"I walked a mile in the rain to dine here, and I can confidently say that I would trek five miles in a snowstorm just for a meal like this. Every aspect, from the tea to the fresh bread, was spot on. Not a single spice was overpowering; everything was in perfect harmony. This was truly one of the best meals of my life and undoubtedly the finest food I’ve had in England. I entered feeling frustrated after a sleepless night on a train but left feeling like I could take on a bear. A flawless dining experience."

"I am only not marking this place 2 stars as only tried 2 dishes on the menu which is not necessarily representative. The som tam salad was 90% carrot but redeemed by a very tasty dressing so I finished it. But may as well just call it carrot salad ! The pad thai was gloopy and I thought had a good whack of tomato ketchup in it. I lost the will to finish it. Service was nice enough and as it was the third Thai place I had stuck my head into, the decor was at least the nicest. But now I will never know if the other 2 places would have been better choices on the food front!"

"Nice cafe, usually has a nice atmosphere. Sadly only one vegan option on the menu (a sandwich) and is was served with coleslaw which after asking we were told has egg and milk in it. I ordered the sandwich once and it had margarine in it. Not sure they really understand what vegan means! Not great. Vegan cake options are very unappetising. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4"

"I had a good time at Singburi but I won’t go back in a hurry. The food is above average and reasonably authentic, but the red curry lacked flavour and salt the delivery of mae ploy curry paste midway through our meal might be related… The aubergine and holy basil stir fry was very good though and my favourite dish overall. It’s a nice family run restaurant with a casual atmosphere. On to the bad stuff service was terrible, we were a table of 2 and first to be seated but it took over an hour for any of our food to come and we were the last ones served. We were about to leave but the food arrived just before we stood up. By this time they had run out of one of the menu items we ordered which was disappointing. We also ordered 2 portions of coconut rice for £9 which came in a single smallish bowl complete rip off for the amount you get. Overall the prices have noticeably gone up quite a lot in the last year and now I’m not convinced it’s amazing value anymore. Coupled with the terrible service and use of branded curry pastes I don’t see a reason to go back"

"This is the first time I have written a poor review of the Bevere cafe after visiting several times without complaint. They have provided lovely outside seating areas in and around the chalet style outside kitchen. It's hard to understand why, post coronavirus restrictions, the food is still served inside paper bags and drinks in paper beakers, this would be acceptable if their pricing reflected this. It's not cheap. Surely plastic plates would be an alternative. It was fairly breezy today so it was a case of hanging on to the paper bag as you ate together with the napkins. It's not a picnic we went on. The sandwiches we chose were made with ciabatta bread, this was not crisp, but soggy just like poor quality white sliced bread. Coffee was good. Service friendly but takes an age to get simple food."

"We received a very warm welcome upon arrival, we had two partially sighted friends and the staff were kind enough to bring over the menu board to make our lives easier. We had two dogs with us who were each offered some treats and water. A sausage for the dogs was also produced much to the excitement of our furry babies. The food was of a high quality standard, the eggs cooked to perfection, the hash brown crispy and everything hot and tasty. We had a vegetarian amongst us and the staff upgraded her breakfast with an additional hash brown without us even asking. Overall, very happy and would highly recommended."

"The food at this restaurant is amazing and we were warmly greeted upon arrival. We made reservations for a large group in October and Helen did a great job communicating with us about our menu selections. The dishes were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully arranged. We loved the expansive dining space and the scenic views. The hospitality shown by Helen and her team was exceptional. I highly recommend dining here if you are visiting Mull!"

"So there ya go, I came across this wonderful Pret within Manchester’s gleaming, clean and tidy airport soon after a review of rip off Starbucks at Belfast’s scruffy, poorly maintained, Belfast International Airport; image this dump is our offer of an international airport. The differences between these places are stark, Prets food is fresh made daily and very good indeed, their coffee is ace, the staff were friendly and helpful, the place was clean and it was tidied twice in the 40 minutes we were there. Social distancing was properly observed and contact details were requested as we were sitting in. Best of all for customers we weren’t ripped off. Once Pret sets up in Norn Iron Starbucks are likely to lose my loyalty. For £13.98 total I had a crayfish avocado salad with a super flat white. They provide little sachets of blooming marvellous Tabasco sauce ; my wife indulged in a cappuccino with a generously filled French style baguette with unsmoked bacon, egg, onion and salad. The bacon had much more bacon than bacon fat. The baguette was crispy and about 10” long. Pret food is handmade in their shop kitchens throughout the day and anything they don 't sell, goes to charity. Their coffee is 100% organic and they have a Coffee Fund to support the next generation of farmers. Their teas, milks and milk alternatives are also organic. They have produced their first Environment, Social and Governance report that sits on their website. They say that they are committed to publishing future reports to track sustainability progress over the years to come. They have had a zero landfill policy for all their managed UK shops since 2012 and customers have been able to recycle bottles and cans in shops since 2007. So while I can’t find if their organic coffee is shade grown and bird friendly it’s still 3 green stars. The Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center in the USA has developed the only 100% Organic and Shade Grown coffee certification in the world called Bird Friendly Certification with the noble aim that every bean is produced organically and under high quality shade, ensuring tropical agroforests are preserved and migratory birds find a healthy haven when they travel from northern climes to those faraway farms producing the beans. With widespread clear cutting for sun coffee plantations, it 's imperative to protect the tropical forest that remains and rehabilitate degraded ecosystems. It’s also hard to find if they pay staff living wages so maybe they do and they’ll report on this soon."

"We were visiting friends and needed some lunch before heading home. We parked up just after 12 on a Wednesday. There was a queue out of the door, but we were seated quickly on a table for 2 inside. While quieing I noticed that they had chicken schnitzel chips and salad as a special. When the waitress came to take our orders, we did indeed order the schnitzel, but just with salad for me. It was a nice portion, hot and tasty. Hubby ordered a chocolate cake with ice cream. It was a huge portion. He asked if he could take the rest home, which indeed he did. Not the cheapest lunch, but very good atmosphere, nice, friendly waitresses, great parking and some lovely shops to wander about in before or after you eat."

"Great atmosphere, not great food. We got the beef and bird (steak chicken) and the chicken Kiev. Both the chickens were rubbery over cooked and even though the steak looked medium rare, it was as tough and flavorless as a well done stake somehow.? Even the triple fried potatoes had no crisp. The Guinness was great and they had friendly waitresses with a happy atmosphere, shame the food was so dry, maybe it was a backup chef? Will say the dip that came with the beef and bird was great and made the dry meat edible."

"Went here as we had been recommended it as a great place. Unfortunately this was not our experience. It started fine and we ordered a bottle of white wine. Before this arrived we were abruptly asked to move table. I was a bit disgruntled mainly by the way we were asked but we moved and didn't think any more of it. Next our white wine came which was put down on the table without a word from the waiter. When we went to pour it we found the bottle was warm. We then waited for probably about 25 minutes without anyone coming to take an order. By this point we were fed up and left. Entirely disapointed Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"

"We went to 'The Westbourne ' for their Christmas day lunch and it was the best xmas lunches out we have ever had in our lives. The pub was beautifully decorated throughout and also had decorations, crackers etc. on all the tables. The cheerful service given by all their staff was faultless and raised the 'bar of excellence ' to a new level. For starter we had the venison pate and toast and the scallops and peas etc. which were delicious. a glass of prosecco was waiting on arrival which was nice. Also had a large glass of their scrumpcious malbec which can thoroughly recommend. For mains their full Christmas lunch was fantastic, a full plateful of delicious food and to follow their brandy christmas pud and icecream. The management their do a phenominal job there and the staff are simply amazing, they fully deserve a '6 Star ' review! We wan 't to already book for next year!"

"The opening hours are confusing because their kitchen closes at 15:30pm yet they still serve coffee and cake until 16:30pm. They ought to set up two businesses on Google maps to cater for these two operations. Also their chef doesn't seem to know how to make a risotto. They're using pearl barley yet are only cooking it for 20 minutes (it needs at least 40 to 50 minutes), so expect indigestion if you eat it. It also didn't seem to be seasoned so had almost no flavour. And when I pointed this out to them, the manager spoke to me yet didn't offer any money back, he might have apologised but if he did I didn't notice. "I've walked by this charming cafe/restaurant several times, but I never realized it was only open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Fortunately, we stumbled upon it this Sunday during our walk along the canal to Gargrave. It was clearly a popular spot, and we were not disappointed with the quality of the food. From the outside, it may appear small, but that's deceiving—the interior is much larger than we anticipated! We would definitely recommend it."

"I’ve always wanted to try here. Living local surprisingly we haven’t. My parents have though and they enjoyed their 1st visit Unlike this time. We’re a family of 5 my daughter registered disabled we parked in the designated disabled bays. Although wasn’t necessary we displayed a blue badge. Walked inside to be what can only be described as targeted by the lady(manager) who was running the place, telling us we can’t park in the disabled spot we had because it’s for disabled customers. Not politely came over and asked if we should be parked here, the restaurant had a fair few customers in. And all looked over towards us. My daughter felt humiliated. I said for her to just come along over to the table we had reserved. This shouldn’t be happening. We are now in 2023. And discrimination unfortunately is as ever still happening. We were served by a young lad who was kind enough. Although we felt by this point everyone had their opinion of us. The food was served by the lady in question. She had no manners and didn’t seem She was happy to serve us! Once we’d had desserts we paid. And left saying bye but still again nothing! We have eaten much better from the takeaway over the road. They are second to none. And very friendly unlike walkers. So we won’t be visiting walkers anymore. Unfriendly uninviting and rude. Customer care skills greatly need polishing up on!"

"I was planning to hike Arthur's Seat, so I wanted to keep my lunch light. I ordered the vegan haggis along with a toastie. I really enjoyed the different aromas of the vegan haggis. The sandwich was a good size and quite filling. I liked the haggis as well. My partner opted for the "Hungry Rabbit," which included mushrooms, paprika, and feta. I had a bite of it and found it delicious too. I would have loved to try more dishes, but I was still full from breakfast and didn't want to overeat before my hike. The food is only available for takeaway, so we found a spot in a nearby park to enjoy our meal. The location is very convenient, and I would definitely recommend it. The staff were friendly too. They also sell a variety of vegan treats, and I couldn't resist picking up some chocolate. Everything I've tried from the Gnaw brand is fantastic. This is an updated review from my previous one on September 22, 2022."

"We were there spontaneously for lunch and were served very friendly at a beautiful table in the sun. The trout and lobster sandwich was very juicy, fresh and delicious. The bread comes from a local source and was also very good. Some of the fries are with the skin on and are obviously homemade. Also very crispy and tasty. We would like to come back."

"Staff were friendly but the food was shocking. Sausages were cold in the middle on one plate, pink in the middle on my babies lunch. All the sausages just looked wrong and not cooked.Prices were quite steep, well above London prices. The orders were muddled, well done bacon was no where near well done I would say only just cooked. Gave almost raw bacon and runny egg to my pregnant partner who asked for it all to be well done.We refused to eat and left only paying for the drinks. The stars are purely for the staff response and service."

"Staying in Broseley for a few days and we were looking for a nice restaurant to celebrate my husband 's birthday but ... That catered for gluten and dairy allergies. I rang and spoke to Nicky, and I was blown over that they could cater for us and nothing was too much trouble. The food was so delicious and service so amazing that we booked for the following evening. We were so well looked after and felt like the most important guests. My 9yr old was so happy and overwhelmed her words the best restaurant ever . It meant so much to be able to have a lovely meal out, the food was totally mouthwatering amazing. Nicky and her team were all so attentive and so friendly. It made our break in Broseley really wonderful. 5 star food and service"
