"We had a fantastic evening before Christmas decided to go back but how I wish we hadn't. The restaurant was relatively quiet as you would expect on a Wednesday evening but we were hidden out the way behind a column it felt as if it was too much hassle for the waitress to come round the corner to serve us in a personal manner. Menus were pushed on to the corner of the table the same with dessert spoons. The waitress comments were also unnecessary not funny, just because we ordered the same main meal she wouldn't let it drop all evening. The food was ok but nothing special, the lemon meringue pie wasn't good the salad had the dressing on it already it was drenched. The toilet downstairs always smells unpleasant which is not great if you're sitting close by. I have to say there is enough competition in the surrounding areas that we won't be returning, sadly another customer lost."

"First time with the Italian cuisine so we had no idea with the menu. Lovely and kind stuff! Stuff explained menu well. I asked for halal options and only chicken and seafood are their halal options. I asked for recommendation and she guided us well. Even explained what is red sauce, white sauce… Even basics~ She was kind and helpful. She suggested her favourite starters as marinated olives, focaccia olive oil, bread. Delicious! I can even go there just for their olives! Our glasses were never emptied because she always poured our water gently~ This was lovely. I had chicken milanese and my sis had linguine vongole. Chicken was delicious but I REALLY had hard time with cutting. Wasn’t juicy enough and hard to cut. Not sure if those knives were enough to cut it but my arm got tired of trying to cut, seriously Pasta was 10/10 no doubts. I had %50 discount coupon from TheFork Festival but they forgot to apply it even though I reminded them very beginning of the night. But they fixed so quickly so no problem at all~ But it is important to being careful and attentive. Definitely visit one more time for their pastas! Restaurant aesthetics so authentic and full of italian culture"

"Not overly impressed. Came here for date night dinner. Admittedly booked at short notice but no table was ready despite the listing saying it was. Starters were fine. Mains were disappointing. My partner ordered the crab pasta. Could barely taste any crab. I ordered the chicken with pesto. It honestly tasted of nothing. And it was very overpriced considering the quality of the food. Overall can't recommend."

"Unfortunately the restaurant was really cold which didn’t aid the ambience in anyway and food could have done with being hotter. The service was ok, verging more on the slow side. Coffees came out luke warm and we finished thinking they had forgotten the desserts but then they turned up. I would go again incase they were having a bad day."

"We had a very mixed experience here, the welcome was good and we were sat at our reserved table promptly however we were not given any menus or any offer of a drink. After collecting our drinks and menus we then ordered the meals, My smoked haddock dish was ok if a bit expensive but the burgers were awful and very overpriced, the staff were willing at times and unresponsive at other times,all in all this was a very average and expensive experience."

"I have often been asked by visitors where to get some good Irish food for which I usually have no recommendation, however The Sussex ticks all the boxes. We opted for the early bird menu (although the burgers looked amazing). I had the heirloom tomato and mozzarella starter which was so fresh and tasty and my boyfriend had a smoked salmon starter which he thoroughly enjoyed. Both accompanied by some traditional brown bread. For main we tried the chicken supreme and the fish of the day which for me was the star of the show; filet of hake on a bed of gnocchi full of flavour I would highly recommend it! "Another lovely visit to La Casa but this time the Leith venue rather than Dalry. My brother and his partner had never been but they absolutely loved it too! Best place for a giant copa de sangría and unusual tapas. Great selection of vegetarian options too!"

"We had a wonderful evening from start to finish. We started with a cocktail which arrived quickly and very much enjoyed. We all ate different things, gnocchi squid and pigeon for starters. Generous portions, piping hot, really good. Then came steak, sole and hake. Again perfect portion size, beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. Not much room for dessert, but the pannacotta was a perfect choice to slip down the sides! Delicious and light. Service was attentive and professional, the ambiance was lovely and given that it was the last service of the season the standards did not slip in any way. We look forward to dining here again next year."

"Very easy to book online with a choice of available dates. La Casa is right out a tram stop so no worries about where to park. Lovely welcome by the staff. Great choices on the menu, we chose the chicken and mushrooms in white wine sauce and it was serves piping hot, just as we like it. We chose the dessert as recommended by the waiter and it was delicious. Will definitely be back. A huge thanks to all the staff on duty."

"Myself and my fiancé went for a Valentines meal together, we have been to the Arbor many times and we always find it amazing, the food is delicious, fresh, homely yet modern, the menu is brilliant, well put together with lots of different wine options to choose from. The staff are attentive and make sure that you get your food and drinks in a timely manner, the price is incredible too, we are always surprised at how small the bill is. One particular member of staff, Aga, is absolutely fantastic, she always ensures that you are truly looked after. Each visit has been 5 star. Highly recommended."

"not the best place I visit in dublin. the waiters are always in a hurry if they have to order something or if they have to remove from the table. I and my friends eat some pommes and they asked us if they could take the pommes two, three times, even if we definitely don't stop them. then, whenever we had to order, they were busy or somewhere else. eating is not great either. in any case a beautiful place to go after dinner to drink a cocktail and party!"

"I have sat this beautiful French restaurant for birthday and enjoyed it. for dinner is a set menu of 2 curses just £17,90, which is amazing for a French restaurant in the center of london. the chicken liver starter had a great aroma profile and was perfectly saucy. the hanghock starter was also delicious and wonderfully cooked. for the net was the black booze dish delicious, not too fat, but not too smooth. the portions are larger. Intimate ambiente with dim hanging lights. the service is also immaculate. I can't wait to go again!"

"We can here on a Saturday evening and we were greeted warmly at the door. The restaurant was very quiet for a Saturday, less than a quarter full. Our drink order was promptly taken but took at least mins to arrive. Starters picked were...the prawn cocktail, no accompanying bread on the side. The mains were very hit and miss. I ordered a vegan burger, the vegan patty wasn’t particularly pleasant, and was served in a basic pre sliced warbuton roll. The triple cooked chips were lovely. One if the family ordered the fish and chips- the fish was most unpleasant, the batter was thick and chewy, and the fish inside dry as a bone. Highly likely this had been recooked. We were offered a free dessert in compensation for this. The chicken burger and beef burger were nice, although nothing special. The desserts were lovely, and so were the staff. Unfortunately they are charging high prices for very hit and miss food, so we will not be returning."

"We love The Ship! Great views in a beautiful environment and the food and drink are great. However, on our last couple of visits we have found the staff a little impatient and even rude at times. The service was sluggish and it can seem that the customers are a bit of an inconvenience to them at times! It does get busy and is very popular, for good reason, but a refresher on customer service wouldn't go amiss!! Food, atmosphere and location were first class although a little disappointed that the Sunday roasts had gone by the evening."

"Fantastic and we would definitely go again. Food was good.... Service was great! Couple of areas just for feedback. Gravy could have done with being a bit thicker (our personal taste) and probably in a gravy boat, rather than already over the roast. Any it did get rather noisy when all the tables were full. I believe there were quieter areas, so would request that area on our return. Other than that. Fantastic..... My family who had not been before were very impressed. (thankyou)!"

"We visited as a table of 6 this past Sunday and all agreed it had to be the best sunday lunch we have all ever had! Everything tasted amazing and there was nothing to fault. The service from the two girls was faultless and also the guy who I imagine was the owner, was so friendly and welcoming. They where very accommodating, especially considering we had a couple of awkward requests. My husband and I are considering a return trip just to enjoy the food again! The pub itself is very quant, with live music as you dine, the perfect place to spend a sunday afternoon."

"The Cove Inn was friendly and welcoming, however, part of the reason for choosing this restaurant was it's wide choice of vegetarian dishes, so we were very disappointed to find both the vegetarian special and the most interesting vegetarian dish on the menu were not available. This meant the usual limited vegetarian choice that we have become used to. The food that we finally ordered was delicious and beautifully cooked and we will no doubt visit again."
