You will not find better cafe service, and there is a happy, easy and relaxed atmosphere even the staff give off the feeling that they are happy to be there. The music is varied and ambient enough to provide an unintrusive background. The cafe itself is stylish, clean, and sectioned carefully to cater to multiple types of customer at once without overlap. "Great, in fact fantastic food. The restaurant had a very casual and relaxing feel to it, which I liked. The decor is a bit cheesy but that's the nature of the beast. Apart from us there were over 20 other patrons, all Chinese. Obviously you feel reassured of food quality if actual Chinese people are frequenting the restaurant and having a good time. If I had to picky, I'd say the main waiter, with the ear ring!, needs to cheer up a little. At least look like you enjoy the job mate...."

"an authentic Indian restaurant. brilliant service, beautiful environment. you were eating delicious. they have no names like vandaloo, korma, jalfrezi on their menu, because there is no grasp like vindaloo, korma, zalfrzi in Indian food for real. they have food names which would have appeared in the menu if they ever visit a restaurant in india. I recommend everyone to have a party or meet in this restaurant. I'm sure they would thank me for the recommendation."

"it has another wonderful meal with the family. we all selected from the fixed price menu and chose the 3 courses. it had changed since our visit, but equally pleasant. the restaurant was quite busy, although it was a Thursday night. the personal was, as always, very pleasant and attentive. great night outside. we seem to be a regular visitor with different groups of friends and family and all enjoy the eating and ambiente."

"Had a 90th celebration meal at Indian Essence early this month. From the moment we entered having drinks and nibbles an hour earlier than usual possible on a very rainy Saturday afternoon, the excellence, professionalism and warmth of service was clear to see. As much as the excellent service, my Dad was treated like a King and the portion sizes matched the magnanimous nature of the staff. Rabbit was a surprising revelation as one starter, chicken cooked several ways different to many other Indian restaurants starter selections offered was very good. The choice of mains were varied and sauces they were cooked in a sign of a top notch restaurant at the top of their game. By the time we reached desserts (washed down by more than one bottle of Chablis), the restaurant was filling up fast and buzzing for a normal October evening. After a pandemic and associated lack of celebrations for all, this was a choice I was more than happy to have made for such a special occasion. We will definitely be back and would recommend it to others for anything from normal meals to large celebrations. 5 star occasion...well deserved."
