"I was called yesterday to say that they couldn’t deliver my food as there was road works and it would take 1hr and was trying to get a refund straight away as that was the only money I had left till today when I got paid. I was told I could get the food but it would be cold and I said no as I am not going to pay for cold food the lady I spoke to said it would take 3 to 5 working days then it changed to 5 to 7 working days and I was not happy with this as I then couldn’t order anything else as had no money left I also asked if I could get my order from another shop but there wasn’t one close enough I also asked to speak to the manager that I couldn’t and she went to call someone to try fix the problem and couldn’t solve it and she said I could call and speak to a manager tomorrow and I did but still couldn’t speak to manager and the guy was rude to me when I was explaining what happened and said well I should budget better and said is that all and that he has better things to do so I said to him that he’s being quiet rude and he said I was rude yesterday to the lady. Totally unacceptable don’t order from here."

"The pizza I had last night was the final disappointment at this restaurant. I have always been a fan of Papa John's pizza, ever since my first bite at the Holburn street location. However, the franchise on Great Northern Road does not measure up to its sister store. I ordered an XXL pizza, jalapeño bites, a Pepsi, and 5 dips (sour cream). Unfortunately, the pizza was cold, the jalapeño bites were frozen, and the dips I received were the unpleasant garlic ones. To make matters worse, they are now charging 50p per dip, so receiving the wrong ones was a major letdown. I called to address the issue with the dips before realizing my pizza was cold, and asked for the correct ones to be sent. The person on the phone said they would ask the driver but hung up before confirming the address. As expected, the dips never arrived. I have encountered several other problems with this restaurant, so I will not be returning. Papa John's, you have lost a loyal customer. It is important that you address the issues with your franchises that are tarnishing your reputation. A label on the box guaranteeing quality means nothing when the pizzas are consistently cold and taste terrible."

"After leaving Redmond's Bar in Duke St Glasgow, i intended to go for a Pizza, i had my young Puppy with me of 5 months' whom was outside. My Boyfriend then proceeded to bring my Pup in to ask me something due to the length...of wait. I was met with a very Rude and angry server, who immediately advised me dogs were not allowed even though she was lifted, this did not aggravate me although the attitude of the person Serving me. Her attitude stank and she wasnt slow to let me know. So from here i went on to wait 25 mins at least to await my Pizza, the order i made was The Greek', i got home to find out that it was a Pizza i can only describe as a Inferno Hot, i have never seen so many Chilli Peppers on a Pizza, after getting home i could have cried especially as i have a intolerance to Jalapeno Peppers. Management has now been notified."

"Avoid this takeout as they are extremely unprofessional and blatant liars. This has happened twice to us and we have been left extremely disappointed with their service. Our pizza was not delivered even after hours and while we phoned the takeout to inquire about the status they confirmed the delivery was on the way. They lied to us about the delivery on separate phone calls we made to them and their lies were only caught when I insisted to speak to their manager about my refund. The store manager then confirmed that due to some technical issue our order was never placed on their system. When I asked about the their lies, the manager was only able to offer apology for they were extremely busy on the evening. This is not acceptable. If a store is busy they should advise the customers of the wait times, at least the customer can choose to go ahead with the order or not. Also being lied to feels like being cheated. I have requested my refund and manager confirmed it was processed but I still haven't received any money in my account. Papa Johns should really choose better franchise owners."

"Placed an order for the money to be taken, when I phoned the store they had no order, offered no support said it wasn’t their problem and put the phone down on me three times! "Simply do not bother ordering from this PH branch. First incident: delivery was delayed by 30+ minutes. Rude staff on the phone when enquiring. 3 hours after our order arrived, a second copy of the exact same order was delivered to our house, which we rejected. Clearly nobody is running that branch with any common sense or management skill. We received a £10 gift voucher for our complaint which we used today. This brings us to incident 2: food was collected in good time but all dough on the pizzas and the sides was hardly cooked at all. Inedible. Absolute shambles of a food restaurant . Save yourselves the time, money and disappointment order from literally anywhere else. F joke."

"I am a Staff Nurse and I work with Farnham Road Mental Health Hospital, Guildford. I ordered pizza worth £43.22 that was not delivered but I received a text message that it had been when it was not. I consider this to be fraudulent and unacceptable. I work hard for my money; I was hungry and patronized your services but got disappointed. I had been warned by my colleagues not to patronise your company going by their experiences with your company. "Went in here for first time and Rece who was serving was really friendly and welcoming. Nice menu selection. Wanted meat feast pizza but didn't want beef so he done half without and it was no problem to him at all.. Found it reasonably priced. We also had chicken poppers and they were really nice the pizza was really tasty and hot. We said definitely go there again. It's on stroud road just off Bristol Road you can park in big car park opposite or just walk from the Quays. It is also within walking distance from the park so can always grab a pizza and sit out there and relax."

"The staff at this restaurant are always friendly and helpful, even when we arrived at 11:45 on our way back from a gig in Birmingham. Their 2 for 1 deal is very valuable and our food stayed hot during the 15-minute drive home. One warning: if they have any leftover pizza, they do not provide garlic sauce."

"Absolutely terrible service. We ordered last night as a birthday treat for my son, after over an hour wait we called to ask if everything was okay to be told they hadn't received our order. We had the proof of purchase, the money had been taken from our account and we offered to send over, or even come down to the store, to show all this but we're told there was nothing they could do. They said we would have to contact customer service for a refund (taking working days to come in) and if we wanted our food we would need to reorder and pay again. So no solution for the issues, just give us more money We were only given an email address for requesting a refund, which we are told we will have to wait up to days for a response. So not only did my son and other children not get his birthday treat (and also had to have an emergency late dinner) we are also down the money for the order for up to working days while we wait for contact and a refund. We were repeatedly told there was nothing they could do as if we hadn't just paid for the order and they didn't have the ingredients right there to make the food which we had paid for I phoned again to ask if there was a contact number for customer service as I feel the whole experience was completely unacceptable and the very rude staff were quick to tell me that there was no number, there was nothing they could do and I would just have to wait the days This is not the first time we have had issues with delivery and service from Papa Johns, but the staff had always been great before and the pizza was good so we felt like we could justify going back, but it will definitely be the last issue we have with them as I would never order from them again. The customer service was (and continues to be) awful."

"Excellent. Everything about this place is so far above Domino's it is amazing. The pizza had toppings (anchovies, red chillies, spicy beef) that I could taste, for a start. The base was spot on and the sauce...Amarillo chilli...was fantastic. Now then, Cauliflower Wings. Probably the best things I've ever had from a pizza place. Then there's the Special Garlic Sauce. Blimey! I could have it on anything...chips, toast, sarnies, trifle, Smarties...and I'd order it in pint-form in a boozer. Excellent, including the delivery girl who was brilliant and helpful."
