"Visited with a group of friends last Thursday tea time as Steak night was recommended (two steaks, all the trimmings, two desserts and a bottle of wine for 24.95). There was of course other options available on the menu burgers, Hunters chicken, hanging kebabs etc all for around the price of 9.95. Four of us opted for the steaks and we weren't disappointed steak, choice of chunky chips or fries, onion rings, salad, tomatoes, mushrooms and a choice of peppercorn sauce of Stilton and mushroom. Dessert choices were chocolate fudge cake, sticky toffee pudding, apple crumble all served with either cream, ice cream or custard. Washed down with a bottle of red. Other friend got the chicken burger and it was so big she had to chop it into pieces and it back in her bun! Needless to say all portions were of a generous size. Wait wasn't too long either about 25 mins. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff. Will definitely be returning soon."

"Did a search on google for best afternoon tea in Hitchin and this place came up in the top 10. As we are not local we contacted them directly and they were so helpful and professional and arranged a delivery of afternoon tea not only for our daughter and her husband but a special one for our Grandson who absolutely loved having his own! The food was all fresh, lots of choice and plenty of it to and our family thoroughly enjoyed it. You will not be disappointed here, we can only thank Charlotte for all the help she gave us, keep up the excellent work"

"We popped in today for a quick lunch with our two dogs who were welcomed with fresh water and a treat each. Good start. Struggled to choose what to eat as it all sounded so good and we weren’t disappointed, these were the best toasted...sandwiches we have ever had. They were served with salad and tortilla crisps. The sandwiches were made with a seeded batch bread and were full with warm gooey cheese and I had caramelised onion pickle too. So so good. The Staff are lovely and it was not a surprise that the place quickly filled. A hidden gem I’d say but well worth finding. Definitely popping back when we are next passing this way."

"Are you looking for an independent coffee shop in Liverpool? Look no further. Rococo is located strategically in the centre of Liverpool city. They have plenty of comfy seats, perfect for catching up with friends. In fact, this cafe is where I met my partner five years ago! I love their latte and mocha. Coffee is smooth and robust. Don’t forget their cakes too. The staff was friendly and attentive. All in all, this is a brilliant independent coffee shop in Liverpool."

"It is best to avoid this restaurant and instead go to Coastal Coffee. After reading a review by Megan Potter mentioning rude staff, we unfortunately experienced the same treatment. Upon arrival, we noticed an empty outdoor table without a menu. When we asked inside, we received a vague explanation about seating rules. When we asked for a menu, we were met with frustration because there was already one on the table. The staff member rushed us to order before we even had a chance to look at the menu. When we asked for more time, we were met with eye rolls and a strange comment about everyone being weird that day. The staff member's attitude made our experience unpleasant. We decided to leave and found better service at Coastal Coffee. The food there was delicious and made up for our earlier disappointment. It's a shame that one bad employee can ruin the charm of a place."

"Went there yesterday with my wife for dinner. I 've been to some of their other outlets as well. Although I 've found their burgers to be good but I do struggle to understand what 's really gourmet about them. Does anything above Mcdonalds/Burger King qualify as gourmet? The service, while not terrible, is just about par for the course. The staff look on the job but hardly make an effort to please. And why should a gourmet place make its customers order at the till? On the bright side, you can help yourself to the monkey nuts free of charge next to the till! We ordered a Classic Veggie(without bun, with green salad) and a Major Tom(without bun, with char grilled corn). You can skip the bun for sides for extra 50p. The fizzy drinks come with free refills- the ginger and lemongrass drink was rather refreshing. We ordered a glass of apple juice as well. The food arrived after 10-15 min and was quite qood. The overall ambience is nice and it 's location along the Portobello Road should ensure regular footfalls."

"Staff were friendly but the food was shocking. Sausages were cold in the middle on one plate, pink in the middle on my babies lunch. All the sausages just looked wrong and not cooked.Prices were quite steep, well above London prices. The orders were muddled, well done bacon was no where near well done I would say only just cooked. Gave almost raw bacon and runny egg to my pregnant partner who asked for it all to be well done.We refused to eat and left only paying for the drinks. The stars are purely for the staff response and service."

"Lovely cafe in the centre of the village, a short walk from the fabulous beach. Mainly indoors but with a couple of tables on the pavement. The friendly, vegan-aware staff were very flexible with the breakfast menu just what I needed after surfing. I've not found soya milk elsewhere in the village. They've got a small range of alcohol too. They're open from 10-4 (sometimes 3) every day, plus occasional evening events check by phone or on facebook."

"Having read good reviews of this place we decided to call in for a sandwich when we visited Padstow, it is tucked away up one of the streets from the harbour area so a little quieter than the mad tourist areas. Not much seating, only one table and a window seat, but they were happy for us to sit there. Really lovely ladies serving, delicious prawn sandwich, plenty of locals popping in and out which is always a good sign! 10/10."

"This charming café has a welcoming atmosphere with a staff that is friendly and serves delicious cakes. However, during my visit, it felt more like a dog park. The smell of dogs was overwhelming and the dog at the neighboring table was constantly jumping up at me. Are dog owners so inconsiderate? Shouldn't dogs be kept out of cafes where people are dining? It's not only unhygienic, but also disruptive to the other customers. It's surprising that even clothing stores like Next have stricter rules about allowing dogs inside than places that serve food. The waitress had difficulty serving at the neighboring table due to the dog being in the way. Unfortunately, I probably won't be returning due to this policy. What a shame."

"It was a Sunday (when most chip shops are shut) and' fancying fish and chips we read the previous reviews of Central Cafe and decided to head there. The staff were friendly and the fish and chips were among the best I had tasted. My eldest daughter is a vegetarian and in the past it has been hard to find things for her to have with her chips at other similar eateries. For example in Yorkshire earlier this year she just had to have a bag of chips as there was nothing else which did not contain either meat or fish. Myself and my wife had fish and chips, my youngest daughter had the sausage and chips children's meal and my eldest had the veggie burger. After getting our meals (it was busy but after we paid the staff brought the food out to us in the car) we drove to the Isle of Whithorn and had our food overlooking the sea. They also have a slush machine which was a bonus as we all love a slush, especially in the summer. They had strawberry and raspberry (with mixes of the two available). They also had a variety of chocolate bars available at reasonable prices and sold ice cream. If you are in this part of south Scotland (Newton Stewart Wigtown), pay this chippy a visit. Great tasty food and friendly staff what more could you ask for?"

"We have visited this restaurant multiple times in the past few months, mainly for breakfast/brunch. Despite its small size, the restaurant is always busy with a high demand. There is usually a wait for a table, but the diverse menu featuring English, American, and Asian dishes makes it worth it. I always try something new and am never disappointed. On this visit, my partner had the all day breakfast and I had an Asian dish with pork belly (unfortunately, the dish is not listed on the online menu). The pork belly was delicious and had a spicy kick to it. My partner enjoyed his full English as usual. We also tried milkshakes with added protein, which were a hit. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future."

"Located in the middle of Driffied shopping centre, I had read a previous review praising the scones, so I decided to give this place a try. We were surprised to find that the restaurant was two flights of stairs up, but despite our age of 86, we managed to make it. Once seated, we found the atmosphere to be nice and light, and the decor was well appointed. My friend ordered the brunch, while I opted for the cauliflower and broccoli cheese bake. Both dishes were good, but my bake was quite large and nothing particularly special. Unfortunately, they were out of scones, so we shared a caramel shortcake, which was delicious but very rich. When I asked for it to be cut in half, the person in charge kindly provided us with two plates. The only downside was that the sauces and vinegar were in sachets, which were difficult to open, even the salt was."

"Horrible experience at this restaurant. We booked a table for 12:30, but our food didn't arrive until half an hour later. When it did come, it was the wrong order and we had to send it back. After waiting for another half hour, we still hadn't received our meals, despite other customers around us getting served. After waiting for an hour, we decided to leave without being served. When we tried to complain, we were told that the manager was busy. I would recommend avoiding this restaurant."

"The Blue Bicycle came recommended by a friend in work. I took my Son and Mum for lunch, the cafe is located in the centre of Neston. Free parking available a short distance away in a nearby carpark. I booked a table in advance which was straight forward and easy enough. We arrived early and our table was ready. The staff where really friendly and chatty. We each opted for a sandwich, I had soup with mine. It was thick, tasty and full of flavour. The sandwiches where all freshly prepared and came with a colourful side salad. We all enjoyed our food, a really lovely cafe to drop by for lunch. The cakes looked yummy, maybe next time as I'd promised my son an ice cream at Parkgate, which was about a 20 minute walk away"

"I have been visiting this place on and off for years whenever I'm exhibiting at the nearby Olympia. It is a hidden gem, tucked away as it is in the residential streets that surround the Olympia complex. It is always friendly, and welcoming and very good value. On the downside it is a little drafty, a little shopworn and can be noisy with the coffee machine constantly cutting in, so it isn't conducive to conversation. The wooden chairs and ceramic floor aren't that comfortable, so it isn't very cosy and probably not a good venue to spend a lot of time in. But for a quick breakfast or snack it is ideal, and they tend to do quite a brisk take away trade, so for the most part the ambience isn't an issue. I always have the full English breakfast, which is substantial, and much more reasonably priced than say a typical Wetherspoons breakfast. This one has a meaty sausage and comes with ample beans, thick bacon and two eggs on toast (see picture). No measly portions here. All that for £9 with a drink included. I'm so pleased that this place doesn't cynically hike its prices just because of its location. It is a traditional honest to goodness caff that is also quite popular with the cabbies, and let's face it, they know a thing or two. I would recommend checking this place out before opting for the ubiquitous branded coffee chains that abound only a short walk away in the nearby Kensington High Street."

"I have visited this restaurant three times now and I just can't get enough of the goat cheese, chilli jam and tomato toastie! The thick granary bread with a generous serving of goat cheese, toasted to perfection, is absolutely delicious. At £3.50, it's a great deal for Leeds city centre. The café is small with a few tables for seating, and they even provide free water on the tables. The staff are always friendly and they also offer amazing brownies. It's unfortunate that I can't post photos on Trip Advisor."
