"Polite and welcoming staff. Four people at the table for 12 noon lunch. Two choices were immediately unavailable fish and chips and lasagne. Or birthday girl had been looking forward to her fish and chips treat. No obvious gluten free options for one of our table. Helpful waiting staff helped with this. Creamy seafood linguini lacked creamy texture. Mentioned to staff. Little or no meringue in the mini Eaton mess. Other mini pudds were excellent, though were served after coffee had long been drunk. Service was exceptionally slow and was clearly not the fault of the waitress who was helpful throughout, though she appeared embarrassed at everyone’s long wait around our area of the restaurant. A busy pub but by no means full. I hope that my comments are useful to aid your staff training. The Cowherds setting was a very pleasant way to catch up with friends and mark a significant birthday. The steaks were very disappointing, filled with gristle and difficult to eat.

A lot of oil on the plates from either the roast potatoes, or roast vegetables. Parsnips hard and other veg not soft. Very disappointing! (Had to take serviette to soak up the oil)

The food was fresh, tasty and nicely presented. The staff was very welcoming. They even allowed us to improvise a small birthday party. Very cosy atmosphere. All in all, a very pleasant experience. I would go there again. View menu

The restaurant had a warm and friendly atmosphere, and the staff were very professional and attentive. The meal was excellent, and I highly recommend going for lunch or dinner. There was a wide variety of options on the menu as well. Thank you, I will definitely be booking again soon.

I booked a dog friendly table for a party of 3 in advance. Then I called to let them know we would be 30 minutes late due to traffic and was told that this was ok. When we arrived there was no dog friendly table available. Luckily we had decided not to bring the dogs at the last minute but it could have been at total wipe out. Our waiter was polite and helpful. He did make a mistake with our order. One of our meals came out of the kitchen cold. The cold part was replaced. The meal was over £60. The whole experience should have been perfect but it most certainly was not.

"Bacaro is situated in Ocean village and it is a little gem of a place. It is tastefully decorated for a chilled and relaxing time that you will have. There is both a restaurant and bar area and you feel at ease in the place !! Anyway upon arrival you are always greeted with a smile by the happy bar staff which is always lovely I have always loved this place but I would only give a top rating if it deserved it and not through loyalty !! Tonight I had arancini, crayfish linguine and garlic bread, washed down with a lovely glass of house red. The arancini are just the best I have ever tasted, they are both filling but light, the taste is a joy for the taste buds and obviously highly recommended. The linguine is a good portion, I love the flavours and the way the dish is both cooked and presented, the crayfish has a subtle flavour and I never leave any of it. The garlic bread is filling and not dry, they don't skimp on the garlic butter I can't fault the food at all and never have done this is mainly due to the sublime cooking skills from the chefs Greg, Alex and all the wonderful kitchen staff. Bacaro is expertly run the effervescent manager Sophie, for the job you do and how you run Bacaro I tip my hat to you Sophie is well backed up by Matt, Eleanor, Conor, Sindija and all the other wonderful staff ... You make the place and we are grateful for the brilliant jobs you do Very highly recommend"
