"I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere at the new Absurd Bird restaurant. The open booth seating is perfect for couples, while larger tables cater to groups and couples."

"This updated pub features a fantastic atmosphere, complete with whimsical decor and a modern steampunk interior. Its central location is ideal, especially since there's a lovely park nearby that can be viewed from inside. The bartenders are exceptionally friendly, helpful, and creative. I enjoyed an incredible strawberry drink that was made in a tall glass with ten different liqueurs—it took about ten minutes to prepare, but it was absolutely worth the wait. The drink was delicious and evoked the taste of summer, even in the midst of foggy Scotland. This charming spot attracts both locals and tourists without being overly gimmicky. It’s the perfect place to relax and hang out with good friends while enjoying great drinks. I really wish there was something like this in Toronto, and I’d love to replicate it!"

"Great looking place, right by the river. Perfect setting my for a drink food in the sun! HOWEVER this place really lets Stratford down! The bar staff were rude and not interested in their customers needs, on requesting to move inside the barman just told us to wait for our food and then they’d deal with it, and that it was all service only! When the food arrived, it was warm/cold. We waited 50 minutes for the food, one main one side! Absolute JOKE!! The toilets were disgusting with the no working soap dispenser in the mens, with no soap at all in the ladies! The fact that they can’t even be bothered to uphold basic personal hygiene standards by ensuring soap is in the toilets is absolutely unacceptable! This is a great shame as this place has lots of potential, therefore the only plus point is the location! We will not be returning and will be going elsewhere when in Stratford! We will be going to The Pen Parchment next time! We would have bought these issues up at the time, however we were on a tight schedule. Needless to say we were still late and left very annoyed disappointed! Serious changes need to be made to make this place a success! Other people in the vicinity of our table had issues and were asking for refunds etc!"

"There's plenty of parking available, and it's conveniently located not too far from West Kirby beach, making it a nice spot for a stroll afterward. The highlight of our visit was definitely the staff, especially one young woman with striking green and black hair who was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Despite the busy atmosphere, she handled everything with ease and made our experience even better. I just wish I had caught her name because she truly was fantastic! Vegetarian options: There are plenty of choices for vegetarians. Parking: Ample parking available close to the entrance. Kid-friendliness: Many families were there, and it appeared there were lots of options for children to eat and enjoy."

"This place was so phenomenal! I got my outdoor dining fix. It's disturbing the number of times I think about their macaroni and cheese ball appetizer. By far the best appetizer, and it says it's a homemade recipe, I believe them! I've never had that macaroni and cheese flavor, so good. Deep fried, it just makes sense, and it's probably one of the best things on the menu. Everything is great about this. You can feed your whole family and get a great dining experience, and it feels like it'll cost you an arm and a leg, but their prices are so reasonable you can bring your whole family and have dessert!"

"A lovely, cosy pub with a great atmosphere—rugby on the screens (which we liked) and a welcoming side room for dogs. The menu had a good selection, and we opted for the roast. It was a nice touch that all the trimmings, including cauliflower cheese, were included and available for extra helpings. However, while the service were great, the quality of the food itself was underwhelming. The roast beef in particular wasn’t the best portion was quite small also quality not great, which let the meal down overall. Pleasant experience, but not enough to make me want to return."

"I’ve been gluten free for the last 4-5 years, The gluten free options here are the best I’ve seen, this is only topped by the quality of the food. Many years ago I had a haddock and chips which tasted so creamy and the fish was so white it was amazing, 30 years on I’d never tasted or seen haddock like it, I began to believe it must have been something I remembered wrongly as nothing I’d tried since met this quality, then I visited “the fisherman’s kitchen” last week, I ordered the haddock and chips (gf by default) I sat in my car and started to eat the fish and wow! It took me back 30 years and it wasn’t a figment of my imagination this white creamy haddock does really exist, it was the nicest tasting and looking fish I’ve had in all these years and amazingly it was gluten free as well, I’ve been back again since and will go every week that I’m working down this way, I’m already looking forward to next weeks visit, the staff are very friendly and nice as well so all in all I have to give a 10 out of 10 review for this great place."

"eating was good and service was reasonable. I'd go back. I like that it is dog friendly and the quirky shining decoration is a beautiful note. the loos are delightful, with train lengths and other railway paraphrases. definitiw think they should take the goat cheese out of the cheesecake, cake was great, but goat cheese is really a bit purchased taste and pamper it a little in my mind. vegan burger recommend, look better with a small salat garnish on the side. all in all a pleasant lunch. slightly expensive, but in agreement with the competition in locality, so fair enough, I assume. I hope they accept my feedback. we will return."

"We stopped here for a super late lunch last week. The service from both waiters was attentive and helpful. The old Motown soul playlist made for great atmosphere. We split a classic toastie with bacon and fries, which was plenty of food for the two of us. I recommend adding the bacon to the toastie, it was have been a bit sweet without the salty bacon. I loved the crinkle fries and the seasoning they used on them. Great place, highly recommended."

"we visited here twice in a week, so this is a good sign. Eat is nice, obviously freshly cooked and the portion sizes are decent. the waffels are fluffy and light, made perfect. the huh is quite decent and the Mac cheese is super delicious (I tried the classic and the loaded both recommend). there is an extensive beverage menu that is all reasonable prices. I don't like her drinking either. the staff was friendly and attentive, there were no problems. 4 stars because I saw a waitress dropping a knife on the floor, and then it back into the drawer. visit in January 2020: eating is still decent, since my first review and the Mac cheese is still quite good. on a lively Saturday night the fries were soggy and under, but the rest of our meal was good. the chicken pliers are always a good option. the service was relatiw slow for a Saturday night, but not so much that it distracts from the overall experience. £164 for 5 of us have a few options from the menu plus 2 3 cocktails / pints not bad!"

"Have been going to Mathews Yard a few times this month dong some research. This was exclusively a Vegan cafe, but since early May 2023, they are are serving non-Vegan as well. The food have been and coffee have been excellent coffee. During the week it is members only, but you get 20% off food and drink. The staff have been great, which has helped been a disabled person"

"It is so great to have this classic pub but vegan! Everything we hade were delicious. We tried the Sunday roast (on Sunday) and the fish and chips and hot sauce cauliflower (on Friday). Notice every day they have a different menu (depends on the day). They have this great variety of beers, and the atmosphere is super fun. Can't recommend enough."

"Rockfish is great for gluten free. They used to have a separate gluten free menu but now have an allergens menu with clear symbols, a separate fryer and gluten free vinegar. I’ve never had the battered fish but I love all the fish options and the chips are great. Always feel safe eating there (been twice) and comfortable that they take care as items come out with gluten free flag and they remind you that you can’t share the other diners food."

"Quite rare nowadays to find somewhere that does a nicely prepared interesting vegetarian course (that isn’t lasagne, veggie burger, or risotto! The grilled cauliflower was a lovely thoughtfully, presented dish. We also really enjoyed the cocktails. The atmosphere is lovely as well. Service was great. What a little treasure! I’m looking forward to coming back in the New Year."

"This restaurant is fantastic! The food is exceptional, the drinks are top-notch, and the service is outstanding. They even had live music, which added to the already great experience. A must-visit when you're in Letchworth. Service, atmosphere, and food all receive a perfect score of 5. Recommended dishes include Baby Back Ribs, Lamb Chops, and Chicken Wings. Price per person is £20-30 for dinner."

"I ate here a afternoon last month, while I stayed in london on the novotel on canary wharf. I had seen this place that was introduced on a TV program. it looked like to be in a very interesting environment and I like this style. of space. as I said that I was on canary wharf and it was actually a very simple trip with two busses to just a few hundred meters from the entrance to the trinity buoy wharf where the diner is located. this whole area is another where there is a large amount of development with the construction of apartment blocks. the wharf himself has seen the development with several units that are now working as small companies. the other feature worth mentioning is the excellent view from the wharf of the o2 arena opposite and the huge cloud scratches of canary wharf in the middle distance. so diner itself and it is really a great place to eat. I don't know if it's an original or a reconstruction, but it's an American diner of 60 years that they see in films and photos of this epoche. the menu is quite extensive and is naturally centered around the ubiquitous burger, but there are many other possibilities, including salads for the healthy food! there are also breakfast options. a burger was just good for me and I chose one with cheese and speck along with the usual other circumcisions and fillings. a very large part of the delicious pommes accompanied it. to complete the true American style, I had a beautiful milkshake with it. the food came in good time and it was a pleasure to eat while the look at the view. they can even see the cable car ride that passes very close over the themses. I finished with a beautiful cappuccino and the whole bill I thought was very reasonable. I can highly recommend this place if they like this style of restaurant and I really hope to go back a day."

"Henry's is an excellent spot to enjoy a delicious burger and fantastic cocktails. They go above and beyond to satisfy vegan burger lovers with creative fillings. The fried pickles are a must-try, and it's a perfect place to dine with both vegan and non-vegan friends and family."

"Was looking forward to trying here as had previously had uber eats and was really pleased, Unfortunately it was a bit basic, took mum who's 82 and really didn't suit her, can of wine offered to be served in a stainless steel cup may be trendy, but really not ideal for her The burger was a bit dry and not particularly tasty, fries were good. Service was bright and cheerful, the young lady that served us was very helpful, so top marks there. Definitely a young person place, music was quite loud, definitely and a step up from Macdonalds."

"Great food, happy hour specials and very friendly, attentive staff. I also really liked the outdoor seating area which features some heat lamps and long tables. We had the fried pickles and shared a poutine as an appetizer. The fried pickles came with jalapeños and a yummy sauce which I wasn 't expecting, really good. The poutine is normally a meal but we shared it as an additional appetizer with our group of 4. The beef gravy on the poutine was flavorful and the fries were thin and crispy. I do think it could have used a little extra cheese but we all enjoyed it. Among the group, we had 4 burgers. 2 Beef burgers, a friend chicken burger, and a veggie burger. We were all really happy with our food. It 's also cool that the burgers come stamped with a goat shape. There 's also an option of tumbleweeds which are like thin onion rings, instead of fries with the burgers. We also had some beers and drinks and the waitress was really good about noticing when our drinks were low and asking if we needed anything. Definitely reccomend!"
