"Millside is quite local for us so it was easy to go for midweek meal out. The menu is extensive with a different special offer on 4 week nights. Being Tuesday the deal was 20% off our bill. The portions are huge, more than enough to satisfy a large appetite! There was only one waiter on duty but he was pleasant, friendly, helpful and efficient. The only thoughts for improvement would be firstly that salt content could be reduced in prepared food. In line with health advice I use minimal salt if at all so when it comes pre-salted this choice is denied. Secondly, there is a serious use of plastic in take home food. There are widely available environmentally friendly alternatives so worth considering…… We’ll be back. A great local! Thank you."

"my sonny baptisms eat here yesterday evening with a party of 50 participating and could not evaluate the wee higher. brenda and co were absolutely fantastic with us from the minute I picked up the phone to make the booking. there was another party that was booked above, but we still accommodated below and all sit together. great flexibility with the menu and if there were other requirements, they were more than happy to help us. we had excellent our meal and service, everyone was satisfied how nice it was eating and for a very reasonable price!(half the price per head of another place we had tried) if they were looking somewhere to hold a party or call for a meal, then don't look further! thanks by diarmuid, megan daragh"

"This vegan restaurant is a fantastic place to eat. In addition to their scrumptious menu, they also have a deli next door that offers salad bowls and vegan products for sale. We visited for a late lunch on Saturday and found plenty of seating. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the oreo milkshake, which I highly recommend! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, which was especially appreciated since my son doesn't like salads in his burgers. One thing to note is that they do not sell hot drinks, but you can easily pop over to the deli next door to grab one."

"Our 5 year old grandson said “ This dinner is delicious” . Thank you again to the Lodge Hotel !! Exceptional!! service and delicious food !! We got the train from Portrush and the hotel is a short 15 minute stroll away from Coleraine train station. Joan from the lodge seated us in the quieter bar area as one of our grandsons is autistic. We were able to order him plain penne pasta which they cooled down ,suggesting to close the door in case he runs out and providing us with a plastic container so he could eat his food. It’s really is more than going extra mile. The chef at the lunch carvery is always so friendly and helpful. There’s a great selection of food to choose from , carvery or order off the menu , generous portions and well priced . It’s always busy when we visit and a great atmosphere. Thank you again to the Lodge!! Exceptional every visit !!"

"Based purely on the Google reviews because if you walk past the restaurant you would not be inclined to enter. Fortunately, we did this and we didn't regret it for a second (we did make a reservation in advance and it was necessary . The 2 room staff (or boss? were so super friendly that you felt good yourself. They were extremely helpful. Not to mention the food. Not hearing anyone complain: not mom, not son 1, not son 2, not daughter 3, not daughter 4 and certainly not dad. Starter of mussels (wow!! and then a pasta with capers and olives. A huge flavor bomb!!!! Ok, we're going to stop because my mouth is watering again. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"JD Tipler as always 5 service and cuisine. The menu is well planned out with amazing food to cater for every need. As a family this is always our restaurant of choice. The staff are always welcoming and eager to please. I myself can highly recommend the chicken goujons with sweet chilli dip and champ. My husband loves the array of food and swaps between steak sandwiches, burgers, fish and chips, garlic fries etc everything is just mouth watering and the portions are always suitable for those of us who enjoy our food . My son loves his dinner and has had I think everything on the child's menu and is always unsure what he wants as he loves everything. The desserts are heavenly and regardless as to how full we are we just can't help but treat ourselves. These coupled with the many choices of coffees and teas certainly are the perfect end to any meal."

"This is a fantastic spot to enjoy a meal after work, before work, or whenever you're hungry! The portions are generous, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. It's my go-to restaurant in Union Square. They also have good COVID safety measures in place. The menu features all the classic favorites, but I highly recommend the potato skins, which are hot and spicy, followed by an Eton mess, all paired with a couple of decent beers."

"Got a takeaway from Rexy Jacks restaurant in Omagh on 15th October 2022. As soon as I returned home and tasted the kids chicken burger meal, I immediately spat it out as chicken was inedible and definitely unfit for human consumption. My daughter had the Wolfgang burger which had a number of different meats. She did not seem to notice anything that was inedible., The following morning, I contacted Chloe the manager at Omagh restaurant and advised of the uneaten kids meal and that the chicken was off. She immediately was defensive in stipulating that food standards are stringent and that the chicken could not be off. I diplomatically pointed out that irrespective of her dismissive claims that the fact remained there was an uneaten meal that I had agreed to bring to her and that she would refund for the uneaten meal. It was at this stage that she informed me that if the chicken was off then there was chicken in the Wolfgang burger. I immediately ended conversation to phone my daughter and the nightmare unfolded whereby my daughter had already been in contact with out of hours and was treated for suspected food poisoning . She was violently ill throughout the night. Given that the chicken was inedible and seemingly off in the kids meal, one can logically deduce that it was the chicken in my daughters burger from this resturant that made her ill. I immediately informed Chloe at Rexy Jacks who passed on her area managers details. A rather elusive chap called Liam who failed to respond to any correspondence. The samples came back eventually not showing signs of food poisoning however advised that it was most likely out of her system within 24 hrs of being violently ill and it’s unfortunate and somewhat difficult to prove food poisoning As a loyal customer who has dined on several occasions historically without issues, I had reached out again to Chloe and assistant manager Emma to try and resolve the issue and give them a chance to act in goodwill to refund the money paid for uneaten meals and another meal that seemingly made my daughter violently ill. I explained that given suspected food poisoning and uneaten meals, it may have breached food safety standards and therefore legally or as a gesture of good faith as a loyal customer request a refund rather than progress matters further for compensation due to personal injury. I strongly believe that given the nature of the complaint and uneaten food, at the very least should be entitled to a a refund after suffering from suspected food poisoning. The Consumer Rights Act states that food should have been produced with reasonable skill and care, be of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. This clearly was not the case and if we had dined in rather than a takeaway costing almost £50, we would not have been charged for the uneaten meals. The attitude of all the managerial staff is one of avoidance. Unprofessional in saying that they will speak to other managerial staff snd Will call back within a day to no avail. It’s bad enough that this has happened but it’s your attitude in refusing to refund for uneaten meals. Since this incident, I have realised from looking at other reviews that I am not alone in my disappointment in inexperienced managerial staff who take a stance that if there is an allegation of suspected food poisoning they will not make any effort to engage or resolve the situation. Appalling customer service. STAY CLEAR."

"we visited here twice in a week, so this is a good sign. Eat is nice, obviously freshly cooked and the portion sizes are decent. the waffels are fluffy and light, made perfect. the huh is quite decent and the Mac cheese is super delicious (I tried the classic and the loaded both recommend). there is an extensive beverage menu that is all reasonable prices. I don't like her drinking either. the staff was friendly and attentive, there were no problems. 4 stars because I saw a waitress dropping a knife on the floor, and then it back into the drawer. visit in January 2020: eating is still decent, since my first review and the Mac cheese is still quite good. on a lively Saturday night the fries were soggy and under, but the rest of our meal was good. the chicken pliers are always a good option. the service was relatiw slow for a Saturday night, but not so much that it distracts from the overall experience. £164 for 5 of us have a few options from the menu plus 2 3 cocktails / pints not bad!"

"We were informed that we couldn't have tap water because it contained bits, so we ended up purchasing a bottle of water, only to find out it cost £5.50! This felt overly priced, especially since it wasn’t our fault that the tap water was unavailable. The server was very friendly, though at first, we weren’t sure if he was staff due to his scruffy hoodie and jeans. Overall, it's a charming little place and one of Swadlincote's hidden gems. I would recommend giving it a try. My friends ordered dessert, which looked scrumptious, with plenty of options and generous portions. As for parking, it's about a five-minute walk from the Rink Drive car park, which is free. You can't park directly outside the restaurant since it's located on a pedestrianized high street."

"I write this review in the name of my grandparents who saw yesterday the point of Sunday dinner. I myself and my partner always eat at the place and it is always top-class so I was disappointed that my oma and grandad had a bad experience. as they sat, the waitress took her job, which was two of the specials, the frying-belt dinner and a truthahn- and ham dinner. my oma asked to have her heavy in a gray boat, to which the waitress replied aye gravy comes with dinner anyway. my oma explained that she would not like to have her dinner that would swim in the heavy, but she would have it on the side. that was in order that came out in midday eating and there were two Turkish dinners instead of a truthahn a bark that was eating cold and my oma had the heavy over everything after she specifically asked on the side. the kartoffels seemed to have been made with water and were tasteless. they were not checked until another waitress they said was very nice, their teller cleaned and asked everything was in order, as most dinners did not eat. very disappointed that they had such a bad experience, and they will not frighten."

"My wife and I had a wonderful dining experience at Broadwalk restaurant. Despite the dark and rainy weather, we had some trouble finding the signage as it is located behind the front buildings. The frontage was not very interesting, but we decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed. We were warmly welcomed into the cozy interior and seated upstairs. Although the room was initially empty, it soon filled up with a great atmosphere. We started with the delicious mushroom soup and then enjoyed perfectly cooked steaks that melted in our mouths. The servers were friendly and attentive. We definitely plan on returning in the future. PS: The picture of my empty plate speaks for itself. Parking is not cheap, so if possible, it's best to walk."

"Words can’t describe the food is so I’ll use numbers. Brisket burger 1/10 Ribs 5/10 Mac and cheese 3/10 Got the brisket burger to take away. After 3 bites and a lot of chewing with no flavour, I went to give it to the dog and my partner said to throw it in the bin instead as it was that bad. Shocking beyond belief they would recommend this off the menu when it’s that bad. Tasted like it was cooked a week ago and reheated in the microwave to remove the last of the moisture. After a friend telling me to go back as it was a once off this is what I got 2nd time round. Ribs (full rack) were poor 5/10, the separate sauce (bbq was 7/10) but wasn’t the fall off the bone they said it was. After a while of trying to get the meat off the bone I gave up and binned the rest. Mac and cheese (as a side) was tasteless. The next visit cost me around £17 which to be honest, was an absolute waste of money, I feel I’ve been robbed."

"Our family all ordered burgers, while I opted for a pizza. My food took an unexpectedly long time to arrive, coming out well after everyone else's. Unfortunately, when it did arrive, the pizza was barely cooked. I was so hungry that I ate a few slices, but soon realized the dough was raw, and I ended up with severe food poisoning. I’ve tried to reach out to the restaurant multiple times regarding this issue, but I haven’t received any response. Overall, the service was terrible. Price per person: £20–30. Food rating: 1."

"it was ok, not worth the price, but simply ok, everything tasted ok, but there were tiny things as that immersed in the loaded pommes was not much, it would have been good, except they pay £2 extra for them and the pulled bark was not very well pulled, it was still a big hunk, so there was no soaking between the shreds and it could just get the nice, but it could still be nice. it is not to destroy eating, they can simply leave the little pot, but why? the alcohol-free drinks are groundless, but come with a full glass of ice, so once to pull on the stray and they are on someone for a refill. it feels careless"

"A golden gem as you commute from Newry to Donegal in the centre of Aughnacloy. Our party of 4 dined at this superb restaurant on Saturday. The meet n greet was wonderful. Friendly staff who were more than happy to accommodate us. We were seated promptly in a busy environment and drinks provided as we browsed a menu fit for any palet. Food arrived on piping hot plates. A range of fresh, well presented cuisine! Excellent quality, attentive staff and you can pay Euro for Pound if that suits you. Salleys is so perfect that we decided not to dine in Donegal, rather give Salleys a second visit. We had a combo starter plated for 2 but 4 of us tucked in and it was delicious with more than enough food. We had a variation of mains different from our Saturday visit. The Beef n Bird and Chicken Stack is simply delicious and highly recommended! We finished our meal sharing two melody of deserts. They were so tasty! Staff were superb again? Very attentive and accommodating! The place was buzzing and the ambience was great! This restaurant is so well run! Plates are plentiful and the bill is easy on the pocket. We all would have no hesitation in recommending Salleys to anyone passing through Aughnacloy because we will certainly be making a return visit! This place really is a GOLDEN GEM!"

Honestly, if you're in the area, be sure to check it out – you won't regret it! I especially loved their Wasabi mayo dip!"

"Absolutely amazing evening spent at Paprika! When dining with our in-laws and young nephews, Naz made us feel very relaxed and welcome as soon as we walked through the door! His understanding in entertaining young children whilst dining out, and his kindness when the boys would speak to him was lovely!! My husband asked for his recommendation, and what was recommended did not disappoint! The most delicious curry we have had ever! We frequently get takeaways from Paprika but will now start eating in more often! Thank you again"
