"We went for a bottomless brunch on a Saturday and had a great experience. The food and drinks were delicious, but what really made our visit special was the exceptional service from Rachel and Becky. They were polite, super friendly, and helped create a fantastic atmosphere. The added bonus of mirror balls was a fun touch! Overall, we would highly recommend this place. Food, service, and atmosphere all receive top marks from us. We particularly enjoyed the English Breakfast dish."

"First time here and will definitely visit again when in Castleton. Service was first class. Relaxed atmosphere and could not fault the food. My partner ‘experimented’ with the pasta with Brussels sprouts. Wow. Highly recommended. Think I’ll have this next time. A real welcome addition to Castleton Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4"

"today to say that they were short personal, which was good, waitress explained, we had to go to the bar to order meals themselves, which was absolutely in order again. we have set ourselves and ordered our meals in the bar fast enough. However...no child menu was available, we were told that this was a menu for everyone. every adult meal came apart about mins and a meal was not served, all we thought it was on the way because the great waiting time served between other meals. a meal was absolutely ice cold and it was not possible this was explained to the waiting staff and the meal was taken away without other cakes. as I eat my meal, I discovered a wood shock that was redirected to the waiting staff. the young waiter took the wood from me, examined it, threw it on the floor and told me: “I am not the cook.” about a few minutes later a waitress came to ask, everything was in order and I explained a meal was ice cold, there were wood in mine (which I was not able to show her how the younger waiter threw it away) and another meal did not arrive at all. about a few minutes later the same waitress came back to explain after talking to the cook, the wood was “cold”. my brother in law was with me who is in the did a cook himself and could confirm that this was not ingwer, it was sharp and could scratch the skin. I then asked how the cook would know that it was ingwer if he did not really see the foreign object in my meal!? my man asked the personal if they had baby change facilities they told him they hadn't done it, they explained there was only one disabled toilet on the doorstep. my son had to be moved on the floor in the bathroom. when I later asked where the toilets were to be used for me, I was directed on toilets below that in the did perfectly functioning baby change facilities! the manager wouldn't talk to us and instead he sent his waiting staff to communicate with us. we got a refund for the unsatisfactory meals, but that was far from the standard we expected, I can confirm that I never returned to this restaurant."

"Visited yesterday at 4pm and can confidently say we will never return. Ordered 4 soft drinks which took over 20 minutes to arrive and when they did arrived incorrect with additional drinks we didn't order. When ordering our food, several things we wanted off the menus including the childrens menu) were not available however nobody had said this to us prior and the waitress looked this this was clearly news to her when I informed her someone should have said this when we say down. 2 of our group ordered starters- £8 for 4 pathetic peices of calamari which didnt even have a piece of lemon or a bit of garnish on the side for presentation purposes- absolute rip off! Ordered 3 sunday lunches which took over hour to arrive and when they did eventually arrive were cold and missing the veg. When I questioned where the veg was on the plate, the waitress returned with some limp, wet and pathetic looking cabbage on a puddle and said there were no carrotts left. No apology no nothing. Told her is really wasnt acceptable and again was looked at like I was just being difficult. 5 minutes later another waitress appear with some equally pathetic looking carrots so they did have some clearly. Husbands chicken burger looked equally poor and pretty dry and burnt. The weather also took a turn whilst we were waiting for our food which had resulted in groups of drenched and very drunk people coming in from the beer garden who were being loud and brash cheering and just generally being drunken. The so called manager said and did nothing to quieten them down even though you could clearly feel a change of atmosphere inside from a family venue to what felt like being in the weatherspoon at 11pm on a Saturday night. As a result of the drunk groups, people were getting up and moving trying to get a table away from the noise and rowdiness. 2 pensioners who had moved eventually gave up and left without ordering informing the manager that it was because of the noise...again he did and said nothing. We couldn't bare being in the place for another minute so asked for the bill instead of desert. This arrived included drinks we didn't have on it which we had to get removed. Overall the service was terrible, food was shocking and atmophere awful. I never write reviews but didnt feel I could leave this one without one. This place needs to decide it its a bar or a restraunt, the manager needs to take charge, co-ordinate his staff and get a backbone to deal with drunken customers and the waitresses need some real training in expectations of good service."

"I had heard about this place a lot and we went for dinner. Being minded to save money we chose the 'early bird ' menu, and we were not alone in this as the place was packed. We had booked and got a table upstairs. We were, however, sort of squashed into the corner due to a very large group beside us, but at least a partition divider had been placed between them and us. It also seems there is not a great deal of ventilation in the place and although we were beside an open window, it had to be shut given the flies and – more annoyingly – wasps coming in that were hovering around us. So quite stifling. And I noted a number of flies buzzing around downstairs too. The staff were, however, very good and friendly as well as helpful. The early bird menu was good value and we chose well, I think. The steak strips in pepper sauce were not all that appealing to look at, and came more as a stew than anything else. But it tasted very good. The other dishes seemed to be pleasing and certainly worth the money."

"A very nice and modern restaurant with plenty of tables. We dined early and booked a table 5.30pm so it was not busy. The service was excellent and we were greeted in a very friendly manner. The menu is mainly steak and burger based however there are other options. I had a Wagyu burger and my wife a Halloumi burger served with salads. Both dishes were excellent. I could only manage half of mine and was offered a takeaway option which I accepted. Please bear in mind you will pay Beaconsfield prices although I felt that £5 for half a bottle of water was a little steep. Hence I dropped them a star. Overall I would recommend Prime."

"Stopped off here for lunch with my friend. Landlord said it was busy lunchtime, certainly didn’t look that way, although it took an age to be served at the bar. If you claim it to be busy, at least do your staff a favour and have two bar staff behind the pumps. Table needed wiping down and I asked for a cloth as I was more than prepared to do it myself. Bar staff came over and wiped the table for us. Ordered a Camembert Sharing Platter. Portion size was tiny, the battered chicken was over cooked and certainly did not resemble the strips that were shown on the menu photograph. Biting into the breaded mushrooms and water spurts out just what you want! Three onion rings each and the size of them was meagre. Tiny Camembert in the middle. A joyless meal. Having worked in the hospitality industry for years, this platter was a reminder of why I don’t bother eating out these days. Pub grub in Britain can be pretty dire at the best of times and I see that nothing has really changed. This is the kind of food that would be bought in from Brakes or 3663, so I didn’t expect gastro or gourmet, but I did expect a larger portion for two people and not to have overcooked food, or be ripped off for £12.50! Needless to say I won’t be making a return visit."

"OK OK, so we went in hungry, and everything tastes better when you're hungry! We we're looking for a decent place to have a good feed and a chat. We were not expecting the huge amount of burger choices on the menu, the delicious sides (try the barbecue chicken bites), the array of options for fries or even the above average bottle of wine. The food was delicious and filling. It's not the cheapest burger place in town, but if you are looking for high quality, this is the place. Our server was pleasant and knowledgeable about the food, even asked the kitchen to create me something bespoke. The only shame about the visit is that we didn't have space for a dessert!"

"Meal Type: Dinner Price per Person: £20–30 Food: ★★★★★ Service: ★★★★★ Atmosphere: ★★★★☆ Recommended Dish: Pan Fried Cod Loin I recently dined at this restaurant for dinner, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The service was equally fantastic, with attentive staff ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the evening. The atmosphere was quite pleasant, garnering a solid four-star rating, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. "Food was good and staff were excellent, I would ignore the below review as I’m sure this was the couple sat on the table next to us, if so they complained after they’d eaten pretty much all of their food and declined a replacement meal and a free drink, complained that an espresso martini didn’t come within 30 seconds of ordering it, they then proceeded to be rude to the staff members and the young manager there, who dealt with them very well, I got the impression this definitely wasn’t their first time complaining to try get a free meal, seems like others had the same impression from their trip advisor reviews"

"Been there couple of times. Food was absolutely amazing, but service have some room for improvement. Orders were wrong both times and you are left to yourself for a long time. They clean your plates, but no one come for 30 min to offer either desserts or bill to pay. We had to go to the bar and ask for it ourselves even though there was only 3 4 tables to serve and every other table was empty. Please be careful if you have any food allergies! Person with nuts allergy has been served dessert with nuts sprinkled all over even though we said they have the allergy. On a busy day you will wait for your main course and dessert 3 hours. Not busy day we have waited 2 hours for one course meal and a bill."

"Went to the harbour bar recently for a drink, walked in and the place was dead. Ordered a drink using the app and got served by the bar manager James. Our drinks were set in front of us without a word spoken, not even a...hello. The manager then proceeded to watch the football on the screen in front of us. Not as if he was too busy to speak! Also witnessed a member of the bar staff drop the tongs for the ice, then lifted them off the floor and placed them back into the ice bucket, not very hygienic! Extremely disappointing service."

"Myself and eleven other relatives recently went to this restaurant to celebrate my father’s 70th birthday and we had a fabulous time. We ordered from the Ruby menu and I was very impressed by how promptly we were all served. The food was excellent, with...my only issue being that the soup I had for the starter was very salty and I couldn’t finish it all. Other than that, it was a brilliant meal. When it came to dessert, my seven-year-old cousin (who was visiting from England was upset, as there was nothing that she liked. A very nice server called Martha was kind enough to give her some chocolate and biscuits, so she didn’t feel left out, which cheered her up considerably! Martha also helped us with taking photographs and keeping my cousin entertained with colouring pages. At the end of the evening, my cousin was so grateful that she insisted on giving Martha a tip from her own pocket money to say thank you. It was the perfect end to an already lovely evening. Would definitely dine here again."

"I often make the journey from the north coast to Belfast and back, and the Ramble Inn always catches my eye as a welcoming spot. Recently, after a long trip to County Down, I decided to stop there for a meal and a little break. I'm so glad I did! We had a lovely table in a cozy corner, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, and I particularly appreciated the charming touches like the tiny vinegar bottles and the adorable mini saucepans they used to serve the gravy and sauces. I would definitely recommend it!"

"This café and shop on the ground floor is dog-friendly and welcoming to locals. I highly recommend trying the delicious pancakes, which are served in generous portions. There is ample parking available at the rear of the building or in a nearby public car park. The service, atmosphere, and food quality all receive top ratings. The menu is perfect for a hearty breakfast, with prices ranging from £1 to £10 per person. Don't miss out on the blueberry pancakes!"

"I hosted a birthday dinner at this restaurant, and I must say the service was exceptional from start to finish, thanks to the incredibly friendly staff. The pub features a cozy private room that's just the right size for a group of twenty friends and family to sit together and enjoy a meal. The communication leading up to the event was very reassuring. We ordered our meals in advance, and the service was fantastic; all the dishes were delicious and served quickly, so everything remained hot and we could eat together. We were also allowed to bring in a birthday cake later. Despite the pub being quite busy, everything about the evening went wonderfully. Thank you!"

"My partner and I brought our dog with us to the restaurant and asked for seating recommendations. We were seated at a table out front where smokers were coming and going from inside. We were informed that there was a heater, but it only provided warmth for about 2 minutes. The canopy above us was dripping due to the rain, and the ground was sloped in a way that caused flooding in some areas. Our dog ended up getting wetter while leaving than when he arrived, as he had to lay on a wet paved area. The music was extremely loud, making conversation impossible. Despite requesting for it to be turned down, it never happened. We had to eat facing the street, with passersby checking out our food. Additionally, a drinks delivery lorry arrived and the deliverymen made a lot of noise as they passed by us. One of them even spat on the ground. The barman/manager seemed indifferent when I mentioned that the food was good but the seating was not ideal. Instead, he chose to chat with two young ladies and their dog at the table next to us."
