"This is the most fabulous place. We loved it. We are a group of friends staying for a weekend at Mawgan Porth.. and after a lovely walk along the coast path on Sunday afternoon popped in, hoping we could just get a drink but thought that might not be welcome being a Sunday lunchtime and not wanting to eat. Well.... we needn't have worried. They could not have been more friendly and welcoming. Gave us a massive table all together (with the dog... and gave her biscuits)... and of course... one drink became several.... and we then decided we would have some small plates of food too. The food was fabulous... the service and friendliness exceptional. Highly recommend and thank you Gareth and the team for a great time. Vegetarian options: I had the mushroom soup. "We booked a table for a meal and we were disappointed. First of all the car park has a few spare spaces, but they are for people staying, so there’s no parking nearby, you have to spend half an hour looking around Blakeney for a space, which is hard work, or spend £6 on parking in the nearby car park. Secondly, The choice of food is very limited with not many of the pub Staples you normally expect to get. Only two mains for meat lovers, one for fish lovers and a vegan option. The small plate meals are also scarce and don’t come with rice or chips. You have to have a side of chips if that’s what you want. Our hand cut chips were over cooked in old oil and were soggy and over salted. The burger was undercooked and tiny. Poor value for £18. Only top of the expensive prices, they bill you for the optional service charge by default, so unless you want to create a scene, you end up paying it if you’re remotely shy or low in confidence. Inside it’s clean and spacious, quite a few dogs, and you don’t get a choice of where to sit. It’s just not a special place to visit, and for the prices, it should be. Oh the Adnams on draft is exceptional, but that’s it. Avoid. Service: 4"

"The food menu was new and only offered limited Sunday roast options. We each ordered one, but it was disappointing to learn that there was no children's menu available. One of the parents had to leave to find food for their son at a local chippy, which was unacceptable for a family pub. After waiting about 1 hour and 30 minutes, only 4 out of 10 orders arrived, and most of them were undercooked. Despite our concerns, no staff members approached us until we started asking questions and spoke to the manager. We were informed that they had outsourced their Sunday kitchen for the first time, but by 3pm, the chef had still not arrived and amateurs or alternative help were attempting to prepare the orders. Ultimately, we were told that no further food would be served. We decided to leave and were still asked to pay for our drinks. Overall, it was a completely unacceptable experience and we will not be returning to the Paxton in the future."

"The single handily worst meal and eating experience I’ve ever had in my 42 years on this earth , on New Years Eve nonetheless. The issues are too countless to even write but literally from start not knowing they even had alcohol and not knowing the word vodka to the food , severe goes to the hospital allergy that we mentioned over 7 times and still came out with the allergens, to the incredibly non interested management this week place was an absolute joke. If the steak was world class I’d try to give more credit but it was on the lower third of all steaks I’ve had in my life and I had the best surf and turf option on menu. Absolute horrible experience in ever possible way."

"Food OK, crab cakes stodgy but tacos said to be good; grain salad stodgy and too salty, fish pie over salty, lobster tails good but neither of us wanted them swimming in butter, makes them difficult to eat with butter sloshing about. Fries good and crispy. Service somewhat erratic, it wasn't busy but took ages. Unlikely to go back"

"this restaurant is a long favorite restaurant, but last year has undergone a change of owner and manager. on the august the food (crisis fried snapper and the coconut crumb part of a Caribbean menu) were very good, but the service was indifferent. all the good waiters we used to know seemed to have disappeared. when we came to pay the bill, they refused to record the order issued on our frequent customer card and refused to accept the Toptable Essscheck. not a coherent reason. so I didn't leave a tipp. I think it'll take a long time to come back. there are other good Indian restaurants like khyber in croydon."

"Can get very noisy at peak times and on one occasion the staff appeared to be struggling to keep up. However we have eaten there many times and usually it's a nice experience with good food (currently the best gluten-free pizzas in my opinion and friendly staff. Unusually for a chain Italian restaurant you can even get a Grappa to wash your meal down with! (Though we had to ask a couple of times the first waiter didn't understand what we were asking for.."

"I have been to Randall Aubinâs a few times over the years and it never ever disappoints! Great food and drinks on a well considered menu of the very highest quality . Also the staff are excellent, we had the lovely Sussulicious looking after us this time , she was charming and added to the whole experience our lunch was a good hours Magnifique!!"

"Was reading about best breakfast joints in the city and this popped up. Lovely place, extremely courteous staff and above all delicious food. Called for the O'fresco (carrot,lime, ginger, apple, orange), Turmeric latte, Crab cakes and poached eggs and the cornflake french toast. The crab cakes were a delight. Lovely poached eggs, creamy Sriracha hollandaise, crispy crab cakes and some lemon for cut through the creaminess. The addition of cornflakes to the French toast gave a consistent crunch to the toast and the maple syrup was quite nice too. Simple menu but some killer dishes."

"I had a wonderful time sitting in the sun. I ordered the king prawn spaghetti, but my wife added her burrata from her salad to my dish, which was a delightful touch. I also want to give a huge shout-out to Alexandria, our waitress. When the manager unexpectedly walked out, Alexandria continued to handle everything with remarkable professionalism on her own. She truly deserves a raise or at least a bonus—listen up, management!"

"we arrived a bit earlier than our booked time, but we are the only customers. we sat and served immediately. because we had lunch with friends, we were not in a certain hurry, so we didn't make it up, but our food took an hour to come, other guests seemed to order and leave after us before we got our food. I don't think we have ordered everything especially drunk some cakes and a fish chips. the food itself was beautiful, and the price seemed reasonable."

"Super friendly service! Glass walls and spacious room. We chose a table near the main transparent wall, so while I was having lunch I could observe the hustle and bustle of the city. The pizza is absolutely divine, thin, crispy, and with a huge variety."

"We started with scallops and black pudding with garlic cheese bread. It was very well presented. For the net we had fish and chips and steak sandwich. The fish was with a beer batter and the chips were freshly made. The Steak sandwich was once again excellent with fresh chips. I didn't see any signs that the food was prepared or cooked in a bag. It looked and tasted freshly prepared. The waiter wanted to make our food experience good and he succeeded. The cook came and had a word with us and I said he needed to annoy the owners to better market the place. It was only a few weeks open, we cancelled a table in the Clarence to try it out and we were not disappointed. If you read this, you might think I have a connection to the restaurant, but I don't. I never liked the bar so much, but Bury had only two ways to eat (automatic) for the city center. Now it has three. Go. On the bottom we were the only diners on a Friday night at 7 p.m. You need advertising for the food was great. A bottom, they only take food orders until 9:00, which is a bit early for some diners. I hope they can meet a balance between a thriving bar / late evening and a culinary experience."
