I took her to the woman while we visited york. it was great, the staff was excellent, the food was nice and the place itself is an surprise. let me recommend the cake, I loved him, happy to them all.

it was 1 night. we have been on the day several times and have eaten here. always tied up stop and it was not disappointed. fantastic room (3) four poster beds and views of the minister. slanted staircase adds only to the overall character of the building. friendly staff and great breakfast .

called for a cup tee on the way to visit the cathedrale, sat in the beer garden and liked it so much we went back to dinner on this evening, staff were very friendly and eating was amazing compliments to the chef, it was that good I really wanted to lick the plate, definitiw a visit worth visiting, plus if we were back to york we would book accommodation there aswell

My wife and have just spent 3 nights here and couldn't be happier. The inn has so much history and character. We had dinner on the Wednesday night and it was delicious. The staff were all very friendly and attentive especially Stacey) who went out of her way to make my wife and i feel at home. Will absolutely recommend to friends to stay. Thanks to all for such a pleasant stay.

we had a fantastic family meal in the guy fawkes inn at the boxing day. the service was error-free and each knowledgeable and friendly. large selection of beer and weeping. the menu is extensive and for all of us. eating was amazing. each plate was cleaned and everyone praised how good their meal was and how well cooked it was. full compliments to the cook! we will return and thank them

Myself and my partner are here now. We are in the Belfry room now then moving to the Fourposter Suite this afternoon. This Inn is great, no good if you're over 5ft 7, lol, parts of our room have very low ceilings so you have to duck or grouse. Highly recommended for something different. The rooms look onto the York Minster and you can see/hear Mr and Mrs Minster the resident Perigrine Falcons. Love it.

Stayed here last with my husband for our wedding anniversary and it was fabulous! The chef did a fantastic job with our meal! All three courses were delicious. The best meal we have had in a long time. The staff were so friendly and made you feel at home. The service was excellent. Our room was lovely and the Parma Violet gin was fab It's in such a perfect place with the city centre right at your feet. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for helping to make our anniversary stay even more special x

Absolutely the greatest hotel I have ever stayed in. I took my girlfriend for her birthday and the staff went above and beyond to help me make it special. It may seem a little pricey BUT It's actually really great value for all the luxury and VIP treatment that you receive. The rooms are stunning, the bar has character and the food is gorgeous. We had the stunning room 3. The bed was so comfortable, best nights sleep. Cannot give high enough praise for the staff especially the manager and also especially for Jo!! Can't wait to go back!! 10/10!!

it was for lunch at the city walls to warm up. the room was cold and would have really benefited from the fire that was illuminated to give him a coserative feeling. we ordered a fish-finger sandwich, whitebait and a part of chips, if we were told that the fish-finger sandwich came with chips, we could have saved ourselves a chip overload and food waste. this sandwich was actually quite a big subroll and didn't really need the chips on the side anyway. whitebait was over boiled and hard, the aioli looked as if it had been sat in his pot for a bed and came with two whitebait stuck in it! on both plates there was also frittier fat. some of the employees also did not seem to know what they did....
