"We use this place a lot and it never lets us down. It is very handy that, for nominal charge, they will deliver to BL1 postcodes. The food is authentic and freshly cooked. True, it is a little more expensive than most takeaways but still offers value for money. This is quality food without a doubt . The green curry is especially good but with yet to find a dish that we don’t like. Allow plenty of time for your order as it can get busy but they are accurate in telling you when it will arrive. Collection, of course, is always an option!"

"I was served by one of the kindest staff members I have ever encountered; I can't recall her name, but she had countless medals for her achievements and long service. Even when we changed our order after she had already delivered it, she remained cheerful and didn't seem bothered at all. With a warm smile, she continually checked in on us to ensure we were having a wonderful time. Finally, I must mention that their burgers are absolutely delicious!"

"Eating outside on the terras in the evening sun was a pleasant experience. My lamb was cooked to perfection with a thin crusty layer of fat and I don't get often such a nice ratatouille. My wife had gambas with a hint of hot Chili peppers and garlic which made her also happy. The glass of wine was served with a glass of water."

"Millside is quite local for us so it was easy to go for midweek meal out. The menu is extensive with a different special offer on 4 week nights. Being Tuesday the deal was 20% off our bill. The portions are huge, more than enough to satisfy a large appetite! There was only one waiter on duty but he was pleasant, friendly, helpful and efficient. The only thoughts for improvement would be firstly that salt content could be reduced in prepared food. In line with health advice I use minimal salt if at all so when it comes pre-salted this choice is denied. Secondly, there is a serious use of plastic in take home food. There are widely available environmentally friendly alternatives so worth considering…… We’ll be back. A great local! Thank you."

"This is not our first visit to The Vines and we have had several meals there. However, the meal we had on Tuesday was fantastic. Our waiter a very pleasant young guy Jayden) offered us menus whilst sorting out some wine and water for us. There was also an optional 4 course Christmas Menu at around £23 £24. We went instead for Gammon, Garlic Fries and Chicken Tower which came with Tobacco Onions, Peppercorn Sauce and a tasty piece of chicken, instead of Champ I switched to chunky chips! These were, I have to say the best I have ever had in Northern Ireland. Brenda The Owner) welcomed us and spent time chatting with us, a truly lovely lady. For desserts we had Sticky Toffee Pudding one with a large bowl of Freshly made Custard and mine with a scoop of Ice Cream. This Restaurant is a fairly informal relaxed dining style and was fairly busy , even on a wet and windy cold Tuesday early evening. I was so impressed with the lovely chips and of course the meal, I chose to thank the Chef Pamela) for a memorable meal. We certainly will be back and very soon....Thankyou The Vines Staff"

"We chose this as a convenient mid point venue for a birthday celebration at the Lodge Hotel Coleraine. We were greeted by unsmiling staff and shown to our table. We made our choices. The starters arrived promptly and were OK. When the main course arrived, the waitress unfortunately overbalanced her tray and the salad with blue cheese sauce slid off into my friend's bag and all over the floor! These things happen but not once did she apologise. My other friend had chosen the nut roast. This had been over microwaved to the point of cremation. She drew it to the attention of the waitress who just looked blankly at her! She finally twigged she should ask if she'd like a replacement. Again no apology. The other two mains, fish, were uninspiringly mediocre to say the least. When we'd finished these, a waitress came up with the dessert menu and said we could choose one on the house. I chose Christmas pudding which turned out to be sponge with 6 sultanas!! My two friends wanted liquer coffees and it took 20 mins before we could attract anyone's attention. We were then told the coffee machine would be closing in 10 minutes! We got the coffee and I asked for the bill and a chat with the duty manager. The chap came and chatted to me whilst I explained our unfortunate experience. He was very apologetic. I asked him to review the bill before presenting it to us. He came back with a cheesecake with a candle in and took £5 off the bill! Never again! More training def required."

"We have been a few times to DennistounBBQ dining in and taking away. Dining in we have had fairly good experiences over the years, but unfortunately not so great taking away. Firstly, the Chicken burgers delicious, the hamburger/kinney burger not quite so good, quite overdone. We had ordered in advance and walked down, to be told it would be another 15 minutes (10 mins after our allotted time) which is no big deal really, however it ended up being about 20 mins late. Again, not the worst thing in the world, but the place wasn't that busy, and we could see food being prepared there was not a lot cooking. Add to that we saw our fries sitting for a fair while before the burgers were ready it explained why they were soggy when we ate them. To summarise food is good, reminded me of a much better Five Guys, but the service/timing is a bit off."

"Got a takeaway from Rexy Jacks restaurant in Omagh on 15th October 2022. As soon as I returned home and tasted the kids chicken burger meal, I immediately spat it out as chicken was inedible and definitely unfit for human consumption. My daughter had the Wolfgang burger which had a number of different meats. She did not seem to notice anything that was inedible., The following morning, I contacted Chloe the manager at Omagh restaurant and advised of the uneaten kids meal and that the chicken was off. She immediately was defensive in stipulating that food standards are stringent and that the chicken could not be off. I diplomatically pointed out that irrespective of her dismissive claims that the fact remained there was an uneaten meal that I had agreed to bring to her and that she would refund for the uneaten meal. It was at this stage that she informed me that if the chicken was off then there was chicken in the Wolfgang burger. I immediately ended conversation to phone my daughter and the nightmare unfolded whereby my daughter had already been in contact with out of hours and was treated for suspected food poisoning . She was violently ill throughout the night. Given that the chicken was inedible and seemingly off in the kids meal, one can logically deduce that it was the chicken in my daughters burger from this resturant that made her ill. I immediately informed Chloe at Rexy Jacks who passed on her area managers details. A rather elusive chap called Liam who failed to respond to any correspondence. The samples came back eventually not showing signs of food poisoning however advised that it was most likely out of her system within 24 hrs of being violently ill and it’s unfortunate and somewhat difficult to prove food poisoning As a loyal customer who has dined on several occasions historically without issues, I had reached out again to Chloe and assistant manager Emma to try and resolve the issue and give them a chance to act in goodwill to refund the money paid for uneaten meals and another meal that seemingly made my daughter violently ill. I explained that given suspected food poisoning and uneaten meals, it may have breached food safety standards and therefore legally or as a gesture of good faith as a loyal customer request a refund rather than progress matters further for compensation due to personal injury. I strongly believe that given the nature of the complaint and uneaten food, at the very least should be entitled to a a refund after suffering from suspected food poisoning. The Consumer Rights Act states that food should have been produced with reasonable skill and care, be of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. This clearly was not the case and if we had dined in rather than a takeaway costing almost £50, we would not have been charged for the uneaten meals. The attitude of all the managerial staff is one of avoidance. Unprofessional in saying that they will speak to other managerial staff snd Will call back within a day to no avail. It’s bad enough that this has happened but it’s your attitude in refusing to refund for uneaten meals. Since this incident, I have realised from looking at other reviews that I am not alone in my disappointment in inexperienced managerial staff who take a stance that if there is an allegation of suspected food poisoning they will not make any effort to engage or resolve the situation. Appalling customer service. STAY CLEAR."

"we visited here twice in a week, so this is a good sign. Eat is nice, obviously freshly cooked and the portion sizes are decent. the waffels are fluffy and light, made perfect. the huh is quite decent and the Mac cheese is super delicious (I tried the classic and the loaded both recommend). there is an extensive beverage menu that is all reasonable prices. I don't like her drinking either. the staff was friendly and attentive, there were no problems. 4 stars because I saw a waitress dropping a knife on the floor, and then it back into the drawer. visit in January 2020: eating is still decent, since my first review and the Mac cheese is still quite good. on a lively Saturday night the fries were soggy and under, but the rest of our meal was good. the chicken pliers are always a good option. the service was relatiw slow for a Saturday night, but not so much that it distracts from the overall experience. £164 for 5 of us have a few options from the menu plus 2 3 cocktails / pints not bad!"

"A golden gem as you commute from Newry to Donegal in the centre of Aughnacloy. Our party of 4 dined at this superb restaurant on Saturday. The meet n greet was wonderful. Friendly staff who were more than happy to accommodate us. We were seated promptly in a busy environment and drinks provided as we browsed a menu fit for any palet. Food arrived on piping hot plates. A range of fresh, well presented cuisine! Excellent quality, attentive staff and you can pay Euro for Pound if that suits you. Salleys is so perfect that we decided not to dine in Donegal, rather give Salleys a second visit. We had a combo starter plated for 2 but 4 of us tucked in and it was delicious with more than enough food. We had a variation of mains different from our Saturday visit. The Beef n Bird and Chicken Stack is simply delicious and highly recommended! We finished our meal sharing two melody of deserts. They were so tasty! Staff were superb again? Very attentive and accommodating! The place was buzzing and the ambience was great! This restaurant is so well run! Plates are plentiful and the bill is easy on the pocket. We all would have no hesitation in recommending Salleys to anyone passing through Aughnacloy because we will certainly be making a return visit! This place really is a GOLDEN GEM!"

"Can honestly say this was one of the most disappointing meals of my life. Requested a booth table if possible via the app 1 month in advance, explaining one member of our party of 5 was 85 years old. However not to be, every booth was taken, bit disappointing but luckily our 85 year old is quite sprightly and didn’t mind sitting in the middle of the restaurant, although she had to wipe clean her seat before she sat down. No matter, we ordered a trio of breads to start with, only to be told they didn’t have any left, not a big deal as this was only to nibble on but unfortunately this was not the last time in this order we were let down by shortages. Three of our party ordered fish, the other 2 ordered starters as their main course, happily obliged by the friendly and attentive waiting staff. And here’s were it really went downhill the 3 fish dishes were cooked and sent to the table, it was at this point the kitchen saw fit to dispatch a poor waitress to deliver the news that they didn’t have any goats cheese left. This is totally unacceptable, but seemingly standard practice here if you read other reviews. So while our meals were ready and sitting on the table, at that point my sister had to choose an alternative. She was more gracious than I would have been and ordered a Caesar salad, well what a joke that was. Wish I had taken a picture was an inflated pitta pocket with a hole cut in the top to display 4 pieces of little gem lettuce like a miserable bouquet of flowers, and for the princely sum of £4.50, at least Dick Turpin wore a mask! As for the Peking duck, it was so dry and over cooked it was like eating leather. The grilled fish dishes were nicely cooked, however not served with char veg as advertised, and the fish and chips was a very decent portion, however the mushy peas were also absent, unless that’s what the thin green smear on the plate was meant to represent. Could not fault the waiting staff, between Tai and Antonio they were so sweet and helpful, but you go to a restaurant for the food and no amount of good service from waiting staff can make up for the kitchen’s failings. Justin the manager could not have been nicer and graciously removed the duck from our bill, but there are some serious problems here and I doubt any of our party will be back any time soon, it’s too expensive to be so below par."

"We were informed that we couldn't have tap water because it contained bits, so we ended up purchasing a bottle of water, only to find out it cost £5.50! This felt overly priced, especially since it wasn’t our fault that the tap water was unavailable. The server was very friendly, though at first, we weren’t sure if he was staff due to his scruffy hoodie and jeans. Overall, it's a charming little place and one of Swadlincote's hidden gems. I would recommend giving it a try. My friends ordered dessert, which looked scrumptious, with plenty of options and generous portions. As for parking, it's about a five-minute walk from the Rink Drive car park, which is free. You can't park directly outside the restaurant since it's located on a pedestrianized high street."

"My wife and I had a wonderful dining experience at Broadwalk restaurant. Despite the dark and rainy weather, we had some trouble finding the signage as it is located behind the front buildings. The frontage was not very interesting, but we decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed. We were warmly welcomed into the cozy interior and seated upstairs. Although the room was initially empty, it soon filled up with a great atmosphere. We started with the delicious mushroom soup and then enjoyed perfectly cooked steaks that melted in our mouths. The servers were friendly and attentive. We definitely plan on returning in the future. PS: The picture of my empty plate speaks for itself. Parking is not cheap, so if possible, it's best to walk."

"I write this review in the name of my grandparents who saw yesterday the point of Sunday dinner. I myself and my partner always eat at the place and it is always top-class so I was disappointed that my oma and grandad had a bad experience. as they sat, the waitress took her job, which was two of the specials, the frying-belt dinner and a truthahn- and ham dinner. my oma asked to have her heavy in a gray boat, to which the waitress replied aye gravy comes with dinner anyway. my oma explained that she would not like to have her dinner that would swim in the heavy, but she would have it on the side. that was in order that came out in midday eating and there were two Turkish dinners instead of a truthahn a bark that was eating cold and my oma had the heavy over everything after she specifically asked on the side. the kartoffels seemed to have been made with water and were tasteless. they were not checked until another waitress they said was very nice, their teller cleaned and asked everything was in order, as most dinners did not eat. very disappointed that they had such a bad experience, and they will not frighten."

"We have visited this restaurant multiple times to purchase seafood, and while it is always a bit pricey, the quality is worth it. However, the experience of ordering takeaway food was disappointing. After reading other reviews that explained the difference between dining in and taking out, it is clear that there has been a decline in quality over the years. In the past, Latimers was known for having the best crab sandwiches, but unfortunately, our recent experience fell short. We ordered two crab sandwiches at £6.95 each and a portion of chips, which arrived in a brown bag and were very cold. The sandwiches had more bread than filling, with a meager portion of crab meat. The chips were undercooked and there was no salad included. This was meant to be a treat for Father's Day, but we could have gotten a better meal at a gas station. Overall, the takeaway model at Latimers needs to be reevaluated based on our experience and the lack of customers in the restaurant compared to the long lines at other establishments along the seafront."

"Avoid this place like the plague indeed, you would probably survive the plague better! If you like cold food , this is the place for you. If you like sweaty food, this is the place for you. So much inconsistency. I used to be a regular, but I won’t be any more. The rudeness of the staff is completely and utterly insane, and I would not wish this food on my worst enemy. I tried to call them to reason with them, but to no avail."
