"I wanted this place to imagine everything, I guess it started bad when the metal chairs were too cold to sit and the door was left open casually. Unfortunately, the selection of cake was not better than you could buy in the cold section of tesco’s. the cakes were inspiring and had no deep, clear nothing to house and I would definitely think of changing suppliers. the latte was unnoticed and the tee was a cheap double tee bag for unacceptable in this day and age. Unfortunately, this was opened with the tourist understanding that has no expectations and improves the idea of the insensitive English food. so a shame to avoid all costs, there are so many better places...more"

"all those people who leave 1 star (or low star reviews) have either extremely high expectations or just have to be out to harm the call of a gem of a sandwich shop. I stopped yesterday, was late for lunch to my surprise and joy that they were still open, was a waiting queue to eat, so I might have been happy that they thought they would do 1 more order. I had the cheese-cutney sandwich couldn't resist the Scotch egg with black pudding. the Scotch egg was phenomenal, black pudding mixed with the sausage meat, a soft egg yolk practically still runny, which I really did not expect to add only to the already large aromene, the egg comes with a small pot homemade brown sauce (ketchup is an option, but I prefer brown soße) also the soße is a normal but it is a manifestation, it is a the sandwich was ineffective, thick-cut cheese on a homemade roll with homemade chutney (I suppose when everything else was made home) filled with fresh salad, I am curious what the difference between this is the ploughman’s, as it was in the round a ploughmans sandwich. the brot, cheese salad were all fresh taste amazing, the chutney transformed it, was like a cross between chutney salsa like the brown sauce was more sweet without much flavor, but really a great amount taste to what was possibly the best sandwich I had ever had! well made youngs, eating is great a try worth. reasonably also consider that it is the center of harrogate."

"I have visited for many years and have watched this Tea Shoppe change and evolve. There are lots of parking spaces for your cars or bike, so they are safe. The Owners and Staff are extremely courteous and go over and above to give you...a warm welcome on arrival. The atmosphere is really warm and pleasant inside the Tea Room and sitting outside in summer is equally as nice to relax and enjoy your time there. During winter there is a marquee to cover the garden and patio heaters, if you want to sit outside with your pets. The menu is varied for the season and their specials offered for lunch are a delight. However this is one of the best places around for a fabulous breakfast. The produce is locally sourced and exceptional. A recent addition of the degree coffee is welcomed and with their home made cakes and scones on offer is definitely not to be missed. I also have a local Business and recommend my clients to eat and drink there each week and I always get good and positive feedback. Some of my Clients drive back to the village after their stay with us, just to re-visit the Tea Shoppe and enjoy their exceptional homemade cuisine. I would highly recommend a visit for their consistency and such stunning surroundings to relax in. Dont forget a visit to the new Flower Shop too, the flowers are absolutely stunning ! . Thank you."

"We haven't been to Worcester for ages so have only just discovered the Hangar Cafe, what a lovely hidden gem! Good food, freshly made, reasonably priced and generous portions and very considerate of allergies if only all cafes were so considerate. The staff were...friendly and helpful, checking with me re my allergy and making absolutely sure that everything was good. My partner had the Sucuk plate which was apparently delicious (I couldn't try it because of my allergy) and I had the Borek plate which could have fed us both, it was so huge, although I wouldn't have shared the delicious hummus without a fight. We will be back"

"Been here a few times, but not over the past 6-7 years. Happy Cow sticker on the entrance door. I remember it being nice in the summer, making use of the terrace. That wasn’t open today, despite the good weather. Inside was humid. Service staff were moderately friendly, not as friendly as I would have hoped. Menu isn’t quite what is available online, but there are a few options for vegans, which is good. We got there just after the breakfast menu time, so we had the afternoon menu (picture uploaded). I had the vegan BLT (see picture) and fat chips, which were excellent. Probably the best vegan BLT I’ve had if I’m telling the truth. Wife had a veggie option which she said was very nice. Moderately pricey for quantity. Wouldn’t be opposed to a return."

"9 of us came to celebrate a birthday with an afternoon tea. We were seated in a side shed which was fine for us. Teas and coffees came in pots and were absolutely fine. The food arrived with a gluten free option and a child option, both of which received thumbs up. I can only really judge my own food though. The bread for the sandwiches was nice but some of the filling was too dry with little to moisten the sandwich making it dry. The egg mayo one obviously got that right and was really nice, but the chicken and salad one took more chewing than it should have done. The mini sausage roll was lovey and warm…. On the outside and frozen in the centre…. Not good I’m afraid! The berries accompanying the dessert elements were good and the scone was nice along with the cream and jam. The small cake element and cupcake were overly sweet and with far too much buttercream, creating an unpleasant sweet overload that wasn’t for me at all. I appreciate that an afternoon tea has many elements and getting them all in a row is a difficulty in itself, unfortunately for me though there were a few elements that detracted from my enjoyment of it. Not awful by any means, but room for improvement. Good location, nice decor and friendly staff."

"It’s great to find a good quality, independent coffee shop that offers real competition to the chains. Coffee and pastry lovers like me really like supporting these businesses. However, whilst I accept that prices are going to be a little higher, there’s a limit to the premium that I’m prepared to pay. I’ve only recently moved to Windsor, so I’m still learning about the various establishments at the eating end of Peascod Street, and I will definitely return to Lilly’s to try some of the other items on the menu. But I won’t be having the tuna mayonnaise on sourdough at £7.50 again since I thought at that price there ought to be some crisps and/or some coleslaw or perhaps some pickled vegetables? It’s clearly a family run establishment, and it’s lovely to have found it, so I hope they don’t don’t fall into the trap of increasing prices in order to compensate for reduced covers during the Covid fallout period."

"Visited today with family for the first time but we had a poor experience. We were seated for 30 mins before someone came took our order. Once our order was took, we waited another 30 mins for our food, it was a little busy but not over run busy. I asked the staff about our order they didn’t know what I was on about, only later for them to apologise as they “didn’t have our order in” Once we received our order, we needed cutlery which they “Forgot about too” our food was cold cutlery was dirty. It was a very hectic experience Un relaxed. The waiter appeared untrained the staff in the kitchen seemed to be running around like headless chickens… overall, we had a poor experience which was disappointing."

"I went to Penygawse for the second time the other day the first being in 2019 I live 140 miles away so this limits how often I can visit!! We were staying in the area so suggested to my wife and daughter we should have breakfast there as I remembered it being so good. My wife and I loved the delicious Veggie breakfast and coffee, and my daughter enjoyed the pancakes which she described as ‘nice and fluffy!’ The staff were really friendly and service was brilliant. When I’m back in the area I’ll definitely come back"

"The staff are really good. They went out of their way to ensure that the service was good and we never had empty plates on the table for long. The food portions however were not so good. I had a breakfast which was just a...slice of bacon, one egg and some beans with 1 slice of toast. It could hardly be called a breakfast. The food tasted good though so the quality of food was definitely good enough. We also had cake which was good. My wife had a cream tea here which was her third cream tea of the week! This little cafe had the best cream tea of them all apparently."

"We’ve been coming here for maybe 20 years because it’s at the start (or end depending on which way you’re heading) of the Snowdon Watkin path. Which in my opinion is the best route in terms of scenery. The first time we came here a long time ago when veganism wasn’t as big a deal, the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. They made my partner a lovely hummus and onion sandwich with crisps on the side even though it wasn’t on the menu. From that time onwards, the food has just been getting better and better. Today (17.09.23) we shared an amazing cheese toasty with tasty French onion soup on the side. I also ordered a spring onion roll with salad and coleslaw. Both meals were of a standard that you would struggle to find anywhere in the area. I’m certain you won’t find any cafe, pub or restaurant in the nearby Beddgelert that can compete as I’ve already walked, cycled and driven through there numerous times this year and found nothing worth writing about. Keep it up!"

"If you visit Droitwich and need a drink or meal then Spats is where you should head for. Spats is a delightful cafe in Droitwich's unique High Street. The meals are varied and all freshly prepared and we have never been disappointed. The accommodation is deceiving as there is additional seating both upstairs and outside with two garden rooms at the rear. If you enjoy alfresco eating then there is an area opposite the cafe where you can eat or drink and watch the world go by. All of this with attentive and very friendly staff."

"Regular visitors to port Isaac, we have always looked forward to and enjoyed coming to Longcross for a few days rest and relaxation. Unfortunately we were not overly impressed this time around. The disappointment was with the restaurant. Breakfast the cold buffet of assorted meats, pastries and cheeses was very good. The hot breakfast menu was a disaster. Smoked Haddock on rice(? Not wanting this, my husband requested poached smoked Haddock but received the Haddock flaked and extremely dry, set on a bed of awful, dry, undercooked rice with a poached egg placed on top. It looked terrible, was bland and generally awful. Needless to say it was not eaten. The waiter did offer to change the meal having realised a mistake had been made but we did not want to wait another half an hour for the correct dish to be served. Needless to say, our breakfasts following this consisted of the cold buffet and toast. A couple of days into our stay we mentioned we would like to bring some friends to the restaurant for lunch and was this possible? (Having done the same thing only a year ago and having had a very nice lunch served that time We were told it would be fine. On the day I picked up a lunch menu an hour prior to their arrival only to find a very basic choice of burger or scampi served with chips amongst a few other offerings. We do not travel to Port Isaac to eat burgers or fried scampi..! What a disappointment. Needless to say, we arranged to meet our friends elsewhere and enjoyed a fresh seafood lunch. Evening meals Good but expensive. Starters OK. Mains priced between £17 and £24. Nice menu, good food, cooked and served well although an hour 's wait on one of the evenings followed by the Chef coming out to say sorry but 'I 'm training 2 useless chefs in there.. ' The service in the restaurant was average, the waitress was OTT and we felt a little patronising at times. The restaurant was also very cold in the evenings. Views are wonderful (always have been and rooms are good so unfortunately a very mixed review this time around."

"We came here for breakfast the other day, after looking for a suitable highly rated place on Trip Advisor. It was a nice place. The food was really nice, but the highlight was the service. The lady who served us was just really good at her job. Not only when she spoke to us, but you could hear how she dealt with other customers too, and she was just very professional, polite and natural. I was super impressed. It's not often that you come across someone who provides that level of service, and it made me smile. She was great! And then a different lady took our payment as we left, and she was also lovely. So the service was the star. I feel like I should score higher than a 4, but there's something holding me back. The food was lovely, but I'd had better similar food a couple of days before, in a place with possibly better atmosphere. So maybe I'm judging it on their competition, but hopefully still deemed a really good score. A nice place and I'd definitely recommend it."

"What has happened to the courtyard cafe? For some time now the service has been non existent. It has become so bad that even though we are members, we have stopped going. On our last visit, we stood at the entrance whilst being ignored. Finally we were given a table and a menu and order taken. Our meal arrived and basically that was it. There was absolutely no interaction with us after that. We finished our food and waited for someone to clear our plates and ask if we would like dessert. After 30 minutes still no-one had approached our table. I looked around and several tables were in exactly the same position. There were plenty of staff but they are either chatting at the coffee machine or delivering a meal and then walking passed all the tables to get back to the coffee machine! One elderly couple asked twice for the dessert menu. Other tables next to us stacked their plates and pushed them to the edge of the table to get attention. Finally, we got up and went to pay and leave, feeling completely ignored. No-one was at the cash till. We waited and finally someone came. I explained that we would have like a dessert but no-one had come. The couple behind us who had also given up waiting said they had ordered a dessert but it never turned up. The service has been like this for a few months now and is getting worse. We shall not be renewing our membership but then will anyone at Castle Howard even notice?"

"We had lunch here today, in the garden. We chose the sweet potato burger (with a yummy brown roll and a delicious sriracha mayonnaise) and the Buddha box (brown rice, falafel, hummus, veg) and thought both were excellent for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike tasty...and healthy and not expensive. I don’t know when I was last so impressed with a meal in a cafe! Service with a smile, too."

"This was a first visit we picked as a convenient mid way meet up venue close to the A14, and what a great find! We emailed ahead to reserve a table and sat outside on a beautiful sunny September day. We decided to go for a late breakfast, and had a gluten free bacon sandwich( thanks for making my bacon crispy) and a gluten free eggs and bacon on toast. The coffee was good, as was the gluten free lemon bakewell and Lady Grey tea that we had as we chatted for so long that lunchtime loomed. It was great to have a choice of four gf cakes, an alternative milk, and friendly helpful staff. I would have loved to try some of their homemade soup, but let's be honest if you can only fit in one thing then it's always going to be cake! The tables were well spaced, hand sanitisers strategically placed and it felt covid safe. Will definitely be back."
