"that's my third time at a leon and every time I like it more! this time I got a 30% discount (they can only get it by using up to their email list and the code in their app) so it was a really good offer. every time I go, I get the aioli mac n Cheeze bites – they are really delicious and the outstanding LEON food for me (although being warned, they only get 5 in one part, so they are somehow expensive.) I went with my friend and we also shared a Moroccan me*tballs, pink peppercorn ste*k wrap and baked fry. both Me*tballs Ste*k wrap were delicious, but if I had to grab the Me*tballs, I cut it off. the riders are good when they are hot, but these were lukewarm and it is not the first time that I would at leon so that I would not recommend this so much. overall, eating is really delicious but the 30% discount makes it really good!"

"My self,my partner and a friend were here on Friday last for a get together and drinks. The management of this establishment is questionable to say the least! How can any decent manager or management team allow a member of their own staff to be lone working in such an environment? Whilst we were there a very inebriated man was harassing and intimidating the young woman working behind the bar.She had made her feelings clear to the guy and he still wasn't getting the message. Another couple of customers attempted to ask him to leave so the woman behind the bar could do her job.They managed to get him out of the door but the guy ended up coming back and behaving exactly the same. My partner tried to intervene when he was becoming aggressive towards the woman working behind the bar but then the guy turned on my partner as well. I asked if she wanted me to try and get him out and she was caught between a rock and a hard place as her management team were useless to say the least! Why oh why would you leave a woman on her own behind the bar?I could see that the premises had CCTV but how is that going to protect anyone in reality? I have visited this premises before back in and back then it was lively,vibrant, fresh and clean. Tonight we didn't feel safe in here. The drunken customer harassing the woman behind the bar, making her feel unsafe and uncomfortable, and the lack of security or management present was very off putting. For this reason we will never return to this establishment for all the reasons stated above. I for one will be warning everyone I know not to spend their hard earned cash here or their quality time with friends and family ,as it is obvious that they will not be respected as much or protected as Treacles drunken aggressive regulars. An employer who doesn't prioritise the safety and well being of their employees and customers doesn't deserve to be an employer."

"Anyone thinking of going here should prepare themselves for an awkward almost comedic experience. The waiter may aswell have told me to get lost when I asked for two coffees, one of which we never actually received along with the milk and sugar...we asked for. The waitress was no better, trying to charge us for two coffees and standing there rolling her eyes at me because I couldn't type on the miniature card machine. We had planned on eating here but we didn't want to offend the staff with our presence for any longer so we decided to eat at the lovely cafe opposite, which I would highly recommend."

"delivery honest opinion with full pause from order scotsman burger easy 4* could have been easy 5* (as it did not get too piping hot and not cold, but hot to warm overall problem as they see the skin on fries with pfefferminz soße was delicious and could easily evaluate 5* on itself. mac and if just 4* could have been very easy on top 5* (lovely and cheesy mixed grill this requires a detachment of own rib eye steak 5* juicy and tender (the type I like it personally, rare to medium). huh 4* on the dry side, but still nice. gammon steak 3* pretty hard and chewy the rest of the mixed grill 3* I feel as if it were a bit lacking 2 sausages a piece speck a ei and a single black pudding small tub of budding (the nice one big mushroom and half tomate were again it could be hard to say that it was 2 sticky toffe pudding missus says 4* me 5* it really hangs on her sweet tooth (I personally loved it where as my partner, though it needed more sirup, but we both agreed would have been nice with a single small circumference ice. "We have just returned from lunch at the Woodside. We have been here a few times over the years on and off but we haven't been recently and I can't praise the place enough. The staff were attentive and friendly. We were sat on a nice table by some patio doors and didn't feel crammed in like some places. Myself and my husband had a sharing platter to start which was really good. I then had the Korean chicken skewers with triple cooked chips and the most delicious slaw/salsa I've ever had. Usually when you get chicken skewers you get pieces of chicken breast but this skewer had three delicious whole chicken thighs. The chips were hot and tasty. My husband had the steak and Merlot pie which was a proper pie (not a stew with a lid on). He really enjoyed his meal also. It wasn't cheap but I really don't mind paying if the food is good, and it was. Will be returning."

"I took my son there for a steak. On arrival, we were asked if we had made a booking and this was checked up on their screen. As the majority of the tables were empty, I thought they would fill up. However, by the time we left, the majority of the tables were still empty; begging the question as to why reservations were such a big deal on arrival. My son ordered a 12oz fillet steak medium which was butterflied rather than grilled whole which we did not understand as it came from the tail end of the fillet rather than the butt or prime end. I ordered a 12 oz ribeye medium rare. Both steaks came cooked exactly to order. The fillet was reasonably tender but the ribeye had membrane that had not been removed and made it quite tough eating. In addition the ribeye had been marinaded in some form of sweet dark sauce which could be clearly tasted and which spoiled the overall taste of the ribeye steak. The accompanying pepper sauce was rather bland. The fries and sweet potatoes were reasonable, the grilled tomatoes over-cooked and the mushrooms were good. The English mustard requested was in front French and I heard an adjoining table have the same challenge. I do not believe that they had English mustard on that night, or perhaps at all. When the ribeye was pointed out to the waitress, the response was a quite blase Oh really, well I 'll be sure to tell the chef . Apart from that, the service was acceptable to good. The malbec ordered was a little rough but quite good. We ordered tap water which came in spring-top bottles; a rather nice touch. Would I go there again? Possibly for a burger but not if I want a good steak."

"The place is lovely and the staff really nice and attentive. The food was delicious. We had a little issue with one of the steaks and, when we talked to the staff, they quickly solved it, no problems. The Mac’n cheese is really good. I recommend the cookie and ice cream as dessert."

"This place sounds and looks like it will be great, however unfortunately it falls short. I've had BBQ other places which has been better, for a lot less money. It's very expensive. The brisket is a little tough, and came in sauce (would have been better on the side in case you don't like it) on a cold plate which made it go cold very quickly. The mozzarella sticks were served on a cold sauce and plate which also meant they went cold quickly. They weren't melted in the middle like you would expect either. The fried chicken is nice with good seasoning. The onion rings we had weren't good, the batter was floury in places and didn't cover the whole ring so hadn't been cooked very well. The music in there is far too loud, which then causes everyone to have to raise their voices when talking, to which the staff responded by turning the music up! Overall, over priced and a little soul-less."

"We ordered with my partner big vegan breakfast (there are two options vegan breakfast and big vegan breakfast , this was the big one) which is available all day. You can see what is included in the attached photo. I am someone who does not feel fulfilled easily when I eat outside but the portion of this dish was very large. The taste was amazing! There were a few specific things we asked for and the waitress was so helpful and nice to us. I would definitely recommend it for very tasty food and great service!"

"we arrived shortly after 1 hour and there were no places, there were five of us. the manager was very helpful and suggested that a table was ready and had just gone so that we had this table and made him ready for us. while we waited, we ordered in cash. the service was very good, eating was hot and very tasty. would recommend it to any young and old. they also have a gluten-free and vegan menu."

"Ltd menu due to supplier Covid issues which is understandable, however the prawn and salmon starter is basically a pot of seafood sauce. "Myself and my partner visited in May for his birthday celebrations. Due to having children, we don’t manage to get out an awful lot, so after hearing some good things about Homewood, I decided to book it for his birthday meal. When I made the booking, I did pop a note on there to say it was a special occasion and we were really looking forward to it. When we arrived, we walked into the main entrance and approached the main reception area. No one was there, many members of staff just walked past us without even acknowledging us (I get people are busy but just a quick “I’ll be with you in a min!” Would have been great) we had a look around and couldn’t see anyone, there was someone serving on the bar in the room next to us but the bar was busy and we got no acknowledgement from them either. 15 minutes later, a lady came out and was quite abrupt, asking us what we were there for, we explained and then she lead us to a table in what I would say was the worst spot in the restaurant. There was an air con machine behind us blasting directly onto us and we were both freezing! We mentioned it 3 times to 3 different members of staff and they did eventually turn it down. The food was ok at a push, we were kept waiting a long time before they took our order and the food then took a very long while to come out. Drinks were forgotten and it was just not the experience we were hoping for. We had planned to do 3 courses but ended up doing 2 and then paying/leaving. Really quite disappointed with the service."

"Decided to go to Christophers for the brunch we had heard that the chocolate brioche French toast was worth trying. It was yummy ! I wasn't able to finish mine but I think most people would be able to. We had coffee and tea also. We did contemplate ordering the pancakes but we were too full! It wasn't too busy at all, considering it was half term.... it was a Wednesday though so perhaps that's why. We did call ahead as we were running 5 minutes late, the staff were understanding. The service was quick and the vibe inside was quite chilled. I do think they should have a better drinks menu and offer more savoury vegetarian options for breakfast as they only had avocado on toast. Another couple left in a huff as they wanted pancakes and they were only available on the weekend menu. Maybe this is something that could be adjusted? Other than that a good experience, I would visit again!"

It was more than I expected, the service and A le Carte menu surpassed our expectations. "I thought this place was vegan, but it's not. happy cow has now updated. it sells dishes with eggs and salmon, but they still call themselves plant-based (their varieties). also, I ate and my smoothie was served in a plastic cup that is not only bad for the environment, but also not really inappropriate: they would not give my food in plastic plates or give me plastic cuts, so why the plastic cup? the service is also not good; when they realized that I was vegan, their way changed and wise. eating itself was best moderate and quite expensive for what it was. the smoothie was more like the stuffed juice than a normal smoothie. updated by previous review on 2021-12-03"
