"many vegetarian and gluten-free options. the menu has some really interesting options as well as the normal favorites, and eating was really delicious and well presented. the service was quick and friendly and the seat was comfortable. it is also so beautiful near the river for a walk afterwards. easy to foot from the most important hotels in the environment. I would recommend it again."

"Been to few Indian restaurants in my time, but this is the worst ever! Poppadom to start that had a funny smell. Daughter had onion rings that were orange. Wife had onion bhaji that was a slab on her plate. I had the prawn poori that was a mess on the plate. All came with a side salad of slice of cucumber, of tomato and a small handful of lettuce. Got worse when the main meals came, handful of chicken pieces that were tough and the rest was a tasteless sauce. None of us finished the meal. Bill was presented before the table had been cleared, down the drain!! to cap it all after we left my wife told me that the Indian waiter behind the bar stared at her during the meal and my daughter told me she had found plastic in her meal! Anybody who is thinking of eating here AVOID !!"

"while you could eat decent, their attitude is not. I don't think they appreciate Indians coming into their restaurant. sat with my man for dinner and was received colder than anywhere in Britain. it would have been okay if they didn't know much about customer service or weren't polite. but what was discouraging was that they visited all the other guests (from different nationalities) in their restaurant with a lot of warmth and regularly checked for their experience, while we feel unintentional during our short stay there for dinner. even after the question, they have not proposed anything to us in proportions or orders. if we needed something and our hand raised, they would just look away. So if they are Indians, they must skip this place completely. there are many possibilities close to, and even if eating there is half good, at least they will treat them with more respect."

"We stumbled upon this restaurant by accident after struggling to find a place to eat in Looe or Polperro. Despite being tired and soaked from the rain, the staff greeted us warmly. Initially, I thought I would only be able to have poppadoms and rice, but then I noticed a 'vegan friendly' symbol on the menu. I asked our waitress about vegan options and she informed me that everything is made to order and can be made vegan. I was impressed! I ended up enjoying a vegetarian korma made with coconut milk, mushroom rice, momo, and a tandoori roti. The waitress even double-checked that the vegetable samosas were not vegan. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant if you find yourself in the area."

"Frequent take out delivery from SG, today I decided we would eat in (sorry Sam the delivery man), beautifully clean restaurant, music in the background suited us, service was top notch, Laura advised us well and we numbed down on every bit of the “tender pieces of chicken. Chilli paneer is the best in the area for sure. North Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken was to die for and chicken jalfrezi was cooked to perfection. Mack Collie wine was absolutely lovely and they now do Thatchers Gold which suited my other half. Thanks guys, here’s a Scottish phrase from us to you …. LANG MAY YER LUM REEK ….. google it, BW, Moira Gary."

"I used to come to this spot with my mum and dad about 18 years ago and I’m so glad it’s kept its overall outstanding service. I have been about 6 times over the past 12 months (once for Christmas Day) and they never disappoint. The management and staff are so friendly and welcoming and the food is always amazing. Keep up the great work guys and I will see you again once I have lost a few pounds."

"This is the first and possibly the last visit to mint leaf. We have read and heard of great reviews about this place and I for one was disappointed. Giving the benefit of doubt first, it was New Year’s Eve so I totally understand the...demand of service to customers however, and it is a big however. I called to book a table a few days before and they made it sound like it was full. They game me options to book in so I took the later one. I left my name so we knew it was a concrete booking. On arrival, no name was asked by the doorman, he just shoved us on the waiting sofa starring at people eating food which felt uncomfortable anyway. We then got taken to our table (and there was plenty of room too) shortly followed by another couple who took the next table. We had a look at the menus when, a regular couple came in and sat tables down, only to get served instantly. Regardless of importance and how much you spend in the vicinity, we should have been first. So, we ordered popadoms to share with pickle tray and they wasn’t even warm. They tasted like rubber and they had been stood for some time. The pickle tray was awful, like it had been slopped together. We had to be asked to get a drink which was awkward. Onto the starters, the tandoori chicken actually was really nice, came on a small plate with small tomato and some discoloured lettuce. It wasn’t served on a skewer either. My partners allo chop was cold. It took minutes for the mains to arrive and we hadn’t even had our starters taken away either so the table was a mess. The waiter was arrogant and slammed the plates onto the table shouting “enjoy your meals happy new year” in the most sarcastic voice too. Overall, a very disappointing evening when we was looking forward to it too. We never got looked after once and asked if we need anymore drinks etc. i must say though, we have eaten at Ayeshas on Dronfield bottom and they actually blow mint leaf away. So, we won’t come back I’m afraid. Ohh, give the toilets a clean they were awful. for me guys."

"My daughter and I visited this establishment for breakfast. In a past life it was a takeaway sandwich establishment, and to a large extent it still is but of a very high standard. We both had the Full English Breakfast Board which consists of a large Lashford sausage, Bromsgrove bacon, Black pudding (not for either of us), Free Range Eggs, Tomatoes, baked beans, mushrooms , toast and butter. I had an Americana and my daughter a tea. The food was excellent. Looking at the menu, the pricefor the breakfast was £8.95 which by today's standard is quite expensive, with the coffee at £2.25, and tyhe tea at £1.60. When we came to pay we were informed that there was a surcharge of 20% as we had eaten in. This was not told to us when ordering. The total bill which as far as we were concerned was £21.75 climbed to a dizzy £26.10. Some price for a lovely breakfast but sat on metal chairs in a tiny unit. I found the breakfast to be one of the best that I have had in years, but the price a bit steep and the lack of clarity re pricing annoying."

"We had a party of 7(2 being children) for my birthday. The service was extremely poor. Staff were not chatty or welcoming. I advised the waiter that I had meerkat movies 2 for 1 offer and was not happy about this. The food itself was lovely but like I said the staff and atmosphere of the restaurant wasn’t its normal self. I think the restaurant has been taken over by someone else. On asking the bill, the 2 for 1 meals had not been taken off. And the staff were reluctant to take it off. Even to the point that they lied that it had been taken off and that was the correct bill amount. On leaving the restaurant after paying the bill we were stopped by a very aggressive and unapproachable staff member possibly the manager advising that we hadn’t paid the correct amount and we were due him more money. He was very arrogant and rude. I explained that I come to the restaurant regularly and also order takeaways from them and have never had such an awful experience. As regular visitors we are also usually offered a complimentary drink at the end this was not the case even though we were there and celebrating my birthday. After leaving the restaurant feeling very annoyed and knowing full wel I had been charged more than I should have I noticed in their Facebook page that kids eat free every Sunday, and includes two courses. I was charged for both children’s meals and they were not offered a dessert or ice cream. After many years visiting Lasan I can confirm that they have lost some very loyal and regular customers. We will not be visiting again and I would not recommend going to others."

"My wife and I are regular diners here and often joined by family members. The food is excellent, the service commendable with welcoming and friendly waiters. Unfortunately, our last visit was disappointing. I ordered a large glass of Merlot which is my favourite tipple. However, on this occasion there was clearly an issue with the wine which had a slight brownish tint and tasted spoiled. I asked for it to be replaced. If this was to be conducted in a professional manner the waiter would have brought an unopened bottle and a clean glass to the table. Instead, the waiter returned with a full glass. I tasted the wine and was convinced it was either the same glass of wine or was replaced by wine from the same bottle. Nevertheless, I decided not to pursue the issue. When the bill arrived it appeared higher than was usual. Once again I decided not to query it but thought I would check the bill at home. This was thwarted by the waiter picking the bill up and slipping it into his pocket as we said our farewells. I was later able to do the calculations and confirm we were overcharged by the equivalent of an additional large glass of wine! And we had left a generous tip! We won’t be hurrying back."

"The Prince is by far the best Indian in Scotland. Myself and my family regularly travel through from Glasgow purely because nothing else compares. The staff make you feel like family and the food is superb. For over 20 years the service has been second to none and the staff think nothing of going the extra mile. I implore you to try here- Visit for the dinner service and you wont be disappointed. You will not find another restaurant like The Prince, the prices are more than fair, in fact they should probably be charging more for the portions they provide. Ive never written a review for anywhere before but cant think of anywhere that deserves to be recognised more."

"We went there for the first time we were traveling for the whole day and was happy to see this restaurant there. We went there saw there were people waiting already for dine in and the waiter there were so rude to speak about the table booking. Then they straight away said to get take away with such rude and disrespectful manners .and we both husband and wife wanted to decide taking each other opinion s and then decide the food but they were making faces to that. Then they said it would take 1 hour for takeaway. TAKEAWAY means food which can be taken quickly just try to make everyone wait for 1 hour for food and then see customers feedback . I would suggest to not go this restaurant if you want a good dining experience better get takeaways from some other shops available ki kyleakin. One of them is the Chinese takeaway. "Discovered Maya after a day at nearby Longleat and wanted to round the day off. Have to say the atmosphere was the best I've encountered in an Indian restaurant the warmth between the owner/manager and diners who must visit regularly was brilliant, without making me as a first time visitor, feel like I was missing out or intruding. Food was superb and ranks in my top 5 curries off all time. Price was a lot lower than I was expecting and cheaper than my normal East Midlands curry house."

"A truly fantastic restaurant if you like Indian cuisine. Extensive menu and also at a very good price. And most importantly, super tasty!! Prices will be increased on May 1 after being the same for years, so anyone who has a problem with that should go eat somewhere else. The service is great! We had to get used to the fact that we had to bring our own alcoholic drinks because they are not served there from the house. We have been here before years ago and we would definitely eat here again. We have not regretted that. Payment can only be made in cash, but there is a card machine right across the street, so that shouldn't be a problem either."
