"I'm sorry I didn't take any photos, I meant to and I forgot! this was a lovely, relaxed and friendly atmosphere I would liken it to sitting in a large living room with a bar at the end! the staff were friendly and welcoming, I visited with my partner, on Thursday 28th of September. We had an evening meal, I booked the table for 6pm, we both had the tempura prawn starter, which was presented very nicely with drizzled sauce over the plate, we had five large prawns. For our mains we both had the Chicken Supreme, with a lovely mustard mash, and green beans and carrots the Chicken was cooked properly, and not dry! the sauce was a creamy stilton sauce, which was lovely, but you don't get much on the plate, so I asked for and paid £1.50 for. We both felt our meals were worth what we paid, as the quality was good, the only slightly negative thing I have to say is we would have liked a bit more vege on the side. We would both definitely go back, they also have live music nights it's usually rock/indie music, which interests both myself and my partner."

"Ate here Wednesday with friends for a university reunion. Food was very good and small but interesting wine list. Excellent service. Place is very small and in centre of town. You need to book and that really means ringing. We were asked to preorder food, but that not a problem. Most of the dishes were served on clay pots, on a plate with serviette. It made them quite difficult to eat. Several of us had cassoulet very generous but you had to take meat out of the pot to cut it up. That meant removing the serviettes from under a very hot dish tricky! Note there is no service charge on the bill but they ask for tips in cash. Vegetarian options: Don't think there were any it's french. Kid friendliness: Not really suitable"

"booked a room for date night on the 14th april. room, 3-course menu, bottle prosecco for a bottle red, without qualifications exchanged) and breakfast next morning all for £140. I can't recommend that. the room of the kings was great, and eating was incredible. sharing the meat plate to begin, each product was amazing, especially the chicken liver parfait. main was the best burger I ever had, and my wife had filet steak that she said was cooked to perfection. dessert was just as good, although we were incredibly full of this point! all staff were friendly and helpful, without being overlaid or intrusive. we both loved each second and can't wait to come back. thanks to brand and team."

"The most authentic Italian experience you can find outside of Italy. Da Noi is possibly the most delicious Italian food I have ever had in the UK since I moved here back in 2009. This is a place where the owners run the whole business and everything they do is with pride, passion and love just like high quality family run restaurants in Italy. Now, let's get to the food and drinks! I started off with a gigantic home made light and thin pasta raviolo filled with ricotta cheese and an egg yolk that explodes out when cut in half finished with a porcini mushrooms sauce and truffle oil. The aroma of the porcini and truffle mixed wonderfully with the creaminess of the yolk and the delicious pasta filling. Be aware, you can even order this as a MAIN!!! Together with my starter I ordered a white floral wine from Piemonte called Baratuciat... one word: divine. As a main, I ordered the venison cooked medium rare juicy and tender as it should be, together with a light almond sauce and dauphinoise. Once again, I followed the instructions and gone with the pairing choice, a fruity Barbaresco that enhanced all the flavours on the plate. Amazing. Of course, I had to try a dessert too, so I went for the super traditional Piemontese pudding called Bunet a sort of creme caramel hyped up with coca and amaretti biscuits. Again, hats off. My friend had the same dishes except for the main where he opted for the incredibly succulent and aromatic pheasant. At the end, while sipping an espresso in truly Italian fashion, we had the pleasure to spend some time with owners Valentina, who is the genius mastermind behind the food menu, and Fabrizio, who is incredibly charming and knowledgeable when choosing the wines. Grazie ragazzi, we are very jealous Chester got you! Fil Andrea Vegetarian options: One option in the starters and two options in the mains. It goes without saying these aren't after thoughts vegetarian options :"

"We were lucky enough to experience the taster menu twice last year, a wonderful experience which has stayed in our memory. This year we visited Wheelers with a couple of friends for lunch, unfortunately due to timings we were unable to book for the taster menu in the evening. The restaurant was very busy, but we had booked well in advance for our table of 4. Service initially was a little rushed, but still friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food, once again, was sensational, everything from crab cakes which apparently have been on the menu for 25 years), cod, served with gazpacho, lobster lasagne, sea trout, perfectly cooked scallops, Oriental prawn and scallop dumplings, beautiful fresh Whitstable native oysters and the list goes on... As if this wasn't enough, a myriad of delights on the deli counter on the way out. We could never tire of this place, or the innovative new dishes or even the old faithfuls). Just wish we were closer to Whitstable! One not to miss."

"6 Dec 2019 Looked good from the outside. Upon asking for a menu the male at the order point said 'there will be one on the table '. Alas, only available seats were upstairs by the one toilet. This 'room ' was dirty, in need of decoration and there was a toilet roll on one of the tables. No menu available so we 'cadged ' one from another visitor. The tables still had previous visitors plates and rubbish on the tables. The lady that took the order was friendly enough (2 aussie sausage rolls, 1 'mahoosive ' chorizo sausage roll, tea, cappachino and a glass of red wine). The order took 20 minutes to arrive, the drinks another 5 minutes. The 'mahoosive ' s/r wasn 't what I would call 'massive '. The glass of red was £5 a bit pricey for a small glass of house wine. Very dissapointed and wished we 'd had something at the Christmas market instead."
"I used to go in here for lunch sometimes, more than 10 years ago. This time we were going to a concert at the Barbican and my first thought was to book us into one of the restaurants there. But they had no space and I’m SO GLAD because it forced me to remember Vecchio Parioli and we had the most lovely time in there. Among the four of us we had cod, pasta and veal. All reported as delicious! Service was fast and friendly and the atmosphere is very perfectly family-restaurant. It’s unashamedly old-school, calm, and pleasant. We also had a lovely bottle of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo which went down very well. We made it to our concert ok but on a future occasion I will allow more time so I can enjoy this great restaurant thoroughly."

"I wish I could give this restaurant 0/5. We entered the hotel and had to find our way to the restaurant as there was no one there to greet us when we arrived and the total lack of staff was shocking for such a highly regarded place. We were stood at the reception for 15 minutes before we decided to walk around and find it for ourselves. It was 30 degree heat and when we asked to sit outside for our lunch meal we were told we weren’t allowed (even though there were tables free and there were many other people eating afternoon tea outside) so we ended up being the only table in a silent dining room which made us feel extremely awkward and uncomfortable. There was also no drinks menu what restaurant doesn’t have a drinks menu? And when we asked the waitress which drinks were available she said she didn’t know. This was not the young waitress’ fault in all honesty, she was probably overwhelmed as she seemed to be running around on her own looking after all the tables so god knows where all the other staff were. We left immediately. Would absolutely not recommend to anyone and will never been returning."

"I attended the Halloween Tales event on Saturday, October 28th and had a great time. However, I felt that the stories presented by the Woolly Tellers could have been more Halloween-themed. The tales were mostly focused on Nottingham, and I would have preferred to hear more about the history and myths of Halloween from different cultures around the world. Despite this, it was still a fantastic evening, and the food was decent as well. The service was good for dining in."

"I moved in august 1998 to north of Ireland, but before I moved, I read an article about the bay tree in a timeline and how it was a jewel in north of Ireland 's krone, so that I had to go around there, and it became my whole time place to eat! breakfast and lunch was always a tasty bite for the 10 years that I lived there as a bayin! when visiting in Northern Ireland I have to go to place and place and must buy take away cinnamon scones to return to england!"

"Absolutely outstanding and a truly unique experience! We were fortunate to be among the first to sample Ryan and Liam's new tasting menu this afternoon, and every dish was nothing short of exquisite. The idea of going on a culinary journey took on an entirely new meaning. The wine pairings were first-class, and the service was the best we've ever encountered—an incredibly friendly and approachable team that exuded passion. If you're a foodie, do yourself a favor and go and be amazed!"

"Incredible value for money and the food was very tasty too. Not the most appealing to look at from the outside but the inside is very cosy and nicely decorated. Polite waiting staff and very prompt service. Visit their website for special offers we were torn between 3 course lunch for £9.95 and a special Groupon offer available at the time, but either way you won't be disappointed. Was very quiet during the day and the lunch menu time, could have done with a bit of atmosphere but made for very comfortable dining. Will definitely return when in Greenock again!"

"I came here with my meat eating family, despite their initial reservations that I would have chosen some hippy vegan place and all were pleasantly surprised. Formerly known as The Polish Café, there are still a number of Polish specialties particularly the stuffed cabbage leaves which went down very well. The staff were absolutely delightful, especially the woman (whose name I did not get) who was wonderful, really polite and friendly. It 's obviously been recently renovated and the artwork and furnishings really make it a beautiful place. I would definitely recommend a visit. My only issue was that, despite offering vegan starters and mains, there were no vegan deserts but they do provide soya milk for a coffee/tea."

"I discovered this place about 6 months ago. Decided to nip in and try one of their specials, which appear on the wall each day (I check them out via Instagram before I go down and visit). This is how to eat healthy! The combination of flavours and the mix of healthy ingredients makes this not only one of the healthiest lunches around but the tastiest. I would quite happily pay a few pound more for the portion size. If I lived a bit closer, I'd visit this little gem every day for lunch. For now though, it remains as a treat. Highly recommend this place."

"Very nice place to stay. Food was excellent, room was clean and the staff were helpful. Evening meal was always hot, breakfast was cooked to perfection, plus the lady that cooked was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Hotel is situated roughly ten minute drive to Droitwich and a twenty minute drive to Worcester, ideal place to go visit these places from, looking forward to a return visit in the new year."

"Very happy to post a review for the Tally Ho. Unfortunately for us, having moved to the area 4 years ago, this was the first time we visited the Tally Ho, but it certainly will not be our last. We loved the ambiance of the pub itself, a place to go for either a drink with friends or a delicious meal. The food was superb, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. If you live in the area or are visiting and haven't been to the Tally Ho you should try it, you will not be disappointed. It will not be long before we return."

The place was freezing freezing it was warmer outside than inside. Female staff member was lovely as ever"

"idyllic location, not too far from the beaten, but enough to be peaceful and relaxing. well ordered, clean, friendly and helpful teamworkers combine to make a very happy experience. our first visit so only a fast coffee and cake, but the coffee was excellent with a perfect cream and only the right starch. kuchen? very good and a reasonable size for the price. personally I would have the lemon meringue pipe a hauch less sweet and more. the lemon smoke the woman tasted more lemony, but also so it was excellent. we're coming back."

"We were so impressed with the warm welcome, excellent menu and first class service that as soon as our starters arrived we asked our server to book us in again for the following night. The menu covers both their daytime bistro type offering with an a la carte selection which, while relatively small (around five choices for each course) made us wish we were staying longer so we could try everything. Starters were imaginative but the key was the quality of sauces with the mains. Good quality duck, chicken lamb etc had their taste well enhanced by sauces that nearly had us licking the plate. Portion size too was not neglected and overall it offered astounding value, with the mains typically around £20 which included a generous serving of fresh vegetables. Staff were just lovely and coped well with the external failure of their card machine and we enjoyed a chat with the chef at the end of the evening. Unfortunately Alnwick is a bit far from home for us to pop down but if we're in that area again we'll certainly be back."
