"We had a bit of a rocky start when our booking was moved, but we understood that mistakes can happen. We arrived on time, only to wait for our table. After another customer complained about poor communication from the restaurant regarding their booking, we finally got seated. Although we waited a little longer for our starters, we attributed it to the restaurant being busy. Throughout our visit, we tried to be as understanding as possible. When our starters did arrive, we were still left waiting for our drinks. The bread was stale, and the soup was cold. I managed to eat my soup, but my partner's bread was drier than desert sand. When we politely asked for a replacement, we were met by the pseudo-manager, who argued with my partner rather than addressing the issue with good customer service—definitely a huge disappointment. Thankfully, a more competent waiter addressed the problem and took the plate away. Once we finished our starters, we waited and waited for our mains while still feeling hungry. My partner became increasingly impatient. We noticed the manager taking frequent breaks outside for a vape while customers complained about cold and unappetizing food. After 75 minutes of waiting, we still had not received our mains, and my partner reached his breaking point. He politely requested to speak to a senior manager, only to be told that the manager was too busy in the kitchen to come out—a clear display of unprofessionalism in my opinion. The pseudo-manager, Hailey, seemed to take out her frustrations on my partner, who was simply asking for a refund for our prepaid meal. Normally, we would have walked out and just left £20 for the poor service, but this was a prepaid meal costing nearly £150. My partner endured more grief from Hailey before finally receiving the confirmation of his refund, and we left the restaurant feeling quite dissatisfied. In conclusion, if you can’t handle the demands of the hospitality industry, perhaps it’s best not to work in it. This review comes from someone who’s been an ex-waitress in a busy restaurant chain. On a positive note, they do offer vegan options, and most vegetarian meals can be adjusted to be vegan as well."
