"we booked a table for 5 of us. we had eaten here many years ago, so decided to come back. we all ordered a meal that was very tasty. but. they expect a long waiting period. there's no filthy. we didn't get our main thing until...9:15 and waited for them for 45 minutes. then we were told that we hurry from the waitress when they close at 10 o'clock. that leads me to my next discussion. I had asked about 9 o'clock where the meal was. we felt as if we felt inconvenient, and then we became more frightened with a attitude. a man was not impressed and gave us no professionalism at all. I would also like to say that the restaurant is nothing but to think that they are at a funeral. the drinks are very limited and so is the menu. which Indian bangladeshi restaurant has no fried rice. I would also say that music would be useful in the background. oh jah and serviettes instead of kitchen towels would be helpful. I would invest in the waiter's staff and show them what is the right service, as they could not have been there. we will not return and if they want a soul willing atmosphere and wait old for her to eat, they were not busy on the way then go on. Listen to you."

"I used to come to this spot with my mum and dad about 18 years ago and I’m so glad it’s kept its overall outstanding service. I have been about 6 times over the past 12 months (once for Christmas Day) and they never disappoint. The management and staff are so friendly and welcoming and the food is always amazing. Keep up the great work guys and I will see you again once I have lost a few pounds."

"The quality and flavours of the food are lovely, sadly there is an issue between the telephone and the kitchen. The last 3 orders had items missing, most recently 2 portions of rice were missing. So I phoned to see what would be done and I got a half hearted sorry. I asked 'AND? ' and was told sorry again. You must be making a fortune charging people for take away items and not packing them. CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE LEAVING THIS RESTAURANT. Thanks for the reply but it is of course absolute rubbish You claim the person was new but it happened three times and I didn 't give you the dates when I picked up the food. So how do you know it was a new person? Was it also a new person in the kitchen every time not packing the entire order? Believe me, I won 't be coming back. You have saved enough money by charging for food that wasn 't cooked/packed. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 1"

"Don't look at the menu online and choose before you go because you'll be disappointed as some of the dishes are not on the restaurant menu. Having said that. The food was lovely, succulent meat dishes, flavourful veg dishes. Service was great. Atmosphere is a 5 thanks to catching up with family after 6 years. So much laughter. Toilets were very clean and decorated lovely. The slimming world poster on the door made us all laugh. Highly recommend."

"This restaurant absolutely exceeded my expectations! I ordered takeout for dinner, and everything was spectacular. The food was a solid 5 out of 5. I highly recommend the scallops, which were cooked perfectly, and the Lamb Rogan Josh served with saffron rice and naan—each bite was a delight. The service was also top-notch, earning another 5-star rating; the staff was friendly and efficient. As for the atmosphere, even in takeout form, you could sense the inviting vibe of the restaurant. A fantastic dining experience overall!"

"When our food arrived, there were some mistakes, which is understandable as errors happen. However, our bill was handwritten and nearly illegible. We needed to split the bill, so we used the menu to tally our orders and rounded up to leave a tip. But once everyone paid, we found ourselves short. When we asked about it, the staff seemed quite frustrated and unwilling to help figure out where the mistake might have occurred, which was disappointing. They did take our drink orders, but those never arrived, so perhaps they were included in the mix-up or we received the wrong food altogether. It turned into a stressful evening that could have been enjoyable. Therefore, I would not recommend dining in, but I highly encourage you to try their takeout—it's one of the best Indian experiences I've ever had!"

"My daughter and I visited this establishment for breakfast. In a past life it was a takeaway sandwich establishment, and to a large extent it still is but of a very high standard. We both had the Full English Breakfast Board which consists of a large Lashford sausage, Bromsgrove bacon, Black pudding (not for either of us), Free Range Eggs, Tomatoes, baked beans, mushrooms , toast and butter. I had an Americana and my daughter a tea. The food was excellent. Looking at the menu, the pricefor the breakfast was £8.95 which by today's standard is quite expensive, with the coffee at £2.25, and tyhe tea at £1.60. When we came to pay we were informed that there was a surcharge of 20% as we had eaten in. This was not told to us when ordering. The total bill which as far as we were concerned was £21.75 climbed to a dizzy £26.10. Some price for a lovely breakfast but sat on metal chairs in a tiny unit. I found the breakfast to be one of the best that I have had in years, but the price a bit steep and the lack of clarity re pricing annoying."

"This was my third Westbourne experience. First visit back to the UK since the pandemic. If anything this restaurant has got better, (if that is possible), probably the best service I have seen. The place was mobbed as it turned out to be ‘Early Bird’ night. For somewhere that is as busy they have absolutely nailed the service and the food. A fantastic menu with some fantastic food, all while being looked after by the best serving staff you could wish for. We hadn’t booked as this was a last minute arrangement but the restaurant accommodated us and made sure we were valued. The whole place is clean as a new pin, which includes the washrooms.I cannot recommend the Westbourne highly enough."

"We had a party of 7(2 being children) for my birthday. The service was extremely poor. Staff were not chatty or welcoming. I advised the waiter that I had meerkat movies 2 for 1 offer and was not happy about this. The food itself was lovely but like I said the staff and atmosphere of the restaurant wasn’t its normal self. I think the restaurant has been taken over by someone else. On asking the bill, the 2 for 1 meals had not been taken off. And the staff were reluctant to take it off. Even to the point that they lied that it had been taken off and that was the correct bill amount. On leaving the restaurant after paying the bill we were stopped by a very aggressive and unapproachable staff member possibly the manager advising that we hadn’t paid the correct amount and we were due him more money. He was very arrogant and rude. I explained that I come to the restaurant regularly and also order takeaways from them and have never had such an awful experience. As regular visitors we are also usually offered a complimentary drink at the end this was not the case even though we were there and celebrating my birthday. After leaving the restaurant feeling very annoyed and knowing full wel I had been charged more than I should have I noticed in their Facebook page that kids eat free every Sunday, and includes two courses. I was charged for both children’s meals and they were not offered a dessert or ice cream. After many years visiting Lasan I can confirm that they have lost some very loyal and regular customers. We will not be visiting again and I would not recommend going to others."

"My wife and I are regular diners here and often joined by family members. The food is excellent, the service commendable with welcoming and friendly waiters. Unfortunately, our last visit was disappointing. I ordered a large glass of Merlot which is my favourite tipple. However, on this occasion there was clearly an issue with the wine which had a slight brownish tint and tasted spoiled. I asked for it to be replaced. If this was to be conducted in a professional manner the waiter would have brought an unopened bottle and a clean glass to the table. Instead, the waiter returned with a full glass. I tasted the wine and was convinced it was either the same glass of wine or was replaced by wine from the same bottle. Nevertheless, I decided not to pursue the issue. When the bill arrived it appeared higher than was usual. Once again I decided not to query it but thought I would check the bill at home. This was thwarted by the waiter picking the bill up and slipping it into his pocket as we said our farewells. I was later able to do the calculations and confirm we were overcharged by the equivalent of an additional large glass of wine! And we had left a generous tip! We won’t be hurrying back."

"Fantastic service, from being greeted the moment we walked in the front door through the rest of our evening. Poppadums' and dips were brought to the table within minutes and drink orders taken quickly to allow us to relax while we chose from the menu. All the starters and main courses were beautiful, with Tandoori Starter for 2 on the sizzle plate being a highlight. Great value for money as well. I've used the Prince for many years and have never had a bad meal. Look forward to returning again soon."

"We went there for the first time we were traveling for the whole day and was happy to see this restaurant there. We went there saw there were people waiting already for dine in and the waiter there were so rude to speak about the table booking. Then they straight away said to get take away with such rude and disrespectful manners .and we both husband and wife wanted to decide taking each other opinion s and then decide the food but they were making faces to that. Then they said it would take 1 hour for takeaway. TAKEAWAY means food which can be taken quickly just try to make everyone wait for 1 hour for food and then see customers feedback . I would suggest to not go this restaurant if you want a good dining experience better get takeaways from some other shops available ki kyleakin. One of them is the Chinese takeaway. "We travelled to go get a Janota Tandoori after reading reviews, I don't no where to start ,shame really, I asked for an Indian it was tasteless.. I would go to point saying hardly any spices at all in if Any. Very Bland. Samosa filled with meat but under cooked. lamb well we couldn't eat it. Chappites was like thin pancakes. The currys, keema was like a stew, tasted like one too, chicken tika masala just tasted like cream but pink. REALLY confused where these reviews come from.. what a waste of hard earned money. I have had bad curry's before but the by FAR the worst. Went in bin."
"On holiday in the region and tried an 'Indian ', The only option is the Bentham Balti. Placed an order, no issue. I collected the order from a very small establishment, and I wasn 't impressed by the general cleanliness. But hey, it 's take away. The food itself was quite disappointing. My Lamb Biryani had tough gristly meat and flavourless rice. The only thing with any taste was the additional veg curry dish. Salt was my best friend that night. The Peshwari Nan was tough, cool and dry. Disappointing!!! and it wasn 't that cheap either."

"Discovered Maya after a day at nearby Longleat and wanted to round the day off. Have to say the atmosphere was the best I've encountered in an Indian restaurant the warmth between the owner/manager and diners who must visit regularly was brilliant, without making me as a first time visitor, feel like I was missing out or intruding. Food was superb and ranks in my top 5 curries off all time. Price was a lot lower than I was expecting and cheaper than my normal East Midlands curry house."

"Visited here today after going to mosque kitchen in Nicholson square for years. This place so much friendlier and comfortable. Make sure you go to entrance at side of mosque we went in other way firstly and thought it was different place with outside seating. Great prices for good size portions the samosas and pakora were excellent we as usual ordered too much but managed. Husband had two different veggie curries I had chickpea masala with rice £5 and £4.50 what’s not to like also range of teas served by pleasant staff. Seems to be popular with students."
