"This is a review of a restaurant that I had a disappointing experience at. Upon arriving, I ordered a hoagie that had an unexpected ingredient in it. When I questioned the staff member about it, he made inappropriate comments about wanting to explore my body. He then followed a minor into the restroom, and the child was not seen again after he left. This behavior is absolutely disgusting, especially for a restaurant with "king" in its name. Stay away from this establishment."

"The three of us shared 2 starters and 3 mains. The trio of starters was delicious, although one was a surprisingly bright green. The lamb strips were particularly impressive, served with a red-currant jelly and Indian spices. For those who enjoy a rich, slightly sweet curry, the lamb and apricot dish is a must-try. My sister's lamb practically melted off the bone, while my friend loved her creamy and flavorful New Delhi chicken. The naan bread was some of the best I've had, light and crispy, and the side of mushroom curry was also a hit. We will definitely be coming back to this restaurant - as a self-proclaimed foodie, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. At £21 per person including drinks, it was a bargain for such a great dining experience."

"We went for a dinner with friends, we ordered salt pepper corn, chilli paneer, masala Mogo, veg samosa’s which were all edible but nothing that was outstanding, but all edible and we all ate. For mains we ordered butter chicken, shahi paneer, dal makhani and naan and nothing was really outsindong, they added juts lots of chilli powder on the dal makhani but forgot to add any butter or cream! The paneer was again the same nothing shahi about it. They did offer to make it again but we didn’t want to wait around for them to make it all again. Be aware when ordering a jug of coke or drink! It’s £12 for 3 large glasses of coke whereas the the jug is £12 and only offer you 1.5 glasses of coke! So felt a bit ripped off there! But we didn’t say anything to them about it but def not worth getting the jug! Lesson learnt not sure if rush back to eat there again as nothing really stood out"

"Very surprised to read some of the reviews from visitors at TigerBay Shisha and Carlton Lounge as we have always had excellent service and the food is some of the best Indian dishes we have had.We were seated inside the TigerBay Shisha Lounge however as this has open sides all round and even an open roof in warmer days or nights, we felt completely safe and COVID protected. The evening was very busy but had a great atmosphere and we didn’t feel cramped or as if we were too near to other customers. The music especially with the appearance of DJ Shraii gives something a little bit extra special than other venues.All members of staff wore face masks and we noticed they politely reminded any customers to use their masks when not seated at their tables.The food is always hot and you can hear the sizzle plates sizzling as the food is served. Portions are really generous and we usually find it hard choosing from all the delicious dishes on offer.The mocktails are especially good and the fruity versions topped with fresh and sweet fruit. We have not tried the Shisha varieties however talking to people we met last week, they said the choices are good and flavours excellent quality. So even without Shisha being available at the moment under Covid rules, TigerBay Shisha Lounge is a great venue.We are looking forward to spending many more summer evenings especially in the garden area which is beautifully filled with gorgeous plants and makes you feel you are on holiday and not just on an evening out.Keep doing what you do so well TigerBay Shisha and Carlton Lounge."

"Brilliant. Was up in Aberdeen, from a bit down to coast, for a hospital visit. Timed it so we could get a takeaway in the 'toon ' before heading back home with it. Did a Google search for decent curry houses in the area and came up with this place. So, first time there for us. Called from the hospital grounds at just after 4pm and was told the food would be ready in about half an hour. We headed up there, arriving a wee bit early but our order was ready. Got it back home and boy it was fantastic. Lamb Seekh Kebab and vegetarian platter (for the wife) and both were great. I then had the Prawn Bombay Flame and Keema Rice and she had Prawn Dhansak with Pilau Rice. Add a Tarka Dhall on the side and Keema and Cheese Naans, popadoms and dips etc and things were complete. The quality of the food was just fantastic and the prawns were some of the best I 've ever had in a curry. Helpings were abundant as well. I cannot fault this place. Friendly staff too and clean and tidy wee shop. This may have been our first takeaway from here but rest assured it will not be our last. Brilliant!!!! Cheers!!!"

"The food at this restaurant is made fresh to order. The Dal could use a bit more salt, but it was still good when paired with rice. The standout aspect of this place is the excellent service. The host even went above and beyond to create a new mocktail for a colleague who did not like the Virgin Colada. The food may take a bit longer to be served since it is made to order, but it is definitely worth the wait. I highly recommend this restaurant for its exceptional service and fresh, made-to-order food."

"We had biryani with lamb on the bone and my partner had manchurian veggie balls and veggie noodles. The biryani came in a fairly big bowl but the lamb on the bone portion was only just adequate. The lamb was tender and tasted very nice. The rice was just okay Fairly nice flavours but overrall a very dry dish and I didn't like the cloves in the rice. It was expensive for what it was! My partner enjoyed the manchurian veggie balls but said they were very spicy. She did NOT enjoy the veggie noodles as she said they were bland. I tried the noodles too and I could've done a better cooking job at home and I'm not a good cook!!!!! Most of the veggie noodles were left on the plate!! The waiter did NOT help us with our menu choices which is POOR customer service! To sum up, the food was average and expensive for what you got We may be tempted to return if there is a special offer in TWO years time!!!!! "Called in again after our visit in 2018... we actually thought it was closed at first... there were no outside lights... anyway after a warm welcome we were treated to some great food.... it wasn 't that busy but it was only 9pm when we went. "Chellos was the first time we had a takeaway there and my boyfriend collected it and it was nice there kebab was the right size for me i wouldn't have managed the large one and my boyfriend liked the pokora and the portions you give...are great and chips were excellent delightful dinner and a wee change for us as well great delivery service if you choose to get it delivered busy but friendly my boyfriend would say but they were rushed off there feet would defos recommend to my family and friends give chellos a try...
