Deliciously golden brown crab cakes, packed with succulent crabmeat and seasonings.

"We started with scallops and black pudding with garlic cheese bread. It was very well presented. For the net we had fish and chips and steak sandwich. The fish was with a beer batter and the chips were freshly made. The Steak sandwich was once again excellent with fresh chips. I didn't see any signs that the food was prepared or cooked in a bag. It looked and tasted freshly prepared. The waiter wanted to make our food experience good and he succeeded. The cook came and had a word with us and I said he needed to annoy the owners to better market the place. It was only a few weeks open, we cancelled a table in the Clarence to try it out and we were not disappointed. If you read this, you might think I have a connection to the restaurant, but I don't. I never liked the bar so much, but Bury had only two ways to eat (automatic) for the city center. Now it has three. Go. On the bottom we were the only diners on a Friday night at 7 p.m. You need advertising for the food was great. A bottom, they only take food orders until 9:00, which is a bit early for some diners. I hope they can meet a balance between a thriving bar / late evening and a culinary experience."

"On behalf of Hampton Hill Photographic Society, thank you all so much for the excellent meal you provided us with last night and your wonderful hospitality. I think I can safely say that everyone enjoyed it very much and it worked out brilliantly for us. Service, the food – all were great ….. I have actually organised four similar events in other parts of London over the last three weeks and I have to tell you that yours was the best in terms of your flexibility, willingness to oblige, to take late changes – all with good grace and a “smile”."

"The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. The only downside is the lack of parking, but that is typical for Norwich."

"We really enjoyed our visit to Infiniti. The restaurant is modern and has a relaxed ambience. The starters were gorgeous and the mains were lovely too. They have a couple of good vegan main options but I think most of them were rather more side dishes than main dishes but what we did have was nice. The meat-eaters really enjoyed their mains and the keema nan especially. The gin cocktails are lovely! We also got served by a really lovely young girl who made sure we were all happy. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and would definitely return"

"After waiting 20 minutes to be seated at our table in the restaurant my husband went to the bar to ask if we could be shown to our table. Ten minutes later the restaurant manager seated us and explained that they had some big parties in and one of their chefs had called in sick so service was 'dragging a bit '. We chose our food from the menu and waited for a waitress to come and take our order, which didn 't happen for another half an hour. Just as we were considering leaving, the waitress came and took our order finally, an hour after our booking time. Our first course arrived around 20 mins later (nearly half past nine) and the soup was very nice. When we asked if it came with bread, we were told no as it had croutons in it. I asked if we could have some bread anyway and the waitress reluctantly got us some. However, eating a first course at 9.30pm just seemed too late so by the time our main course came out at 9.50pm we just wanted to quickly eat it and get home as it was late and we had babysitters to get back for. We therefore asked for the bill as soon as the main course was finished and left. I understand some nights are busy and it cannot be helped if the chef is unwell but what I do object to is the attitude of staff, who really didn 't seem too bothered about serving us or making the experience a positive one. If somebody had told us on arrival that there would probably be an hour 's wait to order our food, we would have understood and we would have had the choice to wait or go elsewhere but being told that service was slightly 'dragging ' was nowhere near the truth. It was very delayed indeed. A simple gesture such as a complimentary drink and some snacks to keep customers happy while they were kept waiting would have been all that was needed. Nothing was taken off of our bill as a good will gesture for all the time wasted and there was no apology when we paid. All in all it left a bad taste in our mouths and we will not be returning."

"We were lucky enough to experience the taster menu twice last year, a wonderful experience which has stayed in our memory. This year we visited Wheelers with a couple of friends for lunch, unfortunately due to timings we were unable to book for the taster menu in the evening. The restaurant was very busy, but we had booked well in advance for our table of 4. Service initially was a little rushed, but still friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food, once again, was sensational, everything from crab cakes which apparently have been on the menu for 25 years), cod, served with gazpacho, lobster lasagne, sea trout, perfectly cooked scallops, Oriental prawn and scallop dumplings, beautiful fresh Whitstable native oysters and the list goes on... As if this wasn't enough, a myriad of delights on the deli counter on the way out. We could never tire of this place, or the innovative new dishes or even the old faithfuls). Just wish we were closer to Whitstable! One not to miss."

"After Ramadan, one of the first things I did straight after is to go brunching! Not that my stomach could take that much but I’ve definitely missed going out for a nice breakfast brunch. So after Eid, I decided to hit up this place which has long been on my brunch list – Eggbreak. Eggbreak is a neighbourhood brunch restaurant in the heart of Nottinghill. It is situated just behind Nottinghill’s main street, at a quaint pastel-coloured building. The restaurant is Ennismore’s (the group behind the Hoxton hotels) first standalone restaurant venture and it runs with a cozy rustic style of interior plus a laidback vibe. Arriving on a Saturday morning at 9-ish, the place was...read more"

"Went last night for a meal with a couple of friends. I’ve been many times before because this is my local and it is consistently good. We were given the heads up when we sat down that the kitchen was busier than normal so there would be a bit of a wait, a while later a waitress told us they were sorry about the wait (we hadn’t really noticed) and that our order would be out next. As an apology they gave us a free drink which was lovely. Our food was all great and they even gave us some sourdough to take home because they had loads left over. Couldn’t fault their customer service and the quality of food."

"The restaurant has a lovely ambience. Although the dress code is strictly smart casual, I am not sure how enforced it is as I saw a man in shorts and slippers dining two tables away. The fine dining Indian food cooked here is prepped well and tastes fine. If you are looking for a good food with a refined dining experience, it will not disappoint. As far as looking for Indian cuisine pushed to its highest levels of sublime taste and tantalising the senses, it never reaches those heights so that is why it is just okay for me. Let's just say it is fine dining at its average."

"Not worth it. Poor service (though they tried) and average food for a high price is disappointing. Our coffees were served late and after our food. One plate came out hot and the server was holding with a towel she handed it to my friend instead of putting it down. We had 3 occasions where food and drink was brought to us that we didn’t order. Food was under seasoned. Hollandaise tasted bland and from a jar. Could have done with a splash more acid. Bread was fine, but when paying £14 I felt a bit cheated. Generally just overpriced and not worth it despite the fact I’m sure they put the effort in."

"You won't be disappointed when you visit Prezzo. Although its location is hidden, its reputation is enormous. Whether you're looking for an intimate dinner for two or hosting a special occasion for 25 (I have done both), you will not be disappointed. Be sure to try the meatballs and go for the Lady and the Tramp pasta dish. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is cozy and elegant. Request a private room if possible, as there are some hidden away. The authentic ambiance and fresh, delicious food at Prezzo make it stand out. It's unclear if Prezzo is part of a chain, but it certainly doesn't feel like it when you're there. Go and relax at Prezzo."

"Not worth a review …. Menu basic we were told under transition but nothing to say this on website …shocking menu and food … this is also the restaurant that’s does breakfast for the hotel …. Food cold … wouldn’t rate this any stars to be honest. Cocktail bar …. you really are having a laugh … no staff and the staff they do have are inexperienced not that’s their fault. We asked for our table to be cleaned for my husband to be passed a cloth … to clean ourselves which he did. We also had starters on arrival due to lack of food on menus … we had bbq chicken and finger food ..we asked for wet wipes to get given wet cloth to wash the bar area with … needless to say myself and my husband went to the toilets to clean hands …."

"Our second visit here in our Motorhome on the way off on a tour of wales. Once again a lovely meal, a overcooked piece of my meal was swiftly remedied and not a usual thing to happen and they were very apologetic. The new spring menu added some nice choices but how i missed the crispy beef the first time as it’s one of the best vegan food I’ve had out the ‘ salmon’ my omni husband said was delicious and i had a lasagne for lunch the next day before leaving on our trip. We we also had a lovely macaroni cheese as a starter with the crispy beef and were quite full before our mains."

"Party of 3 people, we all had our meals separately, about 20 minutes apart. My meal was luke warm but l ate it anyway as l couldn't be bothered to complain. We asked where are the other meals and they said the order on the screen didn't go to the kitchen and they would give it priority My brothers meal came 20 minutes after, l had finished eating mine, another 15 minutes went by and then my wife's meal arrived. It was cold so it went back to the kitchen to be reheate. That took another 15 minutes to get it back. My wife was so annoyed she lost the will to eat it and ate a little. The location is very nice but the service is very poor and will not be going for a meal their again. Not to be recommended .rate only 0/10."

"my wife and I spend about 3 months in northumberland, visit a series of beauty spots, historical sites and equally important to look for great restaurants. our internet research and talks with locals led us to the old boat house in...Amble to lunch. the location of the restaurant (right on the coast) and near a series of interesting huts that houses a lot of objects was immediately attractive. this was given by entering into the restaurant and a very warm welcome by the staff and a table directly on the harbour. all very positiw, but this was just the prelude for some amazing food. we chose the common seafood plate – a huge wooden tablet with a whole lobster, perfectly cooked sea crumbs, lindisfarne oysters, roll mop herings, smoked makrele, hot cold smoked salmon, shetland mussels and delicious broken fish goujons roy pawns with delicious freshly baked freshly baked we would have stopped (should) after this amazing display of delicious food, but we ended the order of desserts – they were also delicious and glad that we did not leave. we can recommend a visit to the old boat house for a culinary extravaganza!"

"We visited Bellamy's Bistro 2 weeks ago. If having a meal after 6pm there is parking on the main Street for free. We managed to get an earlier ferry across to the island and after contacting Bellamy's, staff very kindly brought the time of our table forward. Me and one friend had the carbonara and cheesy garlic bread, which was lovely and tasty and my other friend had Bourgenon which she also really enjoyed. The owners were very friendly and were talking to us about how they came to the Isle of Wight. I would definitely recommend."
