"The service was excellent and the restaurant is lovely (wasn't keen on being allocated a table outside, but they moved us inside on request). Cocktails and bar really good too. Wasn't super impressed with the food. It looked nice but wasn't actually that tasty. Still had a decent night, but wouldn't go back. Can get much nicer meals for same price or less."

"my date and I sat at our table, then a barman came by and offered to take our order, but then never came to our table again. we landed directly into the bar to place our order, which is good, but why ask them if they can take our order, but then they don't really come back to take the order my other thing was drink that there were so many people with housekeeping, it was literally like a drink in battersea dogs to house. not everyone likes dogs, so I think it's a bit unfair to exclude people from their pub because of this, and what about people who really have pet allergies. the regent is a big pub, they could easily provide a room for people without pets, which I should consider them in, we were so abandoned by our experience, we literally had a drink and immediately left the regents. we had an evening dinner in pho, which was much more beautiful and we could have a conversation without failing to pass over belly dogs."

"0 Star Waited a whole hour for a few milkshakes, wish I had read reviews before ordering. Update: the lady called me and started raising her voice at me , because I left a review, last words were “bullsh*t” and hung up , zero professionalism, narcissistic, i would definitely advice avoiding these guys or you will have issues. AVOID LIKE COVID. Very narcissistic owner, requires professional customer service training, did not expect her to use abusive language, I hope children and families dont witness her behaviour, absolutely disgusting."

"I am exploring the North Passport and Byfords didn't disappoint. Very nice shop and place to eat with great menu selection. Not many places do Kippers and I was craving for one for a long time, so I went for it. Very good portion and very well cooked. Just a shame I couldn't swap my toast for sourdough even if I had to pay extra. The building inside is beautiful. Make sure to read the information boards or y will enter the building from thee wrong door. Parking can be a challenge if its busy and you don't know the area. I know at least two near by (something like less than £5 for 3h) but just need to drive carefully There is a few outside tables near the main road. If you subscribe for free on Norfolk Passport there is food drinks discount."

"I last reviewed The Kings Head a few years ago when it had changed hands and had gone down hill badly! I'm now delighted to report the current landlord has got the place back on its feet both as a pub and a restaurant. We had Sunday Lunch on 1st January and the food was nothing short of superb. The best roast beef I've had in many a year and the yorkshire and vegetables were beautifully prepared and imaginative. My wife's vegetarian option was lovely and she ate every last bit! The service was lovely, making us feel at ease, unrushed and well cared for. It was also great value. We will be back soon. It's so good to have our local back again. Thanks to all involved!"

"We only recently started going to the Piper as it's under new management. The new landlords are lovely. They made us feel very welcome and the atmosphere is great. The food was excellent value for money and plenty of it! We will now be going on a regular basis. I know it had a bad name in the past but I would encourage anyone to give it another try. It's amazing how new management can make such a difference in the space of 3 weeks!"

"The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere in the garden, especially in the sunny weather. I thoroughly enjoyed my main course of grilled salmon. However, the dessert was disappointing as the cherry-flavored ice cream was a bright pink color instead of the expected vanilla with cherry pieces. The service could have been improved, as the starter arrived before the wine and was left at the table."

"Went on a Monday night as everything on the menu is only £5.00, food is typically pub chain mass produced so don’t expect a la carte. Drinks are reasonably priced but I do struggle to understand why it’s so difficult to pour a decent pint of Guiness, lack of training I suppose. The staff are friendly but they could do with a decent uniform as jeans and dirty trainers doesn’t look very nice. No body came to ask if our food was ok or if we needed anything else. Perhaps a bit more interaction with the customer might generate a few more tips."

"A group of three of us meet here once a month or so and we always have a wonderful time, a delicious meal whilst being looked after by the fabulous Greene Oak team. The restaurant has a great atmosphere full of diners having a lovely time, there is no better way to spend a Saturday afternoon x"

"My family and I (all 30 of us) had a celebration Sunday lunch today for my Mum’s 80th birthday. We had the most delicious food that was plentiful, served promptly and hot no mean feat when there are 30 hungry mouths to feed. All the staff were friendly, supportive and went over and above to be kind and helpful. A special mention to Alex and Kieran who were patient, supportive and kind when my cousin fell ill. We are all so very grateful for all that they did for us. We would most definitely recommend the G&D Graveley and will be back soon to sample some more of their delicious cuisine. Thank you for everything x Also a shout out goes to Mike (an off duty Police Officer) who is a regular he was outstanding with his offer of support and swift action to help us. Thank you x"

"We did the set menu at the River Garden. A number of the options had a supplement, the sundae was pretty average, as was the gnocchi, though the fish and burrata were delicious. It felt very overpriced at £55+ per head. There was also very loud music and someone on a microphone at the start of the meal that ruined the ambience. I wouldn’t go as far as to say we felt ripped off but it was pretty poor value for money."

"this is a review of the new filiale in kings cross, which is not yet available in the zomato database. decent levantine eat, but not as good as my greedy, but cheaper favorite mangal1 in dalston for charcoal grilled dishes. they pay for chic environment here. in contrast to mangal1 arabica would be a suitable place to bring a date. mezzes not as inventive as some pricier other favorites like morito in clerkenwell or tuyo in hackney. what they do well at arabica is classic middle-east convenience food that I rarely see on menus. I love that she batata harra and mejadra (spels here as mujadarah.) another thing that they do very well is efficiency. the high amount of staff in the open kitchen and in the kitchen arrives very quickly. we started with the moutabel, which was pleasant but not as good as the cheaper patlacan salata at mangal1. the smoked aubergine lacked a pronounced carbon taste. I also had the same complaint for the grilled meat dishes. Although I could see the charcoal grill and open fire in the kitchen, I couldn't really recognize him in my eating. moutabel was served with some exceptional flat broths. extremely thin and delicate the green shhug soon came after. not as beaten and bright as my favorite train at the good egg in stoke newington. both strong comfort foods were excellent. the lenses in the mujardarah were beautifully spiced and the crispy paper thin triangle of fried wobbles was beautiful. also batata harra (fried potatoes) were fabulous. very crisp, so likely fried in quite a lot of oil and pronounced aromas of seasoned and garlic as well as fresh coriander. our grills of chicken wings and cattle villains were somewhat disappointing. beef was tender and very medium-sized, but somewhat underheated and lacked in speculative. accompanying brat tweezers in a sweet date sauce but was very nice. wings had a slight smoke. well made fat, but also under seasoned for my taste. they came with a rather refined tonum or garlic sauce. it doesn't matter to me that my gum is aggressiw garlicky, but if they prefer a mild nuanced toum, they will like that. we were too full of desserts, although the desserts looked great. they had no problems with providing a takeaway box for unfinished food. I would recommend arabica especially for beautifully executed traditional strength comfort food in conjunction with home cooking and street food that do not appear regularly on restaurant menus. the grill area of the menu is more diverse than most of the Central Eastern restaurants that are not limited to lamb and hawn. also they are good when they prefer to be refined and refined medium-east sauces such as toum and zhoug. I didn't try her harissa, but I expect that was the same story. for wood charcoal grilled meat and aubergine is my favorite London address still mangal1. for creative mezzen I prefer morito and tuyo."

"Perplexed by the reviews and how busy this place is given how poor the food quality was. I wouldn’t say the prices were outrageous, but I would absolutely expect a higher standard for what we paid. Salad was clearly out of a bag and way past it’s best; leaves were stale/brown on the ends. The burger was dry and unseasoned, the bun was awful it did not present well at all. Potato salad dry. Overpriced baked potato was totally crucified, blackened to a crisp. Gross! The soup of the day looked ok. Toilet had the remnants of hand soap that was watered down to extend its life. Shame as it looks a nice place from the outside. Might be ok for coffee and cake but I wouldn’t risk it as lunch was so terrible. I would have complained had my elderly parents not been there simply didn’t want to create a scene on our family day out."

"Do they taste the food?! What a shame. Lovely night out because of the company. The serving staff were friendly and pretty attentive, but the food was not good. My friend and I ordered muscles as a main. The muscles themselves were cleaned and cooked well, and they were nice big muscles. But the whole dish completely lacked flavour. There was hardly any sauce, and what was there appeared to be simply made of unsalted butter and water with some boiled onions thrown in. It was very odd! The muscles were nearly £20 and it was an eye watering £5 for a side of chips. Because dinner was so disappointing (for most one friend enjoyed a nice meal), we opted to finish the meal on high other dessert. I had gyspy tart. The tart itself was yummy, but again, the ice cream completely lacked flavour. It was like they hadn't tasted it. It was so strange. For a place with a typical price point of £30 for a maim course, I'd expect a lot better. I won't be returning. At a final bill of £60 per head (with alcohol), it was vastly overpriced and completely disappointing. Service: 5"

"I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mela Restaurant and I 'm thrilled to share my delightful experience. The Egg Pulao was truly yummy, brimming with flavors that were both rich and comforting. The highlight for me, though, was Mela 's signature Butter Chicken—creamy, perfectly spiced, and utterly satisfying. The Paneer Kulcha was another standout; soft, buttery, and stuffed generously, it paired wonderfully with the dishes. For dessert, the Anaarkali Rasmalai was simply heavenly—creamy, light, and just the right amount of sweetness, while the Gulab Jamun was phenomenally soft and soaked in a wonderfully aromatic syrup. If you 're craving authentic Indian flavors with a memorable twist, Mela should definitely be on your list! "

"Nice relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant. All the staff we met were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Excellent service. A nice choice of dishes on the menu. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. We felt the price was very good and comparable to similar restaurants in the area. Would definitely recommend The Fox and Hounds."

"I have had several of my Company Anniversary parties here and I love it! Not ony is this still an owner managed business in York which we love to support, but the service and food quality is fantastic. The staff have that personal touch which means that everyone is made to feel special, perfect for what I always want for my clients. Thnaks oce again to the TEAM, Sally, Arabella (grandaughter , Alice and all the gang that made this such a memorable night once again :"
