"During our first visit to Great Britain two years ago, we had breakfast at a Carluccio's and the experience was so memorable that when we returned in September, I insisted on going back. Although we tried another restaurant this time, the experience was just as fantastic. Carluccio's truly serves the best eggs Benedict I have ever tasted. I can no longer enjoy eggs Benedict in Canada because it just doesn't compare. Their beans are also delicious! The Earl Grey tea they offer is unique and unlike any others I have tried - I wish they sold it because I have not been able to find anything similar in stores. The servers are friendly and it's great to browse their selection of gifts and snacks after our meal. I recently tried their cocoa meringue and it was absolutely delightful. A meal at Carluccio's has become a staple of every trip to Britain for us."

"One of the best places for consistently delicious breakfast has to be 26 West. I couldn't resist stopping by, especially since my breakfast cravings were calling. As you can see from the picture, I decided to go all out and order a little bit of everything. I'm happy to report that it truly remains one of the best breakfast spots around. I was completely satisfied and felt full all day long, despite how busy the service was."

"The Thirsty Bear Pub is a refurbished venue on the outskirts of central Reading at the end of Kings Road. This place has bags of character. Spread over 3 floors there is the main ground floor as you enter, up the stairs to the middle floor which serves as an individual venue if required then up again to the roof top terrace which is a lovely little space out in the open air. Chatting to the landlord there are plans to try a DJ in the near future possibly using the entire middle floor. With a lot of potential this could well be an up and coming venue in Reading. Definitely worth checking out. Recommended."

"I have been to this restaurant before, but I was very disappointed during my recent visit. They were out of a large number of items, including steak, halloumi, and cheesecake. They also got my order completely wrong and the dishes were not served as listed on the menu. The sauce was watery and over-seasoned, and the burgers were greasy and poorly presented, which may have been because it was the end of a busy Mother’s Day. Overall, I left feeling let down."

"tipu sultan is the obscure to all the positive reviews it has collected in the few years, it is open. how regularly from its first weeks in operation until now the one thing I feel, they deserve the highest praise for is 'consistency' too many restaurants open with promise and potential to become standard bears, but ultimately many take their eye on what is really important in a restaurant....Jep the food. decoration, style presentation are all vital, but if this makes the taste of it so hard! are generous and a main dish is more than enough for two. I love the open kitchen view nice to see how many people work to let all this happen. the only reason I didn't score it is a feeling that the refreshment drinks a tad over price when compared with the cost of food. a glass koks is £2,50! Now, for something that 's not cost more than 30p to supplement such a jar seems a tad inappropriate. and the comparison I use is a starter of search kebabs from lamb costs £4 or so. lamb is an expensive meat, as they can calculate for good food and so much for sugary soft drinks! a little complaining and I always have water with my food, why am I complaining!"

"This is the worst experience I have ever had. I really wish I could get my money back. It was very loud, disorganized and terrible overall. The waiters didn't know which tables belonged to them. The people there were incredibly loud, enough to visibly disturb everyone else, and nobody did anything about it. The food was badly seasoned and cooked. The portions were tiny. Never come here, never. It is a terrible hotel restaurant."

"We decided to go to the Victoria Inn for a date night and had a very enjoyable time. There was an excellent selection of starters and main courses starters were particularly inventive and our chosen dishes were delicious. Its been a long time since I've had such a good risotto and although the mushrooms were truffled, the flavour was subtle rather than overpowering so full marks to the chef for that. Service was prompt but not over friendly."

My suggestion is to dine in at the restaurant and savor the high-quality food served on real plates with genuine silverware and attentive service. Food delivered through a delivery service simply cannot compare, especially during peak hours, and I am amazed that some people think it should. "I used to be a regular here but with new waiters and waitresses who have clearly not been trained in hospitality, I won’t be visiting again. On my penultimate trip, I was not served despite asking for a table and making eye contact. I had my baby whom I was feeding and had to wait for my sister to arrive to take my order as I was upset at the hostile staff. The next day I was charged for cakes I asked for but had not even been correctly packed. This was really careless as I was overloaded with shopping and couldn’t check my takeaway boxes and request missing items were packed as I had paid for them. On my last trip (Saturday 23rd) I stood at the front and paid for a hot drink which I requested as a takeaway with a poorly newborn but watched the waiter and waitress take other orders first. In the end I had to leave without my drink and money as I was far too angry but also tired at the prospect of standing around. It’s such a shame they were not able to hold onto their original staff who were so very kind and warm and friendly. Suffice to say I will not be coming here again and wasting my money."

"While passing through Tenterden, we stumbled upon the most amazing food we've ever tasted! It was a true delight. The roast was cooked to perfection, and the Gypsy tart was a delightful new discovery for us. We had the pleasure of meeting Chef Dom, who was a true asset to the restaurant. The staff were incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to make our dining experience exceptional. The pub itself was charming and picturesque. "I was hesitant at first about dining at a restaurant with the word "farm" in its name, but since there are limited options for vegan breakfast in Harrogate, I decided to give it a chance. The café was charming and cozy, and the food was outstanding. I ordered the vegan breakfast, which came with a tasty homemade vegan sausage, sautéed mushrooms, tomatoes, homemade baked beans, crispy kale, and sourdough bread. "It has always been a treat to have lunch at The Red Lion, but I notice corners are being cut butter is not in little pots any more with the red lion logo on top. My artichoke soup was delicious and could not be faulted imaginative with olives and parmesan cheese; the chicken liver parfait was pleasant but a bit cloying and came with a large slab of toasted brioche just the one and two thinner piece would have been more delicate, plus there was a lack of sweet jelly or even a spring of watercress. They are good, but if they believe in themselves much more, they will become unbearable. I will go bak but I hope to see an improvement in attitude."

"the rye is a renovated yet charming rustic gastropub. there are many seating and a huge beer garden for the warmer weather. the service is friendly and efficient. there is both a restaurant and a bar menu, so much choice to eat. I had the veggie lentil burger from the bar menu, which was delicious and super-filling! they have a decent selection of beer on hahn and offer a few craft beer in their selection. prices for food and drinks are standard for an iondoner pub. definitiw a great pub for a drink or eat with friends."
