shown to our lovely table right away. We had fantastic service the whole evening and the food was absolutely amazing. The portion sizes were great and everything was really well presented. The chef made a peppercorn sauce for us and it's safe to say it was the nicest any of us had every tasted! The bill came to a very reasonable amount considering we had wine, cocktails and two courses each, our only regret was not getting dessert, as we heard another diner talking about how amazing one of the desserts was! We will definitely be returning to Bayards Cove Inn, thank you for a fantastic evening!"

"We were passing by and were intrigued when we saw this restaurant, so we decided to turn around and stop here instead. We tried the cullen skink, which was absolutely fantastic. It was the best we had during our trip to Scotland. The house-made sourdough bread was delicious, and the fish and chips were the best we've had in Scotland. The addition of citrus and dill in the batter for the fish really elevated the dish. We noticed that the fish and chips were less salty here compared to the states, but that was easily remedied on our own. The onion rings were cooked perfectly and are a must-try if you're in the Inverness area, which isn't too far away - just a short car ride."

"We spent two nights at Wilton Court, enjoying bed and breakfast along with evening meals. This establishment is exceptionally well-managed, providing a warm and professional service from check-in to check-out. The public areas and bedrooms are not only comfortable but also beautifully decorated. All the front-of-house staff are helpful and friendly, and our experience suggests that the same goes for the behind-the-scenes team as well. Housekeeping is commendable, and the chef and kitchen staff deliver excellent quality meals. Having stayed for a night several years ago, we were excited for this return visit, and once again, we were not disappointed. There were no unexpected charges on our bill at checkout. We highly recommend this place for a short stay of one or two nights. We appreciate the variety of locally sourced produce used, which is also reflected in the wine list. One last note: it’s refreshing to find a country hotel with reasonably priced drinks at the bar."

"this place was packed, which was a good sign. the staff was very friendly and helpful. our table was unfortunately under a bright light and someone could not be on the head as she wanted the house to be lighter as they were up and down the whole time, which was annoying. the mozzarella sticks starter with minze and pfeffer were huge with a beautiful crab. the tomate and basil bruschetta is probably one of the worst I had. I like the fresh Italian classic, crispy grilled brot, cool sweet tomato and tangy basilikum. nick’s served piercing hot squidgy tomaten on a very soft and dry halfbap with no crispy texture at all and sprayed with balsamika whether they want it or not. "I had a lovely lunch while catching up with a friend. The restaurant was bustling with customers, which was nice to see. The food was tasty overall. Two of us ordered the Cullen Skink, which was very flavorful, but it turned out to be quite thin and runny. Sadly, the squid ink bread was also very dry. However, the other dishes we chose were delicious. I'm definitely planning to return."

"Food and cocktails are pricey but exceptional, absolutely delicious. This is a special place you go for a real treat, our second time and again didn't fail to deliver. The service was slow and we had to hunt/wave down a waiter at times to order a drink. No hesitation in recommending Olivia's and we would definitely return one day ."

"I visited this restaurant with friends for the first time in a couple of years on a Wednesday evening. The staff were friendly and the newly refurbished soft furnishings blended in nicely. We took advantage of the 3 courses for £10 offer, which we found to be incredibly good value. The portions were generous and the quality of the food was impressive. It's hard to believe they can maintain this offer at such a low price! The only issue we had was with the background music, which we found to be intrusive and tinny, not matching the cozy atmosphere of the old inn."

"We visited this restaurant yesterday after having to wait an hour at another pub because the chef never showed up! At this place, they welcomed us right away and told us there would be a 30-minute wait, but we didn’t have to wait at all! The food was fresh and delicious, and it stayed hot throughout our meal. The waitstaff were young, but they were very well-trained and exceptionally polite. We would definitely like to return; a huge round of applause for the entire team that worked together to deliver such perfect dishes. Thank you!"

"I reserved a table on the basis of the convenient location and the blurb written by the restaurant on here, and I would offer up the following warnings. Firstly, the restaurant is attached to a hotel and the menu (at the time of visiting) consisted of very lacklustre steak, chops, chicken, fish and burger options. That’s bland, uninspiring and really not what you’d expect given the competitive nature of the London restaurant scene. Secondly, the wine list was similarly disappointing and the place was practically empty only a couple of families staying in the hotel with no atmosphere, so I made polite excuses and left. The staff all seemed nice enough so I certainly wouldn’t hold the anodyne menu against them, but the restaurant is unlikely to draw in people from outside the hotel with these choices and needs to offer something more than characterless gastropub fare if it wants to be remotely busy. Oh, and the restaurant’s description of itself on here is a triumph of marketing and wishful thinking over reality!"
