"I have been visiting this place on and off for years whenever I'm exhibiting at the nearby Olympia. It is a hidden gem, tucked away as it is in the residential streets that surround the Olympia complex. It is always friendly, and welcoming and very good value. On the downside it is a little drafty, a little shopworn and can be noisy with the coffee machine constantly cutting in, so it isn't conducive to conversation. The wooden chairs and ceramic floor aren't that comfortable, so it isn't very cosy and probably not a good venue to spend a lot of time in. But for a quick breakfast or snack it is ideal, and they tend to do quite a brisk take away trade, so for the most part the ambience isn't an issue. I always have the full English breakfast, which is substantial, and much more reasonably priced than say a typical Wetherspoons breakfast. This one has a meaty sausage and comes with ample beans, thick bacon and two eggs on toast (see picture). No measly portions here. All that for £9 with a drink included. I'm so pleased that this place doesn't cynically hike its prices just because of its location. It is a traditional honest to goodness caff that is also quite popular with the cabbies, and let's face it, they know a thing or two. I would recommend checking this place out before opting for the ubiquitous branded coffee chains that abound only a short walk away in the nearby Kensington High Street."

"Possibly the quaintest tea shop I've ever been in and the service was 10/10. Situated on Staithe Street in the coastal town of Wells-next-to-the-sea lies Mrs B's Tea Room and it's a cracking little place. The staff are really friendly and the food is incredibly good. There were 4 of us in our group and we decided to go for a Chocolate and Banana Milkshake, a slice of chocolate cookie cake, sausage roll, mint tea, a cheese scone and a latte. I decided on a cream tea with a scrioche. A scone crossed with a brioche loaf. Everyone agreed that it was really good food and drink. In total it came to just under £25 in total. Would I go back absolutely? Would I recommend Mrs B's to others? Absolutely I would."

"Bit of a dream. Wonderful decor, excellent wine list, utterly sensational beef ragu with pappardelle, friendly staff, all of whom are (literally) invested in the restaurant. Went for lunch, but suspect it would be as good if not better for dinner. Menu is short, well put together, and convincing. Cakes and bread in the window. The obvious place to go for lunch in Arundel, and a new star in the area: knocks The Pig well off its pedestal, and even threatens the Parson's Table."

"This lovely cafe sitting next to the stream with outside tables. We asked could we sit outside with our Basset Hound. Of course you can came the reply and such a fuss was made of ensuring the dog was comfy first. Fresh water bowl and a doggy ice cream, a special frozen yogurt pot for dogs. Once our dog was happy we were served. This means a lot to dog owners when our family members are made so welcome. We ordered drinks and sandwiches, the place was packed but there was no great delay in service we were surprised at the speed. The sandwiches were delicious in very soft bread plenty of filling and a very nice side salad just enough for a snack lunch. Although busy the staff were so friendly and could not do enough for customers, despite having to cope with all the COVID-19 regulations on top. We will be back."

"We went there for coffee today. I've ordered hot chocolate for the my son. He spilled it on his trousers and floor. Manager was very helpful. He cleaned the floor and rinsed my son's trousers with water. My son even got rewarded with a biscuit for his silly behaviour and the manager offered us a fresh hot chocolate, which we refused as we were afraid of a spillage replay. Very positively surprised."

"A little gem in the centre of Lampeter. Very traditional looking teashop. We visited twice once for breakfast, where we were treated to home made pancakes with crispy bacon and maple syrup, gorgeous, and good filter coffee. Having enjoyed our breakfast so much, we went back for lunch my partner had never tried cawl (a Welsh meat and vegetable stew not unlike Scouse), and I was delighted that her first experience of it should be this good! The version they served was made with beef, which I think is even better than the usual lamb. Very tasty, great lunch for a cold winter's day, and served with bread and butter and a nice chunk of cheddar cheese. We highly recommend Sospan Fach friendly service and good homemade food, what's not to like?!"

"As a local I have been here a few times, mainly bringing guests to visit the farm shop and cafe. It is not a cheap lunch and, yet again I am underwhelmed by the food and service. We waited an age to be seated while waiting staff walked past over ten times. They smiled but didn’t acknowledge that we were waiting. Eventually we were seated and given one menu.. between two. I had to get up and go and get another one. Is it really too much to have one each? We were offered and served drinks, no problem. We ordered two sandwiches no granary bread left. What? You have a farm shop next door! Ok we chose sourdough. The sandwiches arrived with a bunch of leaves on the side. No dressing, no love, no care. Just leaves. The biggest horror was that in, what is presented as a quality establishment we were served sandwiches with cheap, margarine type spread that stuff that comes in huge plastic tubs. Reeeevolting. As a chef I find this really not ok. Cheap and average, very expensive. That’s it. Will not chance it again I’m afraid."

"This charming British breakfast spot was so impressive that I had to return. I sampled their Scottish breakfast, which was unexpectedly hearty and satisfying from a tourist's viewpoint, as well as their fish and chips, which might just be the best I've had in the UK. I also tasted their poached eggs with smoked salmon, and the combination was truly excellent. A standout for me was the white chocolate fruit tart—absolutely divine! I highly recommend giving this place a try!"

"Smart well laid out pub deserving of the description of a gastro pub. We turned up without a booking but the staff worked out a table for us and we're very helpful. Menu gave us a choose of breakfast which then turned into a dinner menu 15 mins after we sat down so we had the best of both worlds. Lots of choice we settled for the breakfast. Steak and eggs for me, veggie for one of our group and two breakfast s one full blown and one slightly smaller. Food was good portions a little smaller than expected but still reasonable. Good atmosphere with groups eating or taking in cocktails from the broad choice in the drinks menu. Will use again as overall great venue."

"As someone who enjoys dining out and trying new restaurants, I was extremely disappointed by my recent experience at The Galloping Horse. From the moment I walked in, I knew that this would not be a dining experience worth remembering. To start with, it was clear that the food at this establishment was not made fresh. Everything tasted as though it had been cooked from frozen, and lacked the depth of flavor and texture that comes with freshly prepared ingredients. The vegetables were limp and flavorless, the meat was dry and tough, and even the sauces lacked the vibrant, complex flavors that are characteristic of homemade cooking. I was thoroughly disappointed by the quality of the food, which left me feeling unsatisfied and wishing I had gone somewhere else. The chips were particularly bad. They tasted cheap and flavorless, like they had been purchased in bulk from a discount warehouse store. They were clearly not made fresh and lacked the crispy texture and salty flavor that makes them such a beloved side dish. I couldn't help but feel like I was eating something that had been thrown together quickly and without care. To make matters worse, the prices at The Galloping Horse were extremely high, especially given the low quality of the food. I felt like I was being ripped off, paying exorbitant prices for food that tasted like it had been sitting in the freezer for weeks. It's clear that this restaurant is more interested in making a quick profit than in providing its customers with a quality dining experience. Overall, I cannot recommend The Galloping Horse to anyone who is looking for a satisfying meal. The food is clearly not made with care or attention to detail, and the prices are far too high for what you get. Save yourself the disappointment and look for another restaurant that will provide you with a more enjoyable dining experience."

"was an easy choice between all the options available in the carrbridge villa. one of our children came as if he had been there all his life, so we risked and the truth is that it was not a modern and simple bad choice, without great pretensions but very functional. curious and not destabilizing with his free Wi-Fi but without webpage ... That marketing! forgiving things served us right away and attention was correct. they have a menu based on some soups, hot sandwiches, salads, fish and chips and some burgers. all well presented and of high quality. But the best thing is to look at the special menu of the day where we can find more typical dishes like I did with my favorite soup, the skink of cullen, which was simply delicious here. with a lot of fish and less potatoes than on the sites a little less advisable happens on the contrary very advisable to go with the family since they have very spacious tables for this purpose. Sometimes childhood innocence gives us culinary corners like this. which follows the intuition in the same direction fast service and prices a little higher than expected but is the tonic in this apparently so touristic but not disobeyed villa."

"I’ve taken a few days to write this review as didn’t want to write it when angry! Took my daughter , daughter in law and there newborns for breakfast as a treat, we placed our order my daughter ordered a full English asked for her bacon to be well done (crispy I ordered Welsh Rarebit, daughter in law an omelette. Full English came out with anaemic bacon I got a croque monsier omelette was perfect. We called the waitress asked for the bacon to be cooked to how we ordered said mine was wrong. She took mine away left the mushrooms , took the bacon but left the rest of the breakfast on the table, (bacon came back still not crispy so again was sent back and by this time the rest of her breakfast was cold and the scrambled eggs had made the toast soggy beans had a skin on them so breakfast was not eaten. When they came to clear the table my daughter pointed out that the breakfast was ruined was ASKED if she wanted to see the manager, the chef came out (manager? asked what the problem was said he would remove it from the bill which we said was a nice gesture as paying £15.50 for something that could not be eaten was a bit much, I then pointed out that my order was also wrong and that I was left with the mushrooms he replied yes I did hear that but I was on pastry I’ll also remove that…Then off he went! Within minutes he came storming out said he had spoken to the waitress that we got what we ordered( I don’t like to be called a liar! He done a complete 360 told us our breakfast was COMPS to get out not come back as we don’t like their food! I replied I was more than happy to pay for what we had eaten and our coffees again in front of all his customers told it was COMPS to GET OUT!!! So a word of warning if you go there and something is not to how you ordered please be aware they cannot take criticism and this is how you are treated!"

"it is interesting to go for tea or coffee or lunch. it is a small caffe on the street, behind the monument. it is very easy to be here. we park our car to waitrose and go 3 minutes. the choice of food was limited, but all look interesting. top floor always busy, so we went into cellar area, that's okay. the personal was friendly and we have 50% discounted as we were here on Tuesday suppee, salat and quiche were delicious. cafe also offer hand sanitation at every corner and setup table in the cellar with social removal."

"I really wish that I could rate “0” because even giving this place “1” is being generous. I called in to place an order for a family of four on Wednesday Gluten free night. Then even called back to confirm the gluten free as my nanny is celiac and would be deathly ill. Upon my arrival once again said this order is Gluten free correct ?? Then was told I didn’t say gluten free and he’s already made it. He wasn’t going to make another one and then followed by he doesn’t speak very good English. Really because he understood everything okay then. I replied with we called twice and after he argued with me finally he made another piece of fish. The service is terrible, the fish was okay but the fries were not nearly cooked enough and soggy. Beware if your gluten free apparently this place has no idea how terribly sick someone can be when your celiac. Terrible service and won’t be going back."
"While on vacation, we decided to stop by a restaurant that offered cream teas. We arrived at 2:55, thinking we had plenty of time before they closed at 4:00. However, as soon as we approached the restaurant, a waitress informed us that the main dining area was closed but the courtyard seating was available. We decided to sit outside since the weather was nice. At 3:05, we ordered two cream teas and they arrived promptly at 3:12. By 3:25, a server tried to clear our table even though we hadn't finished our meal, which was obvious. At 3:40, another server abruptly placed the bill on our table without us requesting it, and they treated another table of 4 in the same manner. At 3:45, we left through the back entrance as instructed by a staff member who was quite rude. Needless to say, we did not leave a tip."

"I've used Sixteen since they opened and always like to have a coffee, sandwich and a cake or a full breakfast! The staff are very nice and friendly and the cafe has a downstairs area, toilets along with a great outside peaceful patio space. They have a range of different milk options along with really great tasting coffee and excellent vegan flapjacks! I would highly recommend it here."

"This is by far my favourite place to eat and to visit ever! Best food and great selection! There’s so many options and every single one is delicious. The staff are all amazing, unbelievably friendly and just make you feel so welcome. It’s truly a special place, one of a kind. Also a great place to stock up on vegan products for the house!! Couldn’t recommend enough! Hits the spot every time and I’m just completely in love with the place Sad that it’s temporarily shut but hope it does every member of the team well and I can’t wait to go straight back to supporting them and the business as soon as possible!"

"We have been in Arthur's quite a few times and really like it. However we went to the newly opened one today and a couple if things annoyed me. The tea is served as a tea bag in a cup which I don't think is particularly good. I went back up for a second cup as I had a sandwich and needed more tea. I asked was it possible to have it in a mug as opposed to the small cup and was told no as it was a bigger vessel. I really don't know why this was a problem as it was only going to be extra water not exactly going to break the bank. I also purchased 2 chocolate tray baked which were warm and melting."

"I visited the Pier Cafe last year in 2023. At that time, the waitresses would take your orders at the table, and I got friendly with one of the young women who worked there. She was lovely to talk to and I went back there quite a lot for eats and drinks, as the food is actually quite tasty. However this year the atmosphere seemed different. You now have to go to the counter to be served as well, which admittedly i wasn 't too bothered about. In fact it is not even my main complaint.!. But then one day a few weeks back, one of the waitresses became very 'curt ' with me when she saw me looking through the window of the cafe. I was just checking to see if the inside cafe was open or not. She seemed rather annoyed though and told me to go round the other side to be served. But instead i just walked awayl. Authoritarian just doesn 't appeal to me, not since I left school in the 70s anyway. I went back again today a few weeks later and the same person was working there. She saw me but said nothing. However, her expression said it all! I no longer felt welcome there!. So I bought a quick drink, downed it as fast as I could and got out of there. Judging by the reviews, many of which are positive, it seems that the staff who work there either like you, or they don 't. Maybe they just don 't like me: not anymore anyway! Regardless, I no longer felt welcome in the way I once did. I don 't suppose I will find that other lovely waitress I saw who made me feel valued as a customer. In any case, unless there is a complete turnover of staff, I shall not be using the place again. As they have enough customers, it won 't be any skin off their nose. I wish them all the best for the future."
