"I reserved a table on the basis of the convenient location and the blurb written by the restaurant on here, and I would offer up the following warnings. Firstly, the restaurant is attached to a hotel and the menu (at the time of visiting) consisted of very lacklustre steak, chops, chicken, fish and burger options. That’s bland, uninspiring and really not what you’d expect given the competitive nature of the London restaurant scene. Secondly, the wine list was similarly disappointing and the place was practically empty only a couple of families staying in the hotel with no atmosphere, so I made polite excuses and left. The staff all seemed nice enough so I certainly wouldn’t hold the anodyne menu against them, but the restaurant is unlikely to draw in people from outside the hotel with these choices and needs to offer something more than characterless gastropub fare if it wants to be remotely busy. Oh, and the restaurant’s description of itself on here is a triumph of marketing and wishful thinking over reality!"

The best squid I've ever had! Beautiful meal and wine will definitely go back

Comfortable and quiet. A limited but adequate menu of good quality food and wine.

Absolutely dead on a Thursday lunch. The menu is apocalyptic; better heading to Macdonald’s for range. View menu

Came here for a late evening meal with my partener while visiting London, amazing food and lovely staff! A nice place

Lovely staff who tried hard but we were the only people there on a Sunday lunch, fish looked mass produced and overall expensive.

the photos I saw led me to the fact that it is a private restaurant, but it is a hotel restaurant in the bar area. service, weeping and eating were all good, but the atmosphere was missing, while I had no whipped music with no background noise, meant that everyone else could hear talk. View menu

Based on my experience it was poor. There was only one person as waiter bar person so I had to wait to get a table even though it was quiet. The smoked salmon with avocado mousse was average at best. The fish from my fish and chips was poor because the batter was soggy and not crispy at all. The triple cooked chips were also limp.

We had an early dinner for a birthday celebration. The restaurant was empty but to be expected as it was 5.30pm, but even thought there wasn’t an “atmosphere” from other people, it was still perfect lovely. The server was so attentive and thoughtful, outstanding service and delicious food, with absolute great value for money 3 courses for 3 people, a bottle of prosecco and a bottle of wine, all for £120! And they even put a candle in my cousin’s dessert. Highly recommend. Thank you for a lovely evening.
