"Such a good take away, I asked about a free Naga pickle (not something they normally do), he rang back and mentioned that it isn't a part of the menu due to cost of product etc. He was very pleasant about this, really appreciated the time he took to ring and explain rather than just ignoring the request, great food and great customer service. Received my take away and they've only **** given me some of that sweet sweet firey pickle and the lamb Naga was to die for, just the right balance of spice and flavour combined with genuine lamb rather than the cuts of mutton that are so often prevelant in curry houses. Really impressed with the okra dish too. Shahe is an absolute bae of a takeaway, 10 out of 10 would go again any time"

"The lunchtime experience was so good I booked for Sunday dinner only to have them tell me on the Saturday they were closing for the evening early at 5pm because of the potential violence. "I will not be going back here if I’m paid. Besides the fact they’ve taken almost all of the vegan options off, there’s a curry and fajita, which isn’t really a fajita it’s a reheated sloppy wrap! I know this because when asking about allergens or if I can take stuff out I was told it was all premade. I asked for a gluten free wrap as it was part of the option and was given a regular wrap and told about that after I had began eating it! I made my allergies very clear and the waitress tried her very best and was lovely but it seemed the kitchen staff really didn’t have a clue and something in my food set off a reaction even though I’d checked and there shouldn’t have been anything in especially since this meal was meant to be vegan (my main allergy is milk)... On top of this, the lady who came over to assist was extremely rude and insisted if I didn’t need to go to hospital it didn’t really make any difference and it wasn’t their fault so they wouldn’t do anything! Reluctantly she refunded me and said “here you go Madame if your money will make you feel better take it we obviously don’t cater to the likes of you” utterly appalled. "I had made a reservation for a birthday dinner for six people on a Thursday evening, only to arrive and find the restaurant closed due to some issue with the kitchens. There was no one available to speak to, just a note on the door. I was disappointed that they didn't contact me by email to inform me of the closure, as it would have saved us the trip. We ended up going to Davanti in Tynemouth instead. Needless to say, we will not be returning to the original restaurant in the future."

"I used to love this restaurant! The food was amazing and the ice cream was delicious. However, my last few experiences have been disappointing. Last week, I ordered a combo pizza deal with sides and a supper through Just Eat. The food arrived 75 minutes late and was cold. I called to complain and the manager agreed to remake the order. The second time it arrived, the supper was missing. They blamed the drivers for the mistakes. I spoke to a lady who promised to send the supper ASAP. However, we had already been waiting for over 3 hours. When we opened the pizza box, it was all bashed up as if it had been dropped. I spoke to the same lady again and she said the manager would call me back to discuss, but I never received a call. I'm not writing this review to get something for free, but to let you know that when you don't deliver on a paid meal, you lose customers. I paid for a meal and had to send it back twice due to your errors, but you didn't make things right. I've given you a week to respond, but it seems you're more focused on sarcastic remarks towards negative reviews. Please focus on fixing the problems in your restaurant and respect customers' hard-earned money."

"Always have a lovely meal at this restaurant, the staff very attentive but not over bearing. The restaurant is small so it’s never too loud that you cannot hold a conversation. But still has a nice atmosphere about it. Careful where you park. There is free parking after 7 close by but before that wardens are lethal. Highly recommend you try this lovely Italian"

"We had a lovely meal here. Two adults two kids. Kids menu was decent. Me and my partner had the bang bang chicken to start which was lovely! Both had the fillet cooked medium, sides all really tasty and home made chips and onion rings! The only thing I didn’t like was the guacamole (I know guacamole with steak but I love avocado! it honestly was the most horrible thing so pale in colour and smooth as anything it was clearly out of a bottle and not homemade. But that’s personal choice I guess! I would definitely eat here again the flavour on the steak was unreal!"

"in the rule have really good eating and service from this place. tonight was a completely different experience. we ordered a Munchies box and a pizza. the munitions box came without pittabrot and the pizza was burned around the edges and the cheese was brown. I called the charge and they said they would send me the pitabred and a fresh Donna meat and a new pizza. we waited 50 minutes to show up without pizza. I called the charge again and they refused to send me the pizza. I have a cold dinner now, my son has his pizza and I'm too angry to eat. we will not use this place again! update: I had a very nice excuse and a fresh hot pizza delivered."

"I went for lunch yesterday at this restaurant. It was not my first time there and it certainly won't be my last. The staff is lovely, very polite, and attentive. We tried the lunchtime special which was £14 for three courses. It was an absolute delight! The meatball starter was delicious, the potato skins and pasta were generous portions, and the pizza was delicious and plentiful (we even took some home). If you want to have a fantastic meal, this is the place to go. They also have a beautiful outdoor seating area for the summer. I can't wait for the sunshine!"

"We arrived here for a 2 night stay for a wedding (Fri sat night). PROS: Lynsey the manageress she 100% makes it so fabulous. Lovely, welcoming, looked after us brilliantly. Due to some staff shortages, she was doing what seemed like 10 jobs at once! We ate on one of the nights food was delicious! Great service tasty food. Breakfast was also spot on set us up brilliantly for the day ahead on the Saturday! The Willow room which we stayed in was fab ideal size, lovely cosy too! The whole 2 night stay was extremely reasonably priced the place itself has a great feel about it like a big cosy house! CONS: If you like total darkness, take an eye mask for sleeping as the rooms can get really bright from the early hours. Also, depending on the room, it’s on quite a busy road so can be quite nosy it would be worth having earplugs if you like a quiet surrounding. Due to staffing, the bar doesn’t stay open that late, so be mindful of this, they will however put drinks in your room if you can’t make it back in time for the bar closing. Taxis there are no local taxis, so arranging transport to the wedding we were attending was a nightmare which we didn’t account for! Luckily after 6 different phone calls, we managed to get sorted. The only gripe I had was the confusion over the bill if you decide to charge things to your room, the bills aren’t itemised so it’s difficult to keep track of what has been charged. There was some confusion on checkout over what we should shouldn’t have been charged for, so definitely choose to pay for any extras outright to avoid any confusion or uncertainty before check out. Other than that, it was one of the nicest, most personal stays we’ve had out in a long long time. This was mainly down to the Manageress Lynsey who is fabulous at her job really does make it feel like home makes you feel super welcomed relaxed. Thank you lynsey for really making a stay a one to remember."
