"We only went here by chance as we wanted to find somewhere to eat near Euston. I'm so glad we did. The place looks nothing from outside, and you would have to look to find it. We were hungry and ordered aubergines/seafood, beef/spicy peppers and garlic pak choi all with rice. The first dish arrived within about 5 or 10 minutes straight from the wok and snarling hot. The rest of the food followed soon after. It was all delicious. We come from Manchester, where we have good oriental restaurants. However, I am going to try and arrange another London trip just so that we can go here. Loved it."

"i had walked past this place earlier in the evening and decided to pop in about 8.30 to give it a try. I was greeted at the door and asked if i wanted a table but i opted for a takeaway option. It was a monday evening and not very busy but the staff were attentive and service was nice and quick. I wasnt offered a drink whilst i waited but i didnt realise it was going to be as quick as it was so that was probably a good thing. I went for the grilled chicken Thai Green Curry from the chefs special option. It was a nice meal. A takeaway version may never do a restaurant full justice and i will try and revisit for a sit down meal soon"

"On a Tuesday evening we waited an hour for starter and another hour again for main (not exaggerating). We were advised after asking where our food was that they only had one chef in the kitchen and that the owner had now come in to help. The restaurant was full so not sure if this was bad planning or just unexpectedly busy. It looked like most tables waited a long time for their food. Nice touch at the end, as it was my birthday, that I was given a whole cake unexpectedly and sung Happy Birthday and also given a gift voucher to use in future. Unfortunately didn't quite make up for the two hour wait for food but it did stop us asking for a discount for the wait. One of the waiting staff we were mainly served by was apologetic when bringing starter late, however the one who actually bought our mains out didn't apologise at all for the wait. Not their fault the kitchen was slow, mind you. My friend also said her Vegan Cari was very bland. Was planning a last meal there with my partner before it changes to a new theme as it's where we had our first date but not sure I want to go back even with the voucher, as seems it's gone downhill since Shelina sold it. Interested to see what they're changing it into though."

"We booked this lovely restaurant for a pre-theatre meal, so arrived early in the evening to find that it was already very busy. We were seated promptly and then faced the challenge of trying to pick just one starter and one main from an extensive and delicious-sounding menu. Everything that we ordered was tasty and full of subtle flavours. The food was beautifully presented and hot too. Portions were generous and very reasonably priced. Service was friendly, unobtrusive and efficient. The owners clearly take great pride in their restaurant and treat customers like valued guests. We had a great time and were made to feel very welcome. This will definitely become a regular haunt for us when we're in Reading for a show. Five stars all round!"

"My husband and I went to this restaurant for the first time as newlyweds. We chose it because some of the menu items are halal, so we were grateful for that. The food was delicious. We returned specifically for the duck, even though my husband was hoping for Peking duck, which was not on the menu as he expected (since he is Chinese). The curry, shrimp, and service were all excellent. I went back to the restaurant again as a special milestone in my life, as I was leaving the UK for good, and once again we chose Maximini. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was peaceful, and the service was quick. They are accommodating in terms of how you want your food served, whether all at once or in intervals. Definitely worth a visit, and for me, it also holds sentimental value. The restaurant is tucked away and conveniently located opposite Diana Princess Memorial Park."

"Makan cafe was a recommendation and wasn’t a disappointment, on portobello road on the outskirts of the street market, this place is a must try….. we were there for the Malaysian food but they also do chimes food, Indian snacks and treats… samosas, kebabs, cakes, desserts…. There’s plenty of choices…. The Roti Canai is very good, flaky and crisp Roti, flavoursome curry…. Top 3 in London….mee hoon goreng seafood…. Vermicelli noodles with seafood and egg…. Mouthwatering good, right amount of spice, very authentic in taste, fresh seafood… washed down with iced teh tarik, correct amount of sweetness and flavour….. take away banana cake which thoroughly enjoyed on train home…. Amazing recommendation and you’ll struggle to find a better cafe that caters for many cuisines…."

"They have recently changed their menu meaning items on the menu are not marked as gluten free. I visited in August 2023. I spoke to staff and one said they could do certain dishes gluten-free and no cross-contamination, another said it would be gluten-free but have some gluten in it (figure that one out! . I decided to trust the first member of staff. The food was okay but not as good as it was years back. Given the lack of staff knowledge and average food I won't be returning."

"The food at this restaurant is delightful with plenty of options to choose from. The service is top-notch, making it a great spot for a lunch outing. The price per person ranges from £80 to £90, but it is well worth it for the quality of food and service. I highly recommend trying the Pad Thai, Belly Pork Prawn Stir Fry, and Tom Yum for a delicious meal. The atmosphere is also lovely, earning a 5-star rating in my book."

"What is really disappointing is when you book a restaurant, they email you the day of your booking to confirm only to find that the entire restaurant has closed....!!!! Then, to top things off, Open Table email you to see how your visit was come on guys, get the technology aligned and remember to stop automated emails! A very very poor customer experience."

"Not much options on the food menu for selection but the appetisers are good. The soysauce cucumber can get a bit too salty, but is nice. The spinach with sesame is definitely a hit and the fried tofu is good. I'd go for the unagi as it was well cooked. Environment wise is nice. Very quiet during weekdays and the food is quite authentic. Dont forget to try the mille crepe matcha cake. Its thick and creamy. The only thing I didn't like was the Asian waitress had quite the attitude. Was not knowledgeable in Japanese food to be able to answer my questions and acted cocky when answering wrongly. Was also a bully towards my European friends when she kept pushing them to tell them what kind of green tea they wanted when they didnt know the difference between the three oh and I was hushed by her when I tried to explain what the difference was to them. It wasnt rush hour either since we were the only ones dining there at the time. Rude and unpleasant despite the food being good. The environment is amazing though. The top floor is neat and tidy it feels cosy and the bar is a great place to dine at as it has hooks. Downstairs is a bar, not sure if it has opened up but definitely quite well done."

"I stopped by for a few drinks and now it's confirmed that the Bell Inn is the most expensive pub in the area. The decor is decent but a bit worn in some areas, and the men's restroom is still filthy. This really detracts from our overall impression of the pub. After seeing the state of the toilets, it doesn't make you want to eat there. My partner refuses to even go there because of the disgusting restrooms."

"The service at this restaurant was excellent! We decided to try the brown stew chicken meal along with a side of mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was absolutely delicious and the portion was generous enough to share among three people."

"I absolutely love this restaurant every time I visit Poole. It's a small establishment, so make sure to make a reservation in advance to avoid missing out. The staff is incredibly friendly and the food is consistently excellent, always freshly prepared and packed with flavor. Booking a table ensures a leisurely dining experience without feeling rushed. I highly suggest trying the Chilli, Garlic and Basil Chicken stir fry, although every dish we've tried there has been fantastic. I'm already looking forward to my next visit."

"We visited for the Sunday carvery. It was really good, probably one of the best roasts we've had outside of the house. Food was hot, there was plenty of it and service was good even though it was extremely busy. Only thing that was a negative for us, was we were only allowed our table for an hour and a half. I think if you book a table you shouldn't be pressured to leave after an hour and a half and that wasn't explained when I phoned to book. It was a shame as we would of liked to stay for more drinks/coffee etc."

"First time experience with this restaurant, we ordered a takeaway. Staff very polite, but we were sorry of existing that given our 2 starters and 2 mains cost £60, which is an extravagantly high price for a simple takeaway. The Tom Yum soup appears to have been made using a shop bought paste, there were none of the fresh ingredients you bought get in a Tom Yum soup. Just a bland soup with a few mushrooms added and 4 prawns (for an extra £3!!! . The mixed starter was tiny, every element had more than a sniff of cost cutting about it, they were like child portions. The ribs were good, everything else was distinctly average, which is highly disappointing given the price. Thai green curry was good but watered down to make it go futher, and there were a few tiny slithers of beef (again, for the extra £3 . The beef in black bean sauce was also childlike in portion size. Overall some elements of the food were good but the overwhelming feeling is one of cost cutting whilst ripping you off. We should literally have paid half the price for what we received, and the average quality nowhere near stacks up against the high pricing and insultingly small portion sizes."

"Having been to Ja I can honestly rate this place as highly. It's like a Tastees done right. Good staff...Great cooks...fab product. The owners been at it years and you can tell. Think he's passed it on to his boys and they are on point. Goat r&p plantain n Guinness punch for me! One love. Oh yeah...it's Ian Brown's fave chicken joint in 0161 area. He opened the Most on branch!! One love."
