"Firstly I was greeted with an abrupt “what do you want?” I then ordered and I have never had someone be so rude just listening to an order. The lady then gave me my tea (which tasted like water). My friend then ordered and the woman started waving her hands in her face because she was distracted. The lady threw the spoon with the order number down in front of her. My other friend then ordered and wanted an extra hash brown with her fry up and asked for no mushrooms, and was told she wasn’t allowed to make this many changes at the weekend. The woman was then just shouting at all her staff and being rude to so many customers. The food wasn’t that good either. I was completely shocked by the customer service in this place. The woman was also shouting at the young girl serving, who couldn’t have been any older than 16 years old. I’m giving a very generous 2 star rating!"

"My wife loved her sandwich, although she mentioned that it would have been easier to eat with a plate and cutlery due to the generous amount of filling - half of which ended up in the bag after she finished the sandwich. She suggested that a smaller size option would be a good idea, as the portion was quite large and could easily serve two people without skimping. The "pig in duvet," on the other hand, was a more modest size but packed with delicious flavors. It set a new standard for sausage rolls with its smoked bacon, tasty sausage meat, perfect spice level, and flaky yet stable pastry. The only improvement would be serving it warm. I was not a fan of the brownies, possibly because they were gluten-free. This was a bit disappointing after the amazing sausage roll. However, I will definitely be returning to try their coffee and stick to the savory options, as they were a hit."

"We’ve been coming here for maybe 20 years because it’s at the start (or end depending on which way you’re heading) of the Snowdon Watkin path. Which in my opinion is the best route in terms of scenery. The first time we came here a long time ago when veganism wasn’t as big a deal, the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. They made my partner a lovely hummus and onion sandwich with crisps on the side even though it wasn’t on the menu. From that time onwards, the food has just been getting better and better. Today (17.09.23) we shared an amazing cheese toasty with tasty French onion soup on the side. I also ordered a spring onion roll with salad and coleslaw. Both meals were of a standard that you would struggle to find anywhere in the area. I’m certain you won’t find any cafe, pub or restaurant in the nearby Beddgelert that can compete as I’ve already walked, cycled and driven through there numerous times this year and found nothing worth writing about. Keep it up!"

"Stopped in on the way back from Livingston and had a light lunch. This was our 2nd visit and that tells it's own story. Staff are great. The food is tasty, fresh and a wee bit on the unusual side. I had a plate of home made soup and a sandwich. My wife also had soup and some pate. And very nice it all was. A good measure of an establishments quality, in my opinion, is the cleanliness of the toilet facilities. This gets a 5 star rating on that score! We couldn't resist the scones either but as we were choc full after our lunch these were taken home. With the staff kindly providing butter and jam. Pop in if you're passing. You won't be disappointed!"

"I just returned from this amazing restaurant! Despite traveling many miles, it was definitely worth it. The staff was super attentive and friendly. We had two delicious cappuccinos, two fantastic full English breakfasts, and two Irish coffees for only £17. There was even free street parking available, although it may be a bit difficult to find a spot. I will definitely return here without hesitation if I am in the area again. The atmosphere was nice, with a young and welcoming vibe. Highly recommended!"

"We were camping locally and wanted to eat out with our friends and family within walking distance. We visited yesterday as a booked party of 18 people.Caroline the owner was extremely helpful when we were booking and as we were a large party we Pre booked our orders. We we’re all sat together in the side room. All the staff were extremely welcoming and the service was very prompt. The food all came out at the same time and we didn’t have any complaints at all.I had the beef cob and it was beautiful, followed by scone and jam We visited the next day for bacon batches and we received a lovely welcome again and delicious food.Andrew the owner also recommended a local campsite for our next holiday as unfortunately the one we were staying at wasn’t very good.We will definitely return again."

"So upset. Told them I was vegan and wheat free a number of times! They said they could make me a number if things that would be vegan and wheat free. So I order a vegan cheeze and vegan bacon toastie or gluten free bread. It’s so hard for me to eat out, I was really hungry and excited! However, then they put real bacon in my toastie with the vegan cheeze, I discovered it as I took an huge bite on the train home!!! I haven’t eat meat for such a long time and have been vegan for years!!! I’m furious and disgusted!"

"Once again, The Garden Tea Rooms has exceeded expectations! I truly believe that it doesn't get much better than this tea room. I ordered the chilli and cheese hot dog with cheesy nachos topped with salad, salsa, guacamole, and sour cream. The portions were generous, with 2 plump Lincolnshire sausages that were absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. My partner had the pork and apple stuffing brioche with cheesy potatoes and pigs in blankets, which was a huge meal. This hidden gem of a restaurant deserves all the recognition it receives. Despite the abundance of tea rooms nowadays, The Garden Tea Rooms always comes out on top in our opinion!"

"Been here a few times, but not over the past 6-7 years. Happy Cow sticker on the entrance door. I remember it being nice in the summer, making use of the terrace. That wasn’t open today, despite the good weather. Inside was humid. Service staff were moderately friendly, not as friendly as I would have hoped. Menu isn’t quite what is available online, but there are a few options for vegans, which is good. We got there just after the breakfast menu time, so we had the afternoon menu (picture uploaded). I had the vegan BLT (see picture) and fat chips, which were excellent. Probably the best vegan BLT I’ve had if I’m telling the truth. Wife had a veggie option which she said was very nice. Moderately pricey for quantity. Wouldn’t be opposed to a return."

"It’s great to find a good quality, independent coffee shop that offers real competition to the chains. Coffee and pastry lovers like me really like supporting these businesses. However, whilst I accept that prices are going to be a little higher, there’s a limit to the premium that I’m prepared to pay. I’ve only recently moved to Windsor, so I’m still learning about the various establishments at the eating end of Peascod Street, and I will definitely return to Lilly’s to try some of the other items on the menu. But I won’t be having the tuna mayonnaise on sourdough at £7.50 again since I thought at that price there ought to be some crisps and/or some coleslaw or perhaps some pickled vegetables? It’s clearly a family run establishment, and it’s lovely to have found it, so I hope they don’t don’t fall into the trap of increasing prices in order to compensate for reduced covers during the Covid fallout period."

"We had lunch here today and although being busy is usually an encouraging sign as clinically vulnerable to covid I was a little nervous to enter. It's quite small so not much room to social distance but staff wore masks, a screen was at the till, sanitiser was available and staff were actively sanitising tables and chairs between customers. There was a particularly attentive young man serving who was very helpful. I was glad to see lots of gluten free menu options as a coeliac and well priced. Would certainly come back if in the area."

"I had a rather stressful lunch experience. I picked up two kids' lunch boxes but discovered there were no sandwiches inside, so I assumed they were made at the counter. When I got to the till, I learned that I had to pick them up from a separate fridge at the entrance, which had a very limited selection (only cheese sandwiches left). This meant I had to leave the queue to get the sandwiches and then rejoin the end of the line. There were no signs indicating where to find the sandwiches, and the food displays were mostly empty with no hot food available. I eventually left the queue to see if I had overlooked something regarding where to find the food. Overall, it felt chaotic, with too many people and very few food options."

"Happened across this by chance and wow what a find! It was a little too damp to sit in the courtyard itself on the day we visited but the inside was welcoming. The staff are very pleasant, greeted with smiles and the whole place is lovely and clean. We only intended to have a cuppa but decided to try food omelette with spinach and soup of the day (pea and mint) with cheese scone both absolutely delicious. Scone was warm and soup homemade , the omelette was light and fluffy with just enough spinach, served with salad. Definitely recommended . We didn’t partake in cake but can say they looked mouth watering delectable. And whilst seems strange to add, the facilities were clean and whilst it’s just the one it is worth a visit just to give you a chuckle you will know what I mean when you pay a visit! We will definitely be back and try the cakes next time"

"My friend I visited this small cafe were very disappointed with our food. I had ordered a Cheddar cheese Ploughman's which came with pickle, coleslaw, salad along with the cheese 2 slices of thin granny bread apple, Big disappointment when it arrived as I had a few leaves of green salad mixture,1 slice of cucumber, a quarter of a wedge of tomato,a few seeds of goodness knows what ! 3 thin slices of cheddar cheese,1 pickled onion cut in half 3 thin slices of apple for a price £7-50 along with an banana milkshake with ice cream costing £2-50. My friend had sausage, beans chips added 2 eggs which she was charged £1 extra for those. All in all.a disappointment."

"Called around 10 .30am to order brunch only to be informed they were having a break from brunch but could wait 20minutes ?? Staff extremely busy and tbh never stopped running around so think break could have been due to being overwhelmed as very busy...cafe . We did wait but when food arrived we were slightly disappointed. Eggs were definitely not free range , they were tiny and the yolk was very pale yellow . The wild mushrooms were bland and the sour dough was sliced extremely thin . Overall experience poor but staff lovely hence why bumped up score to 3 stars . I won’t return or be recommending ."

"We went to this beautiful hotel on Sunday for roast dinner on my birthday. We arrived at 12-30 and sat at a lovely table, in the conservatory, which had a lovely view of the sea. It overlooked onto a balcony, which then looked onto the gardens and sea view, beautiful. We had a very friendly man bought us the menus, a lady came to get us some drinks, then another lady took our order for our food. We all had roast lamb, which was delicious, the vegetables were broccoli, carrots, leeks, cabbage with cheese sauce on. We had mint sauce, we all finished our dinner, which is a good sign how good it was. The only tip I could give is maybe we should of been offered Yorkshire, which I know goes with roast beef, but most people like a Yorkshire with their Sunday roast. Maybe just given the choice as most places do offer them. We had lovely choice of puddings, my sister had crumble, my brother in law had raspberry sorbet and I had pastacchio meringue with clotted cream and salted caramel ice cream. We had a bottle of wine between us, my brother in law had coffee. We came out feeling really satisfied with this beautiful place and food. Well worth a visit."
