I waited for 3 hours for my food, only for it to arrive freezing cold. I returned it and lost £17. I don't want to risk getting food poisoning. This restaurant serves terrible food.

I was spoken to in a vile manor after my order was cancelled 1 hour after I ordered it, baring in mind it was due for delivery 5 minutes after it was cancelled, to be told they cancelled the meal because they had ran out of steamed veg. I had no phone call to explain this so I called and the guy who answered starting calling me a di**head because i asked why? And it was a poor service. I would definitely concider ordering from else where! Vile people

Ordered medium brown chicken stew for £7. What I received was say two small bits of chicken, mainly bone and cartridge. Really bad example of Caribbean food. I’m a student and this place is conveniently located near the uni to attract students. If they want to attract and keep customers, don’t scam them. I’m not Caribbean but I know my soul food. I have ordered from this restaurant before and enjoyed my meal, so I decided to order from here again. It turned out to be a huge mistake! The picture of the banana bread speaks for itself. Additionally, I waited over 1.5 hours for my food. I am truly disgusted with the terrible service and poor quality of food. I may need to contact Trading Food Standards as they clearly do not understand proper food safety and hygiene practices. I highly recommend avoiding this place.

I waited two and a half hours for my order to arrive and when it did arrive 3/4 of the meal was missing. When I called and asked them to correct my order, I was insulted and they refused to correct the order, I had to insist that I get the order that I had paid for, I will never use this service again ever, I advise others to find an alternative carribean food service, the food isn't worth dealing with the horrendous customer service. This is by far the rudest restaurant I have ever ordered food from.

Friday 15th October visited the area as my son's halls of residence is 100 metres away. Was very disappointed with the jerk chicken ,rice and peas ackee and saltfish Pattie that I ordered. The jerk chicken which I was looking forward to was lacking seasoning and spice was a though the chicken was cooked and shop bought jerk sauce added which was sweet if nothing else . No hint of scotch bonnet heat anywhere and that includes the Pattie which was bland. Now very reluctant to try another dish there such is my disappointment of my first experience there. View menu

We have had several take-aways from here and everyone has been delicious. The patties are the most authentic we have had outside of Jamaica and although I give them 5 minutes in a high oven to crisp up, the short pastry, mutton filling and level of spice is spot on. The Curry Goat is rich and tasty and the steamed vegetables are excellent. The pepper prawns, shell on, were moist, tasty and in a creamy pepper sauce. We will be working our way through the menu over the next few months and as a family we have voted this restaurant our number one rake-away

I was very eager to try the banana peanut porridge at this restaurant, and I really enjoyed it the first two times I went. However, on the third visit, the dish tasted off, like a sour lemon, and I ended up getting sick and had to throw it away. It was also quite expensive at £5 for a large portion, so I would recommend making it at home instead. I could tell that the food wasn't fresh and had just been warmed up in the microwave. As a chef myself, I do this for a living and can recognize poor quality food. The prices for Caribbean food here are high and not worth it in my opinion. I suggest looking for better services in other parts of the city and not wasting your time at this restaurant....

I have tried this place twice so far and the food is exceptional. We have vowed never to go anywhere else for Caribbean food. However first experience was great, and I had left a note for the restaurant to deliver to front door (when you print in my postcode it brings you around the back entrance) as I am disabled and the back way has steps leading down to it I find it very difficult to get down there. So the delivery man delivered to the front door.
