"good food, friendly service, good value. Four of us arrived for a quick lunch before the Kelso races. I had a pastrami bloomer (sandwich). others had a big suppe, tipper pate (lots of it) and black pudding, all served immediately. the young had a nice pint of bright ale. make sure to select from all three menus. pizzas and desserts are in the drink menu. very confusing! we were surprised and disappointed to discover that face masks in Scotland are still mandatory."

What a fantastic little place! The food was exceptional—possibly the best meal we had at the borders! The pictures don't do the food justice. I highly recommend it to everyone! View menu

this is a diamond of a small pub in the city center. We had the steak pee and the clone of partridge. then followed the bananen- und erdnussbutterei. all good portions, cooked to house and totally delicious.

I absolutely love this place! It's a small, cozy restaurant with excellent service and a unique selection of food and beer. I've visited several times and make sure to bring along anyone I know to experience the food.

big little sound, dog friendly, real fire, great selection of real ales and laborious cross apfelsine. we had the bark cake with maic and one with chips, so delicious. I wish we had a place for a pudding as I bet they're also delicious. View menu

The brunch menu here is exceptional! I've been twice and ended up ordering both the pancakes and the savory waffles because I just couldn't decide between them. Each dish was absolutely delicious! The service was also great, and I would rate the food a perfect 10/10. I will definitely be coming back!

I had a lovely lunch while catching up with a friend. The restaurant was bustling with customers, which was nice to see. The food was tasty overall. Two of us ordered the Cullen Skink, which was very flavorful, but it turned out to be quite thin and runny. Sadly, the squid ink bread was also very dry. However, the other dishes we chose were delicious. I'm definitely planning to return.
