"fried eggs, cumberland sausages, smoked streaky bacon, roasted plumomats, mushrooms and toast 8.95 br br added hashbr brown as extra. br for a chain I had not expected much, but I had luck meeting the person who leads the chain, so I thought I would give this a piece was pleasant, and I must say. they get a large selection and all ingredients are well selected and a good portion size. each article was cooked well and full of taste. brntewein although there is a place to breakfast that is always hard to beat, I will not be dissatisfied here again. bills pink limonade is always a favorite of me. br service is good and service with a smile. br br bills has a good concept and a good selection of food through the day, so they do not see it as a chain at all. br I would recommend a visit to breakfast, lunch and dinner. br I remember, I also had a lunch a few months later and came with a big mushroom sauce that really surprised me as the price-performance ratio. I can't wait to go back. I've been starving. br I must thank my friend if I see him. br br decor is also beautiful and quirky, but somewhere they can take a date or have a business meeting. br i will go back."

"Hotel was lovely on first impressions, we arrived without a booking as we was in the area and price was very high but thought we would give it a go anyway, when we check in the room we was very disappointed, very small and dated, Thermostat isn’t operational in your room and only my main reception even though it says it should work. We ate in the restaurant and the food was lovely but there was a very strange smell in just the bar and restaurant area and couldn’t figure it out and is off pudding when eating, however breakfast the next day was amazing and in another room and that was fine. All staff were friendly and welcoming. I have mixed feeling on this place, I think if it wasn’t so expensive I wouldn’t be as disappointed but expected more for £222 a night."

"Please read the negative comments. They were shouting at me and other customers. The ladies working there are from Poland. They switch off the credit card machine. They were asking only for cash from customers. They were asking for euros and dollars. I had only my card. I told them before seating down because I heard them saying the credit card machine wasn't working. They told me to seat down and pay later. When I went to pay they told me the machine is not working and to give them euros or dollars. I told them I don't have anything. The lady working there told me she got euros and dollars in her bag. I asked her to show me, she had more then 1 thousand in euros and dollars. They were shouting at me to find the money. It was no cash machine around. Then they told me to come back the next day to pay which I did even when I saw the lady working had the money back. I believe this is money laundry."

"We actually visited the Toucan twice, once for breakfast and a second time for cream tea. It was great both times. The tables are a bit close and I noticed I wasn't the only one moving the oversized pillows (didn't leave enough room to sit on the chair) but once we were settled both the food and service were good. I really appreciated the vegetarian option for breakfast and the conversation with the owner when we returned for cream tea a few days later. We were visitors to the area and the Toucan was recommended by our hosts who are locals, We will look forward to eating at the Toucan on a future visit."

"Great atmosphere, not great food. We got the beef and bird (steak chicken) and the chicken Kiev. Both the chickens were rubbery over cooked and even though the steak looked medium rare, it was as tough and flavorless as a well done stake somehow.? Even the triple fried potatoes had no crisp. The Guinness was great and they had friendly waitresses with a happy atmosphere, shame the food was so dry, maybe it was a backup chef? Will say the dip that came with the beef and bird was great and made the dry meat edible."

"When we addressed this with the owner, he became angry, aggressive, and rude. He was even about to shut the door in my face when his wife appeared with a knife in hand. I asked her why she was approaching me with a knife, and her response was, “I’m busy and working!” She was very aggressive and seemed unable to handle any constructive feedback. My husband, hearing the commotion, stepped in, but she directed her aggression at him too, asking how old we were, which felt completely irrelevant. She then boasted about being 67 and still working hard. I asked for a refund since the service did not match the price we paid, but she flatly refused, stating they don’t do refunds. I noticed other customers enjoying their cafetière coffee served in proper china. When we mentioned this to the owners, they justified it by saying those customers were friends of theirs. So what about us? We were paying guests too! This was a deeply upsetting experience for both of us, and we plan to report this to the local police, the tourist board, and trading standards. The charming tea room will not be so pleasant once we’re done with them. We've never been treated so poorly as customers, and being threatened with a knife by a senior was particularly shocking. I strongly advise against visiting this place unless you want to be treated as a friend with respect and proper service."

"The opening hours are confusing because their kitchen closes at 15:30pm yet they still serve coffee and cake until 16:30pm. They ought to set up two businesses on Google maps to cater for these two operations. Also their chef doesn't seem to know how to make a risotto. They're using pearl barley yet are only cooking it for 20 minutes (it needs at least 40 to 50 minutes), so expect indigestion if you eat it. It also didn't seem to be seasoned so had almost no flavour. And when I pointed this out to them, the manager spoke to me yet didn't offer any money back, he might have apologised but if he did I didn't notice. "On a busy Sunday in Lewes, we discovered a light, airy, and peaceful cafe. The food has always been good, and during this visit I enjoyed a soup with sourdough toast. The soup was tasty, but the toast resembled white sliced bread rather than sourdough. When I asked the young man serving us about this, he insisted it was sourdough from a well-known baker, although I had my doubts. Despite a slight delay in receiving menus, the service was friendly and efficient. It would be nice to have a jug of water available instead of just a glass of tap water. Although the young staff seemed a bit bored, I would still revisit this little oasis of calm that offers good food at a reasonable price."

"We parked our campervan for the night and arrived late at the restaurant. Even though they had stopped serving food, the staff kindly prepared some delicious burgers and chips for us. The homemade burgers were fantastic and really showcased the quality ingredients they use. The staff and locals were friendly and hospitable. The parking fee for staying overnight was only £10, and they often have live music events. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future. Despite being located next to a railway station and near a road, the noise was not a major issue for us and the location suited our needs perfectly."

"This community-owned pub is a pleasant spot to stop during a walk from Helford to St Anthony. The food is good and the welcome can vary depending on who is serving that day. It's worth noting that the atmosphere may be more appealing to Daily Mail readers than Daily Mirror readers. Overall, I gave the food a rating of 4 out of 5."

"what an excellent little spot! my man and I have dipped here for lunch on a Saturday and the variety of foods in the offer was excellent. we had a veggie baked kartoffel and it was honestly the best baked kartoffel we ever had. piled high with vegetarian chili, cheese, sour cream and jalapenos delicious! even the outside had a little salt rub, so the skin were crispy and a nice wise to remove what remained of the filling. I didn't think I was the kind of person who could look forward to a baked kartoffel, but there you go. we also liked that all the crowns were for sale Yorkshire wars that we had to resist the offense to buy all for a tasting flight from yorkshire kartoffel y goodness. also, cheese and marmite toasties, what is not to love? the chap that served us was very smiling, friendly and helpful, and the place was spotless. highly recommended!"

"This was an absolutely wonderful experience. We came here for my birthday after buying a voucher through Virgin Experiences, and we weren’t disappointed. Firstly, the staff are extremely friendly and took the time to discuss my dietary requirements. They also had an absolutely fantastic selection of tea from around the world, which was unlimited. This includes various oolong teas, black teas, white teas and teas such as rose bud tea and peppermint tea. I tried a green tea and the peppermint tea which was absolutely delicious. Their own blend looked delicious too. The espressos were also very nice. In regards to the food, this was fantastic. When they bring the plates, they explain the order in which to eat them to have the best possible experience and the menu has recommendations on tea to have with each course. Each sandwich was absolutely delicious, and the cakes were to die for too. Once you’re done with this, they bring out warm scones with jam and cream which are amazing. I liked that they were able to fully accommodate my dairy free requirements here too by offering vegan versions of dairy products. They also presented me with a birthday card and a small birthday dessert which I really appreciated, and this was a lovely touch. They also didn’t make us feel rushed which was great, and helped us to relax. The only criticism I would have is that it would be good to have a seating area whilst you’re waiting for your table. For certain teas like peppermint, the strainers could be a bit a bit smaller to stop leaves getting through and into the cup. Apart from that though, this was a great experience and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone. I would definitely come back here, as this was a thoroughly enjoyable visit."

"We recently had a wonderful event at Bibby Farm Scout Camp and were recommended Katy's Kitchen by the Scouts, who clearly know good food when they see it. The main buffet was excellent and great value, but the real highlight was the children's sandwiches, which included jam, chocolate, and cheese spreads (not all in the same sandwich). Many adults tried to sneak a few onto their plates. The chicken kebabs were good, but the chicken nuggets were the real standout. Absolutely delicious! As someone with celiac disease, I had my own tray of food and felt extremely safe and well taken care of."

"I know people rave about this place and It has a Michelin Green Star, however my family and I were so disappointed. I have only just now had an opportunity to post a review. It was my daughters 16th Birthday and she especially wanted to come and experience the food and ambience. For a set £90 per head for 3 course before drinks, there was no other options to have less food. The appetizers listed were so common place and uninspired. Melon with prosciutto and bruschetta with tomatoes??? My partner and I don’t eat bacon so we were given a small piece of the melon with a basil leaf instead. Three of us had the linguine with chili crab and one had the Scottish griolles on bruschetta. The crab linguine was like eating pasta swimming in lemon dish water. It was overly lemony and you couldn’t taste the crab at all. The mushrooms on toast were soggy and again nothing special. For mains the girls fared better, one had the lamb and the other the beef which was reasonable. I had the plaice and my partner had the sea bream. Unfortunately both dishes were absolutely tasteless. I would say that I have a discerning palate and can appreciate the more subtle flavors of these two fish dishes but I’m afraid I had to basically force myself to finish the fish so that I wouldn’t waste the £30 it cost to have this dish in front of me. The potato side we ordered was overly salted so was jarring against the flavourless fish. Two of the desserts were the only discernible dishes that were remotely passable from the menu we experienced this evening. The strawberry cheesecake and the peach frangipane tart which were nice enough but for £30 for each dessert I was expecting something special. one of my daughters ordered the tiramisu, which was a deconstructed version of the dessert and it was a hopeless effort that came with a side of very strong expresso which they didn’t explain at all. So unbeknownst to my daughter she poured most of it over the dessert and the end result was inedible. The atmosphere wasn’t that great, the staff were attentive in a slightly haughty way but I wish they would have explained the dishes a little more. All in all I will not be back and I will give an honest opinion to anyone that asks me about our visit to the restaurant, this is one of the worst meal I have had all year."

"3 days spent in inverness and happy for us we came over this bakery on the way to the city on our 1st day. we had beautiful chickenska sandwiches on brown brot. delicious ktikka and really soft, thick cut brot. So we went back well. every day and had something different, but always on the brown brot. the crowning chicken was also beautiful and the sandwich was full. the only thing I would say is for the speck sandwich, due to the size of the slices of brot and extra beat would be most welcome to fill the sandwich. good prices for this day and age. the staff was also beautiful and friendly, what they would expect from a family baker."
