"This is a great pub and food is normally very good, however we went there for a Sunday Roast and we were very disappointed, we chose pork with crackling, the crackling was totally inedible as it was as tough as shoe leather and the waiter did also agree that he would have a word with the chef and the potatoes were under cooked with black bits in. It was very disappointing."

"It was a fantastic day for the family overall! I would say it was a perfect mix of animals and outdoor play for the kids, with some indoor activities as well. However, I did notice that some of the cages were quite small for the animals."

"My friend and I decided to have an impromptu meal on Thursday night. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly and attentive. We both decided to try the pie of the day, which was absolutely delicious. The food was served hot and beautifully presented. We were so satisfied with our meal that we didn't have room for dessert. The parking was easy and despite the restaurant being busy, the tables were well spaced out so we didn't feel crowded. Overall, we had a wonderful evening."

"This restaurant is one of the best places for milkshakes. I absolutely love the milkshakes here, especially the Oreo shake and Ambassador shake which I have tried and loved. The food is also amazing here. Although the service can be a bit slow, I believe that the delicious food is worth the wait. The ambiance is very cozy and comfortable. The prices are reasonable and I frequently visit this place to try out their shakes. If you're a fan of milkshakes, this place is a must-visit."

"I visited this restaurant for the first time on a Sunday afternoon, and it was completely empty. But that didn't bother me as I was there to eat, not to people watch. And I must say, it was an excellent choice! We started with delicious onion rings with mayo, and for our main dishes, we had the BBQ double chicken burger and Double beef blue cheeseburger with extra dips. The meals were very tasty and came with a decent amount of french fries. I really enjoyed my experience at this place and will definitely be visiting again soon!"

"I often make visits to this quirky little slice of heaven! This place has a great vibe with lovely staff, small but this does not cramp its style! You can eat in or out and there's great variety in what they produce, loads of different milkshakes and smoothies which I am trying to get through but I am confident enough in this place to recommend anything! They also do food such as paninis, waffles and crepes along side a selection of hot drinks! Prices are not extortionate either, very cheap in consideration for what you get! I'd say this is designed more for younger people due to the decor and menu itself but definitely something different and worth a try for anybody!"

"This was one of several opportunities I had to dine at the Lion at Leavenheath while over from Australia visiting family. I highly recommend it for excellent food, attentive service and friendly and cosy atmosphere. I am vegan and the choice was extensive and delicious. Took several lots of friends and family over the time I was staying and they all had a great meal and loved the beautiful dining room. This is the kind of place you could have a romantic dinner, a fun lunch with friends or a formal celebratory evening. I look forward to my next visit."

"I would definitely recommend this restaurant to a friend. The food was delicious, although we did have to send back the prawns because they were not cleaned properly. The service was a bit slow, as we had to ask to order drinks since no one came to take our order. It felt like we had to constantly ask for things instead of being approached to see if we needed anything. However, the staff were friendly, they just need to be more efficient."

"I often visit this restaurant located near local offices for a fun happy hour drink, and it's always bustling with activity. With live music, reasonably priced drinks, and a laid-back atmosphere perfect for unwinding after a long week, this place is a must-visit. Although I haven't tried their food yet, I've heard great things about it. Additionally, the restaurant is dog-friendly, which adds to the welcoming atmosphere."

"I love my seafood and whilst visiting Amble in Northumberland, Jasper’s Bistro did not disappoint. My family and I were welcomed at around as an opportunist walk-in (in the future I will book in advance) and we’re lucky enough to get seated and fabulously...fed in the lull before dinner. We ordered seafood dishes from the specials board and the a la carte which included lindisfarne oysters, squid with garlic, mussels in a garlic and cream sauce to start and we followed this with lobster with garlic and anchovy tapenade, whole crab salad, beer battered monkfish with twice cooked chunky chips -all beautifully presented, cooked to perfection and tasting fabulous and in my case, washed down by local beer. Nothing was too much trouble for our server with kids trying lobster for the first time (big success btw) extra plates, tools, napkins were all helpfully provided. No hesitation in recommending this little gem of a restaurant from our experience today!"

"I had a very disappointing experience during my visit. First, although we had made a reservation, they had no record of it. Luckily, there was a table available. We received our menus as soon as we sat down, but it took about 25 minutes for someone to come and take our order. The waitress took our beverage and food orders at the same time, but she seemed to rely solely on her memory, which led to some confusion. Unfortunately, part of my order was incorrect, but I didn't feel it was worth mentioning at the time. The staff definitely needs some training. On a positive note, the food was excellent. I might consider visiting again to give them the benefit of the doubt, assuming it was just a one-off bad day. However, if I encountered the same level of service again, I would definitely think twice before returning in the future."

"We came here for Sunday lunch to meet friends. I am gluten intolerant so had checked the menu in advance and seen that there was a gluten free burger available. Unfortunately, when I tried to order, the waitress said that the burgers had gluten in! She was very friendly and went to check with the kitchen what I could eat, but it seemed odd that the menu was wrong (and that the veggie/vegan food was clearly marked but nothing to do with allergens . When our food did arrive, we felt that it was overpriced for what it was. For us, the music was also far too loud we couldn't hear each other speaking (though, granted, we didn't ask for it to be turned down we assumed that most people liked it! . The overall experience therefore wasn't the best, though the staff were friendly and it was easy to get to."

"Met here for a 'catch up ' with friends and booked online specifically requesting a quiet table. It just so happened that England had just played and won their way into the semi final of the World Cup. Consequently the bar area was very busy and loud (understandably) and it is the local village pub. There was a misunderstanding re the request and we shown to a table which was anything but quiet. We asked if we could be moved to a quieter table and the gentleman who greeted us could not have been more helpful. Having found us a lovely quiet and airy table by an open window as it was a very hot evening. The meal itself was freshly cooked and very tasty, served by a very cheerful young lady. I had the Monkfish which was cooked to perfection and a lovely cheeseboard to finish. If I was going to add a constructive criticism I would suggest that someone replaces some of the really badly peeled and worn place mats which would not cost a fortune but makes such a difference. Some were very damaged and ever so slightly let down the really lovely traditional décor which someone has taken a lot of trouble sourcing to create a homely and relaxed atmosphere. It was the first time we have dined there and we will return to try other dishes on the menu. Thank you to The French Horn for an overall pleasurable evening."

"I had a fantastic evening at this restaurant on Saturday. It was my first visit, and my friend and I had a great time! We were entertained by Emmet Scanlan and took full advantage of their 2 for £10 cocktail deal. The bartender who served most of our drinks was enthusiastic and lovely! She even added a scoop of raspberry sorbet to one of my cocktails to give it an extra kick, and it worked perfectly!"

"The service was absolutely lovely—really couldn't fault it! The food was delicious as well. The only downside was that there were only two high chairs available, so we had to wait for a table to leave before we could get one. The wait for the food was a bit longer than expected, but it’s not a problem if you’re not in a rush! I will definitely be coming back."

"We had reserved a table, on the day we ate at The Lock Keepers they were very understaffed which meant a long wait to order our food and to have it served by which time it was tepid in temperature. After another long wait we had to ask for our table to be cleared and if we could order desserts again another wait for them to get to us. The two members of staff that were working were doing their best under the circumstances we felt that the management team should have been addressing the lack of staff. Spoilt our visit somewhat it was just as well it was a nice day and we could enjoy the outside seating."

"Went for afternoon tea. While the location is lovely, the overall experience was disappointing. The sandwiches were bland, the bread dried out and obviously not freshly made. The place was empty so obviously not busy but the service was patchy at best. I requested herbal tea (camomile) and the server struggled with this request and the pronunciation. She also didn't come back once to check on us and see if we needed anything else. We were seated in a bar and had to endure the TV blaring the whole time, which wasn't conducive to a relaxing atmosphere. The only thing I could really commend was the toilets, which were spotless and beautifully designed. Hugely disappointed as this was a birthday treat from my friend. Wouldn't recommend and won't be back."

"Sway is located between Covent Garden and Holborn and is a popular place for after work drinks. It is made up of an upstairs bar and restaurant, a couple of downstairs bars and a nightclub.I have been there a few times for drinks with friends. The upstairs bar (the one on the entry level) is nothing too exciting. But downstairs there are three stunning bars to discover the Velvet Bar, Crystal Bar and Suede Bar.One evening I popped in with some (ex)workmates and we scored some seats in the Velvet Bar and ordered a selection of cocktails from the extremely efficient barman. I was very impressed by the look of this bar with its huge Art Deco chandeliers. A great place for a quite drink or a noisy night out with friends"
