"My mate Steve and I dined here for posterity last night- I had my first curry from here over 40 years ago. There used to be a huge fish tank at the entrance but this sadly is a thing of the past. Huge menu with lots of curries I’ve never heard of, but I went for the RC21-named by the owner after his son years ago apparently, and absolutely delicious. No draught beer due to wastage concerns during the pandemic, but bottled chilled Cobra went down well. The one down side which moved it from 5 to 4 stars sadly was that I ordered a vegetable paratha, having become hooked on these in Blackpool, but sadly a plain one arrived. The waiter hadn’t checked the food was satisfactory, so I got up and requested a vegetable one. One quickly arrived, but was quite disappointing as I think it contained a solitary pea. Hey ho. Excellent otherwise and not worthy of the dismal impression the takeaway side of the restaurant seems to generate. Go there for what promise to be some fascinating flavours. Ding dong. "

Food arrived quickly but that was the only positive. Overpriced for what you get and once we opened containers to was swimming in oil and curry was more water than sauce. Won’t recommend or use again

Honestly gutted, been a customer of shahe for years and years and tonight my order came extremely watery, I rang them to let them know and asked for a refund and it felt like he wasn’t Listening to me on the phone and just kept saying bye and hung up the phone. I’m sad because I always get my food from here. But after this experience never again. View menu

Ordered take away because I fancied an Indian. The Garlic mushrooms were disgusting, watery and the mushrooms were raw. Tasted bland and looked regurgitated almost like vomit. Next, my butter chicken had a pice of foil in it, I had only discovered it after way into eating the dish. The rest was basic and nothing to shout about. Not good! I would avoid. :

We visited the Shahe during the “Eat out to help Out” initiative. Booked for 6.30pm we were swiftly shown to our table which was screened off from the next table. Although there was a large birthday party in we were served promptly. Quality of food was excellent I opted for King Prawn Pathia Husband and Grandson chose Jal Jool chicken you could taste all of the spices mmm delicious. Thank you for a great visit we will definitely be back.

I ordered last night 29/12 lamb bhuna rogan and garlic bread. The lamb bhuna tasted soapy and the rogan had a hair in it.. 2 garlic breads were ordered too and one of those tasted soapy. Rang the restaurant was told to ring tonight 30/12 where I was told I was a liar and a scammer and was trying to get freebie out of them.. I didn’t want a freebie I wanted them to take responsibility and at least have some of my money refunded. DO NOT USE View menu

Been using this Restaurant for takeaways for many many years. This week our order arrived on it's side, so we sent the delivery driver packing, as all the liquid had spilled onto the popadoms and salad. Our replacement order eventually arrived and we sat down to eat almost two hours after ordering. My husband enjoyed his meal but mine was very disappointing. I had ordered Lamb Tikka, which was hard and dry. I only managed to eat three pieces of meat. My rice and other things weren't very hot either, so not very appetising and most of my food ended up in the bin. Very disappointing.

Ordered a chicken tikka pathia, garlic naan bread, rice and pomps, I really don't understand what has happened here, the shahe was good, had an owner who had some pride in his restaurant and in the food, maybe he won't pay good money for a chef or has just lost interest?? last time I ordered here was 2 year's ago and I give it 1 star, today, I stupidly give it another go as my cousin said his meal was spot on from the week before, My rice was absolutely fine, my chicken tikka pathia was luke warm with a very strong vinegary taste, the curry had diced green peppers in there that was raw, I tried again, the sour taste (vinegar) was just to much, I binned it, the naan bread was very doughy, pop...

"Monday afternoon. exceptional and interesting vegan menu. we tried the Beetroot star. delicious, very light. fermented gerstenstarter, peculiar taste, but I had no fermented grains before (a substantial starter and warm). I had stuffed the front. artistic. delicious. very light. pudding was described as pfirsich, bleeding and advertising red. it wasn't from them. it was sorbet on crispy crumbs. very tasty. we have divided a division of veg. have been recommended and we were recommended that it was more from a tasting menu. Previous tasting menus I had had more courses. they should take into account this or offer aging brot at the beginning and/or veg and kartoffeln with the main. we have all gone through hunger. beside orders were not listed on the menu, so we didn't know what extra cost had been incurred and given the fact that a glass was $8, I thought two or three sides could be exaggerated. I also do not really think in the principle that set menus should need additional pages when they buy all three courses. we appreciate the craftsmanship and the effort that went into the development of the menu and prepare the dishes and their ingredients. they go here and support them in their venture, but order a few next-courts and consider them no less than three courses or do not make them too hungry. we went to another place for a coffee and vegan sweet to feel satisfied. we liked the fact that the dishes were plant-based instead of just vegan. I would definitely think new."
