"This updated pub features a fantastic atmosphere, complete with whimsical decor and a modern steampunk interior. Its central location is ideal, especially since there's a lovely park nearby that can be viewed from inside. The bartenders are exceptionally friendly, helpful, and creative. I enjoyed an incredible strawberry drink that was made in a tall glass with ten different liqueurs—it took about ten minutes to prepare, but it was absolutely worth the wait. The drink was delicious and evoked the taste of summer, even in the midst of foggy Scotland. This charming spot attracts both locals and tourists without being overly gimmicky. It’s the perfect place to relax and hang out with good friends while enjoying great drinks. I really wish there was something like this in Toronto, and I’d love to replicate it!"

"Really disappointing. A mix up.with th1e reservation meant we were in a cold, unheated upstairs atea. Kids ordered pizzas, but turned out no pizzas available. They ordered burgers instead. Unfortunately, these were not fully cooked. After pointing this out to a team member, it was fully 10 minutes before they came by to see if we would like them replaced, or provide the side vegetables which were ordered but had never arrived. I couldn't fault our waitress who was clearly new and inexperienced, but very helpful and doing her best to help. She clearly had no support from senior figures. Ultimately, I had to argue with the senior staff member, who was reluctant to give any discount at all on the full price of the meal, despite serving kids raw burgers. The rest of the food was mediocre at best."

"Really lovely place with great food. I would say the portions are generous, and you will probably make a pig of yourself, but it's worth it as the food is delicious. The drinks menu is good, and you can get a cocktail, beer, or milkshake to go with your food. Service was quick, and the ladies' serving were so nice and friendly. It's not a huge place, so you must book otherwise you may be disappointed (like we were on our visit the year before as we couldn't get in). I would definitely recommend visiting."

"Have been going to Mathews Yard a few times this month dong some research. This was exclusively a Vegan cafe, but since early May 2023, they are are serving non-Vegan as well. The food have been and coffee have been excellent coffee. During the week it is members only, but you get 20% off food and drink. The staff have been great, which has helped been a disabled person"

"It is so great to have this classic pub but vegan! Everything we hade were delicious. We tried the Sunday roast (on Sunday) and the fish and chips and hot sauce cauliflower (on Friday). Notice every day they have a different menu (depends on the day). They have this great variety of beers, and the atmosphere is super fun. Can't recommend enough."

"we visited here twice in a week, so this is a good sign. Eat is nice, obviously freshly cooked and the portion sizes are decent. the waffels are fluffy and light, made perfect. the huh is quite decent and the Mac cheese is super delicious (I tried the classic and the loaded both recommend). there is an extensive beverage menu that is all reasonable prices. I don't like her drinking either. the staff was friendly and attentive, there were no problems. 4 stars because I saw a waitress dropping a knife on the floor, and then it back into the drawer. visit in January 2020: eating is still decent, since my first review and the Mac cheese is still quite good. on a lively Saturday night the fries were soggy and under, but the rest of our meal was good. the chicken pliers are always a good option. the service was relatiw slow for a Saturday night, but not so much that it distracts from the overall experience. £164 for 5 of us have a few options from the menu plus 2 3 cocktails / pints not bad!"

As for the menu, we opted for the classic choice of burgers and chips, limiting our exploration of the extensive offerings. Nonetheless, I can confidently say that the burger I had was delicious. The patty was well-cooked and flavorful, and the toppings complemented it perfectly. It was evident that Dexter Burguer takes pride in using quality ingredients to craft their burgers. The only minor disappointment came from the chips, which were slightly oversalted for my taste. However, it didn't overshadow the overall positive experience, and it's worth noting that taste preferences can vary from person to person. What stood out beyond the food was the inviting atmosphere. "I visited this restaurant on 20/04 and the staff were incredibly attentive throughout our entire visit. The food is exceptional and I highly recommend this place. The two ladies who served us were lovely and made my partner's birthday feel very special. "I ate here a afternoon last month, while I stayed in london on the novotel on canary wharf. I had seen this place that was introduced on a TV program. it looked like to be in a very interesting environment and I like this style. of space. as I said that I was on canary wharf and it was actually a very simple trip with two busses to just a few hundred meters from the entrance to the trinity buoy wharf where the diner is located. this whole area is another where there is a large amount of development with the construction of apartment blocks. the wharf himself has seen the development with several units that are now working as small companies. the other feature worth mentioning is the excellent view from the wharf of the o2 arena opposite and the huge cloud scratches of canary wharf in the middle distance. so diner itself and it is really a great place to eat. I don't know if it's an original or a reconstruction, but it's an American diner of 60 years that they see in films and photos of this epoche. the menu is quite extensive and is naturally centered around the ubiquitous burger, but there are many other possibilities, including salads for the healthy food! there are also breakfast options. a burger was just good for me and I chose one with cheese and speck along with the usual other circumcisions and fillings. a very large part of the delicious pommes accompanied it. to complete the true American style, I had a beautiful milkshake with it. the food came in good time and it was a pleasure to eat while the look at the view. they can even see the cable car ride that passes very close over the themses. I finished with a beautiful cappuccino and the whole bill I thought was very reasonable. I can highly recommend this place if they like this style of restaurant and I really hope to go back a day."

"Was looking forward to trying here as had previously had uber eats and was really pleased, Unfortunately it was a bit basic, took mum who's 82 and really didn't suit her, can of wine offered to be served in a stainless steel cup may be trendy, but really not ideal for her The burger was a bit dry and not particularly tasty, fries were good. Service was bright and cheerful, the young lady that served us was very helpful, so top marks there. Definitely a young person place, music was quite loud, definitely and a step up from Macdonalds."

"This restaurant is absolutely amazing! The food is delicious, especially the bacon cheeseburger. It is simple yet so incredible, with the bacon pressed to cover the entire burger and the crispy edges of the smashed burger patties. It's the best burger I've had in a long time. The buffalo fries were also incredible, and the hash browns were crispy but not greasy. The chili fries were loaded and could be a meal on their own. The milkshakes and cocktails were awesome. The staff were really friendly, attentive, and even gave us a great tip on where to go next after our meal. The food was so good I didn't even have a chance to take any photos. I would love to come back!"

"As an unapologetic fan of burgers the dirty cheese burger ticked off the list for deliciousness. The beef was tender, the cheese was generous and the bun was fresh. The Korean wings were sticky and sweet (not particularly my fave because I’m more of a heat person but my friends who isn’t, enjoyed it so yeah). The fries were really good The service was good and the waiter was quite attentive and polite Despite being the only one, she manned our table alongside others with a warm smile Not really a fan of the interior decor and construct, kinda looks like a warehouse to me. It was a bit echoey and just amplified other peoples’ voices and laughters (which was a wee bit annoying for me) but if you’re able to overlook that, then you’ll really find everything else quite pleasing! Maybe I’ll just do a take out next time"

"after my recent disappointment, fried chicken and wagging at another exit, I was recommended this point by a friend. Of course I went for the fried chicken and wad with maple syrup. the part was great, which was a pleasant surprise. the fried chicken was excellent slightly crispy coating with juicy juicy meat. I felt that the aromen were pretty light, which would have been more powerful. however, this compliment the fluffy still crispy waffel, which had a hauch of sweet, it was not overwhelmed and was nicely supplemented by the maple syrup; that had a smokey taste. I ordered a pineapple juice that was delicious, but as usual, excessive with ice. the gentleman was nice and helpful; decor and layout of the equipment in the ground floor was nice and clean, but a little dark for my pleasure. I would probably return that the wagging will measure their resistance, but if there were any other places that would recommend it, let them know me! 8/10."
