"We came to Farzi Cafe after hearing all the hype surrounding the food and the atmosphere. Sadly it wasn’t what we thought. This is the first time that I have given a relatively negative review on Google but this I think needs to be said. We came on a Sunday evening for a early dinner, we got seated by the front staff. Once we got seated a server was quick to approach us to see what we would like. This was pleasant. After giving us a couple minutes we placed our orders and waited. Starters looked amazing but lacked the taste. The started were bland and lacked the taste kick. After eating this we waited for dinner to arrive. At this point we heard one of the staff members a female singing out loud and walking around jiving to her own singing. This was amusing at first but then became annoying. She then started to tell off one of her staff members in front of us. This wasn’t appreciated especially when the cafe half full. We then got dinner, this again looked great but the egg royal lacked in taste and the lamb vindaloo was over cooked and hard. Both dishes were not to the standard we had anticipated. They were both sent back. Dessert is what has give the cafe the 2 stars. They were great. Overall: we have heard a lot of good things but our visit wasn’t what we expected and sadly shocked. We didn’t pay for our dinner part of the bill. Not the best service and food looked great but no taste. Maybe it was a off day."

"My friend booked here for afternoon tea for 4 people and received confirmation. Upon arriving at 1 p.m on a Saturday afternoon the place was empty which was very surprising given that other nearby venues were crowded, they also didn't seem aware that we had booked for afternoon tea either. Alarms bells started to ring when the waitress asked for our drinks order my friend asked what type of teas there were, to which the reply was PG Tips and then she advised that she would see what the chef could put together. It got worse from there when the afternoon tea selection came out. Cheese and onion and some unidentifiable meat sandwiches, slices of quiche and a small selection of macarons, tiny doughnuts, scones and profiteroles minus the chocolate. It looked very unappealing so we decided that we didn't want to contemplate eating this and there was no way we were going to pay for this either. We decided to leave after speaking to the staff who in all honesty were very apologetic and said that we didn't have to pay for our teas and coffees even though we offered to pay for them. They even said we could still stay and eat what they'd brought out and we wouldn't have to pay but we politely refused. Please be very aware that the menu advertised on the website is NOT what we were served. How this place is still in business is beyond me.....just don't even bother going here."
