"The Grill on the Market was just around the corner from our hotel in London and we made use of the 50% offer with my Blackhouse group card. It looked very quiet when we first walked in, but this is was just the bar. The restaurant is at the back and up a few steps, I loved the look of the place, it was intimate and had a great buzz to the place. Sadly we had just missed the 241 happy hour on the cocktails. I had the Mussels which were cooked in a curry sauce which tasted amazing and had the Steak Fajitas for the main which was great too! Overall a fantastic meal served by a great waiter. I look forward to returning to this great restaurant again!"

"We went early and they were able to accommodate which was good. But there was only one server for like tables so we didn’t get great service unfortunately due to this which I can appreciate he was working hard. My coke was flat and he said he was unable to give me another. I asked for hot sauce and he said he’d be back and never came back with anything. My pizza made me feel really ill afterwards. And because we were seated right at the bathrooms I saw the chef go into the toilet and he wasn’t wearing a mask which was unsettling"

"The restaurant itself is very cosey and clean. The staff were friendly and attentive. It’s very much a Winter place to eat as you could imagine it being cosey when the nights close in! My only reservation about returning anytime soon would be the food. This is the second time in 6 months we’ve been for dinner and each time it’s been ‘just ok’. It’s very average we think for the price, as it’s not massively cheap. We did however, have a bottle of Rjoca which was really very good. I’m not overly sure though I’d recommend it to a friend as there are so many other places in Harrogate to eat these days."

"They were very busy, we had booked a table but the walk ins had made them too stretched. The food took ages, the service was poor. Not all of the food came out at the same time. I had to ask where our food was twice. They did apologise when I complained and they knocked some money off the bill but I think they need to think about the service and how shocking it was. They said they were caught out with the walk ins but if they are at capacity for booked customers, maybe they should say they are fully booked and give a good service to the diners they have. If you pay for a meal out as a family, it's a treat and this experience certainly didn't feel like a treat. Which is sad as I expect they can do much better if they have the right level of staff to customers."

"Our first visit to Laura Ashley tearooms and it was delightful! The tea-room itself, beautifully decorated and of a high standard, is in a separate part of the very grand and historic Kenwood Hall, so immediately impressed. This was for a birthday treat, there were just three of us, and what a lovely surprise- our table had been specially decorated for the occasion! Nothing was too much trouble for our perfect host Magdalena who was so attentive and hospitable and lovely. The afternoon tea itself was beautifully presented with a choice of delicious finger sandwiches, scones, macarons cakes and pastries freshly made by the chef straight from the kitchen and I would describe it as a fine-dining afternoon tea par-excellence. Washed down with chilled Californian rose, tea and coffee it really was the perfect birthday treat. On balance the only criticism we had was that we could have eaten one more finger sandwich each (there were three each) and one sweet treat less but the quality of the food could not be faulted, it was all beautifully done. Definitely highly recommended."

"If your gluten and dairy free I would avoid this restaurant. Only one starter is gluten free and only side dairy free is chips! Booked online, requested gf/df menu, was seated and not given one, which then took about 5 waiters walking past until someone took me on. Pork crackling isn't crackling it's pork scratchings. Staff were very friendly but service is very slow. Steak was delicious and husband enjoyed his chops but we had to ask 3 times where the sauce and side order was until it was brought over. Also the kitchen is open and all we could here was the chefs shouting, doesn't make to a relaxing atmosphere."

"Such an amazing place to meet friends and eat wonderful food, staff are so friendly and they are always there to help with anything. Pizzas are insanely tasty. The garden area is suitable for winter days covered and beautifully lit up. Would highly recommend."

"We had a wonderful evening from start to finish. We started with a cocktail which arrived quickly and very much enjoyed. We all ate different things, gnocchi squid and pigeon for starters. Generous portions, piping hot, really good. Then came steak, sole and hake. Again perfect portion size, beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. Not much room for dessert, but the pannacotta was a perfect choice to slip down the sides! Delicious and light. Service was attentive and professional, the ambiance was lovely and given that it was the last service of the season the standards did not slip in any way. We look forward to dining here again next year."

"We had a lovey one night stay at The Globe in Wells, it was a last minute idea as they were offering a good value Dinner, Bed and Breakfast offer. The food was ok, not outstanding or different, and very expensive. The menu seemed muddled, with a couple of more expensive home cooked' dishes such as slow cooked beef brisket to fast food' type dishes such as burger Fortunately our Dinner, Bed and Breakfast offer compensated for the overpriced yet underwhelming food. Starters were priced around the mark, which is certainly a lot for some mushrooms on two pieces of very thin standard white bread cut into circles! The cheapest selection on the main menu was for a pulled pork burger and frozen' quick cook fries. Desserts are around the brownie was yum and actually seemed worth the price, with ice cream, chocolate and caramel sauce. But overall the food didn't feel special. The staff, particularly the restaurant manager, were friendly and made our dog feel very welcome. We were disappointed with the bar choices, a lot of the ales were off leaving my husband with two choices, an ale and a lager, and when I asked for a Vodka Martini I was told this was unavailable, even though a bottle of Martini and a bottle of Vodka were sitting in front of me on the bar shelf...perhaps the uncharismatic barman didn't know how to make one? We did have a lovely stay at The Globe, it felt special as we treated ourselves last minute, and we got such a good offer with the room rates, but it was a shame that the food and drink part let it down."

"Our experience at this restaurant was the worst in a long time. Despite being in tier 3, the restaurant was crowded with no social distancing measures in place. We were served poor quality food from a disappointing menu and paid more than we should have. Cuvee is turning into a disreputable establishment, which is a shame considering it started off well. We weren't the only ones who left early, and even our waitress seemed close to tears. It's unacceptable to put your staff at risk like this."

"eat by iftar. I booked for 20:30 and was told that my booking was for 20:45 (shown e-mail proves, but they said someone had to put them wrong. So was late with my wife who had starved. hadn't got the rib eye sexter, so I ordered a fillet steak. I have a rare woman who became medium-sized. was decent, but I prefer rip eyes. crispy garnelen were very nice. the ribs were the star of the show. it was all a little expensive, but I guess the total cost of living anyway increased. probably it will come back."

"After a nice greeting we were asked if we wished a drink at the fire and it looked so inviting that we agreed to be happy. glasses of bubbles were brought and we penetrated the menu in great comfort. with our choices we were shown on our table in the window. it was like private eating and we loved it. pate and huh were ordered and it was agreed that they were good choices. I love the brûlée fucked on the pate. we decided to share a dessert before the fire. unbelievable and so cozy we didn't want to go. thanks for a nice evening. we will definitely visit again when we are in dartmouth."

"What can I say….We held our wedding dinner and impromptu party ! on the mezzanine floor and had the time of our lives with our nearest and dearest. It’s been a pretty special place for us as we dined at the House by Hilly Gant to check the area out before moving from London and so as we were having a small wedding of 22 people we felt this was the best place to have our wedding. Suzanne and the team could not have done anything more to make our afternoon and evening so perfect. The food was outstanding and our guests were very impressed Harry and his cocktail making skills are second to none. Huge shout out to all the kitchen staff who’s attention to detail and timings were spot on. Leading up to the day itself Suzanne took charge and offered her expert advice on how to dress the room and made so much effort with our requirements. 3 children and 1 baby as part of the guest list! . The beef in particular was spectacular and the chocolate fondant was sublime. We honestly didn’t want to leave. After dinner Suzanne was able to crank the music up and we had a little party ensuring all the guests downstairs were still well looked after our friends were actually dining downstairs and were able to join us towards the latter part of the evening! From the bottom of our hearts thank you so much to everyone for making it so special for us. I’m not surprised that you were recently awarded your second rosette, totally deserved. For anyone looking for quality food, locally sourced, and beautifully executed this is the place to come. SEE YOU SOON and thank you again x"

"we were randomly at the sofitel london heathrow hotel and were very satisfied with the hotel accommodation and employees. due to a French flying lottery hit, we miss our connecting flight from Heathrow to dfw on British airways. ba has set us on the sofitel and it was a pleasant stay despite missing flight. hotel staff were very courteous, room was excellent, along with eating. to the breakfast we met one of the most cheerful chefs we ever have. he illuminated the place with his friendly radiance and his happiness. recommend the sofitel london heathrow hotel."

"This visit was a bit disappointing. When we arrived we followed signs to reception and then stood waiting for a long time while the receptionist dealt with customers on the telephone. She could have paused for a second to help us but she didn't engage at all. We then found our way to the bar where a cheeky but efficient front of house chap seated us at a cosy table. The problem with a cosy table, out of line of sight, is that you get forgotten, which we did. We went up to the bar to order. The main courses came and were delicious. We ordered pudding but it was forgotten so we again got up to find someone and ask about it after which it arrived quickly so that was good. All in all it was a bit of a mixed visit nothing like as slick as the other Chestnut Inn venues we have visited but the food was good. Much smaller menu than some of the bigger places too but that was OK still a good selection and an impressive emphasis on local. Overall service needs better management and direction it all felt a bit casual and off hand. Having one front of house staff member dedicated to our table would have helped a lot."

"it was for lunch at the city walls to warm up. the room was cold and would have really benefited from the fire that was illuminated to give him a coserative feeling. we ordered a fish-finger sandwich, whitebait and a part of chips, if we were told that the fish-finger sandwich came with chips, we could have saved ourselves a chip overload and food waste. this sandwich was actually quite a big subroll and didn't really need the chips on the side anyway. whitebait was over boiled and hard, the aioli looked as if it had been sat in his pot for a bed and came with two whitebait stuck in it! on both plates there was also frittier fat. some of the employees also did not seem to know what they did. on the plus side my man said that his pint was good! ps. hand dryer was mounted too high in the ladies so that water runs out her sleeves before her hands are dry! I feel that a bit of love for detail is needed to improve the experience of a visitor."

"It’s was my first visit, and I didn’t know what to expect. All I can say this is one to definitely try… The food was so tasty and came out nice and hot.
