"nice loading! the staff is very friendly and it has a good choice of sweets to have with coffee. I didn't cost a hearty spear, so I can't comment on it. prices are similar to other caffes, a little expensive. the coffee was tasty and it came with a cinnamon pencil I really liked. the mandelkuchen was very tasty, but the sweet cream roll was a little too stiff (probably from the refrigerator.) the shop is very small, so it might not be possible to get a table. we had luck getting one and sitting outside and it was very nice. I wish they could have seen the prices for the baked. I also wish they had more units of each. overall I had a good time and would go back."

"On Friday 17th June, I came to the afternoon tea with friends. We arrived on time, but waited for 10 minutes to sit, as the waiter had already dealt with someone. There seemed to be personnel everywhere, but not much done or people were seen (there were two young guys looking for a lighter one in the same place?! We finally sat and gave menus. 10 minutes later, someone came to take our drinks order, the same guy who sat us. He must have been the only one who actually works. He must have forgotten the drinks, not surprisingly the only one that works because we had to follow the order 10 minutes later. The same Chap came short with our drinks and was very apologetic. The Chap who saw us was nice, it was the service speed of all the others who did not seem to help him what was poor. Overall, the food was nice, the service, not so."

"We do not visit twice a restaurant that often, especially if there are more opportunities to go on site. But we really enjoyed Willow! Nice place, changing menus every day, fresh and tasteful salad that comes with most items on the menu, friendly staff, great tasting food and finally a place that does not need to use big bags salt to taste their food well. Even the soup was not excessively salted, but very tasty! And prices are very reasonable. Couldn't recommend it anymore. Only an obvious disadvantage: not completely vegan. What they can do easily, considering the elements on the menu."

"This was a nice pub to visit with my family on a day out in Carlisle, positioned closely to the station so we did not have to leave too long before our scheduled journey. I ordered 3 family drinks at the bar, though one of us had to change their choice because the drink was out of stock sadly. My double absolute vodka with a Pepsi mixer was brilliant however, like the seating afront a curtain and the marvellous cylinder lights overhead! I went on to have a Chicken Jalfrezi curry deal for tea that is truly the full package, featuring two poppadoms, rice, naan bread and a sauce! A great Pepsi Max Cherry drink accompanied my meal and the service was quite good, delivered to my table where cleanliness was proper like the rest of the pub and the floor has an interesting pattern."

"For those working in education, summer is always a time of change and goodbyes and this year was no exception. After a meal at Esteban earlier in the week I found myself out again with colleagues to say goodbye to God (my work colleague not the omnipresent deity, though they have been mistaken in the past). So, on an exceptionally warm July evening, I entered Il Forno on Duke Street along with God and ten other disciples. Service from the off was very good and, in the comfort of the waiting area, we were offered antipasti nibbles and a Morretti beer whilst we waited for our full complement to arrive. “So, on an exceptionally warm July evening, I entered Il Forno on Duke Street along with God and ten other disciples” Some short time later we were escorted by our waiter, Salvatore (more of him later), into a large bustling dining room. We were seated along the window on a slightly cramped banquette, though this was our own fault, not the restaurant. I always find it funny how groups arra"

"Wow wow wow. I have coeliac disease, so when going out for dinner my choices are usually very limited. The “normal” menu has all the choices on. I didn’t have to be treated differently (which was fabulous). The menu has the green gluten free sign next to what is available. The menu is covered in green. Starters, mains AND PUDDINGS!!!!!!!. Not just fruit salad and ice cream. Sponge pudding, caramel pudding and more ………on the normal menu. Not only was the choice brilliant, the food was fab too. Really good size portions and at a good price. We had two lovely servers, Natalie and I’m sorry I never caught the other ladies name, that were really lovely and helpful. Overall a wonderful experience. For any fellow coeliacs out there this place is a must. Thank you so much for a lovely evening. We will definitely return."

"two for preopera dinner at 18 o'clock, eat a la carte. we ordered a bottle of the house white, price 35, but were calculated 46 for another bottle of wine. we were also charged 11,50 for a gin and tonic we never ordered. since we hurry to be in time for the opera (and at least initially service) had been slow, I discovered these false accuses only if I inspected the bill more cautious to house i have kept the bill! our waiter, although he tried his best, was the agency temp, and was not at all familiar with the menu that caused all kinds of confusion at the beginning. my main was a cesar salad consisting of half an salate (no, the leaves were not separated, washed individually and sown!). this was knocked on a plate, with some indifferent dressing on it blown by a bottle (actually not a freshly produced emulsion dressing). there were no crossers, but a few ghastly baguette melbas with melted cheddar (no, not parmesan) that had hurled from them, and not a hauch of sardelle, but something called bacon dusting. Overall, one would probably come better in a school canteen, and would not be happy with 12 for eating half an salad. when asien de cuba was housed there, this place was special. what they have at their place is particularly terrible."

"My friend and I spent the afternoon in St Agnes and had a reservation for 7 o'clock at the Fitty Pysk. However, we started to feel hungry well before then so asked if we could bring our booking forward to 6 o'clock. Not a problem, which made us very happy. The restaurant is approached by some fairly steep stairs but once at the top you realise that this provides a brilliant view of the bay. Inside, we were given uninterrupted views of a beautiful evening sunset from our table. It was difficult to choose from the tempting menu but eventually we both opted for the rum and ginger slow roasted pork belly, with seasonal vegetables. It's no exaggeration to say that it was divine, crispy crackling, melting fat and succulent meat. A very well-presented dish, very tasty; my only criticism would be that the vegetables were a little al dente for my personal taste but the pork was definitely the star of the show. Amazingly, we both decided on a pudding- this was reckless abandon as we were quite full and both on diets! Delicious frangipane tart for me and a chocolate pud for my friend. It was a bridge too far but had to be done, washed down with a half pint of delicious still cider brewed locally. The whole experience, the setting, ambience, service and food was a lovely end to my holiday and I hope to revisit next time I'm in Cornwall visiting my friend and seriously investigating the pub side of the Driftwood Spars, particularly the local cider."

""I discovered a hidden gem in Minehead that caters well to those with gluten intolerance. The little independent café offers a great variety of breakfast and lunch options. The interior is very unique and charming, which I really enjoyed. I just wish I had known how to make a reservation at the wellness center. I will definitely return on my next trip to Minehead!""

"If this review were based solely on our initial server, it would have been a one-star rating. We have visited Cafe Rouge before and always enjoyed it, so when we saw they were offering Afternoon Tea, it seemed like the perfect choice when we were unsure of what to order. We were greeted and seated, but things quickly went downhill. We requested two croque champignons instead of one croque monsieur and one croque champion, due to one of us being vegetarian. After some confusion, our order was finally taken, but then we waited for a long time with no sign of our food. Despite other tables receiving their orders after us, we were told there had been a mistake and our order had not been placed in the kitchen. The server was not apologetic until the manager intervened. The manager was very apologetic and made sure we were taken care of, even offering us drinks as an apology. Finally, when our Afternoon Tea arrived, it was delicious. The scones were fresh, the cakes were beautiful, and the croque champignon was excellent. The Prosecco was also very good. While the manager’s efforts saved the day, I cannot say that the overall visit was Very Good or Excellent due to the rocky start."

"Afternoon tea Good points: The food was fresh and of good quality, they had listened and followed our requirements. The food was tasty and the taste combinations good. The quantity of food was also very good. Downside: Wish we could have eaten in the garden area or the terrace, when asked we got told this wasn’t possible. But couldn’t see a reason why this wasn’t possible. Ag the very least an area set for tea parties would have been more desirable and we would have returned if the garden was an option. Cutlery, tea cups and tea pot were all very low quality and that you would expect at an old persons home or hospital. No offer of what type of tea we would like either. The elderflower drink tasted like sparkling water with a touch of elderflower cordial this could be improved. Staff weren’t ready for our arrival and stated “sorry we’ve been busy” but half the restaurant was full. The atmosphere was lacking. No offer of anything else. Lacking some finishing touches and details but was ok."

"I visited here with my ancient and creaky old mother, and I was impressed to see that they remembered her from her previous visits. We had parked on the main road opposite the cafe, which has reasonable access for those with limited mobility. There is a chalkboard for the food that day; there was a good selection (ploughmans, meze with falafel, couscous salad etc. . Mains are about £7.50, soup is about £4 and there are a couple of lighter bites. We had the leek flan, and the meze. Both were fresh, very tasty and well presented. There's a choice of drinks including homemade cordials. With very friendly staff, delicious food and priced right, what's not to like. I'm not a vegetarian but I'll definitely be back, and so will my ancient creaky old mother."

"I received a recommendation from a shopkeeper in Hartington that instead of paying for parking at the NP carpark, I could enjoy tea and cakes at the tearoom and park for free. Sure enough, there was a sign that said "spend a penny with me and park for free"! I bought a takeaway cup of tea for my thermos and headed off along the Manifold Trail, knowing I was welcome to park for as long as I liked. After three hours of walking, I treated myself to a delicious slice of Banana and Pistachio cake and a hot chocolate (from a machine, but still good). There was also a small gift shop with postcards and local crafts to browse through. The service was friendly, and I found it to be a great deal to be able to park for free in exchange for a drink and snack that I would have bought anyway. Note: Parking is free with purchase from the tearoom."

"After a bad santa experience up in north Devon we were recommend to come to kings while visiting family. We rang up last minute to see if we could do a breakfast with santa and they were fabulous at fitting us in. Santa, Jingle the elf and Happy feet the penguin were great and spent lots of time with our boy's talking and getting to know them. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was very attentive. Fantastic experience and we will be back next year!"

"I've been coming to the Harrow for 30 years and it sets the benchmark for every other pub I try. It's a beautiful building with a big table at which the locals always invite you to join them and large fireplace taking up most of the main room. The garden is great too, or you can sit out the front of the pub. The landladies run the pub perfectly, one front of house and the other in the kitchen, where food is cooked in/on an Aga. It's a limited menu but delicious and most of it served with a big slab of warm bread. Beer is local and comes straight from the barrel. A warning it's cash only, so come prepared."

"Had a trip up this way today with my daughter, and we stopped off here for a light lunch.First impressions were good a clean, fresh and bright little café that has about 8 tables with chairs. They offer a selection of hot and cold filled rolls, baked potatoes, soup, breakfasts, toasties, coffee, cakes etc. I noticed that they also had homemade tablet and macaroons for sale.My daughter who is dairy intolerant opted for a baked potato with beans and ham while I quite fancied a hot mince roll.Service was very friendly, polite, efficient and a valid point to add is that we both felt welcomed. No complaints with the food, everything was perfect.A very busy cafe, particularly with locals I would say, and if I were to be picky we did feel a little out of place as we were the youngest customers!Would keep the place in mind though for future visits if ever out this way again."

"Ayubowan! We visited this restaurant last Friday and were pleasantly surprised to find an authentic Sri Lankan restaurant in Glossop! As someone who is part Sri Lankan and has tried many dishes in Sri Lanka, I highly recommend this restaurant. We enjoyed appetizers, main dishes, cocktails, and desserts for a reasonable price. The decor and ambiance are lovely and truly reminiscent of Sri Lanka. The service was good and the food was delicious. We are excited to come back here in the future! Thank you to Madusha and the team. Bohoma isouti!"

"Sadly, they weren’t open on Sundays when we visited Dartmouth, but were so pleased that we visited on two other days. My husband visited first, chose a cake, which was delicious, and was given another as they still had an assortment left over and it was heading for closing time. We headed there for breakfast the day we were leaving Dartmouth; lovely welcome, good choice of pastries, and when we next visit Dartmouth we’ll definitely head their way. For anyone unsure where to find them, they are close to the market."
