"Food was sub standard. Ordered the ginger and chill crab and cod cakes with a sweet corn relish type of thing. Couldn’t taste any chilli or ginger. Cod wasn’t fresh and over cooked. Sweet corn relish was so sweet it couldn’t been a dessert. Staff weren’t naturally warm and friendly. Polite but wooden. Sat inside (first day of covid regulations being relaxed) and it was freezing. Other diners had thick winter coats on whilst eating. Whole place lacked atmosphere. £80 for 2 people, 2 course with half bottle of wine. Not worth it at all. Had a latte pre food. Tasted like a sachet!! Awful. Would not recommend and will not be back. Didn’t bring it up whilst there as was celebrating a friends birthday and didn’t want to sour her day. Very poor Cowley Manor. Do better!!"

"Surprisingly quiet for a late lunch on Saturday so quiet in fact that the cocktails we had been recommended by the restaurant that we make time to sample were not available because the cocktail barperson was offduty. Once we had passed that disappointment, the rest of the afternoon was very pleasant, aided by excellent service and food that was wellexecuted barring a few bits of shell in the crab salad and a somewhat less than melting portion of belly pork. A very handy venue for the Wigmore Hall, and for Oxford St shoppers looking to escape the retail fray. I'd happily return to this place to see how it's evolving and I still want to sample the cocktail menu"

"We were invited to have dinner at this restaurant to celebrate a friend. As Brazilians, we love Portuguese cuisine. The dishes we chose were top-notch in both taste and presentation, receiving a 5/5 rating from us. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed a refreshing white sangria. The manager was a fantastic host, the serving team provided excellent service, and overall, our experience was well worth the money spent. A special thanks to the kitchen staff for preparing such flavorful dishes. See photos below."

"Terrible. I ordered momos, Everest lamb and steamed rice. You get about 10 momos with the broth and side which is acceptable for £10. On a first bite yes they are nice but then you look and realise they are all far too uniform and are shop bought absolutely not made on the premises so I could have zipped to oriental express and got some for the freezer! No happy. The broth was a bit bland. Then we move to the curry do you think the customer is stupid? I could taste allspice and it hadn’t cooked out so was horrible and overpowering. The lamb was as tough as old boots so had not cooked off enough either. I was gonna give leftovers to my teen son but I chucked it down the toilet instead as I want him to know quality and this was not how Nepalese food should taste. What sort of clowns are running this parade?!!"

"Came here for something to eat/anniversary dinner before going to Sadler's Wells.....normally we go to The Gate further down towards the Theatre but its closed so we needed a new venue without just walking around. I found this on line. This was perfect.....The main courses...of Steak and Muscles we had were perfectly cooked as was the location and the staff.....especially the staff. However....the best bit was the Banoffee and Ice cream desert......just perfect and lovely....Make sure you have space for desert....I think during the day they will do lots of deserts with a cup of tea as these are all at the front of the Restaurant. There are a lot of places in this area...In our experience if you chose the F&O you will have a great meal, in a great location. Thank you for starting our evening off in a perfect way....And the Nutcracker at SW was great as well."

"We had on 21. June 2019 a table booked in this restaurant for 18:30. We arrived at 17:50 in the restaurant to drink a drink in the bar. When we arrived, the place was closed! There was a little hint at the door to say that they were closed because of a problem in the kitchen and would soon be opened again, but not when. We called the restaurant later this evening and left a message, but so far no one has returned our call. We had not informed about it by phone or e-mail. After we had traveled a considerable distance there, we were extremely upset to say the least. We could never recommend a restaurant whose owners treat their customers with dune. If you want a Resataurant in the Wandsworth area, L'Affaire should never be on your menu. We are also concerned that this is badly reflected on OenTable as a booking organization. I would appreciate your company's comments on this topic."

"Last night, we visited Al Forno and had a wonderful experience. We stumbled upon the restaurant by chance and were not disappointed. The friendly young waitress seated us by the window and our pizzas arrived quickly and were delicious. The garlic bread was particularly tasty. The pizzas were generously topped with fresh ingredients and the crust was perfectly crispy on the outside and melted in the middle. The portions were so large that we had to take half of our pizzas home. Although we did not try any desserts, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and do not understand the negative reviews."

"The waiter was very rude and seemed uninterested in serving us. Every time we asked for another drink, it seemed to bother him. He even blew on our water glasses before filling them up. "Faced with last-minute New Year's plans, we were attracted by the convenient location and Mediterranean small plates menu in a pub setting. When we learned that the New Years menu was a fixed price mix of Mediterranean appetizers and traditional English roast beef or salmon, we thought that would please our party of diners so long as we could share plates and not have a full-price dinner for each person. The fixed assortment of Mediterranean appetizers included a duck pate which we asked to be substituted or removed, but the argumentative server insisted it couldn't be changed and it eventually came to the table anyway. Otherwise, the appetizers were unremarkable and proved to be the best part of the meal. After a loooong wait, the entrees of roast beef and salmon arrived. Both were extremely overcooked, slathered in unappealing sauces, and none of the accompanying vegetables were as advertised in the menu. The food quality was below that of a school lunch room. When we pointed out the differences and requested the listed Yorkshire pudding, the servers told us we must have had the wrong menus. We asked for a correct one but it was never produced. The miserable evening ground on for more than two hours with intermittent and unpleasant service from the staff. We eventually complained to the manager and he had the grace to subtract one fixed price meal from the charge. It was still an overpriced, memorably bad dining experience."

"We got there and were seated next to a drunken group who were celebrating a party which although not the restaurants fault, didn’t start the night out the best. The starters I would say were amazing, however we both had pizza as a main which was awful. It tasted like it’d been cooked a week ago and left out in the sun. We tried to enjoy it but despite being starving we only managed half. I did inform the restaurant who apologised and discounted one of the pizzas, sadly this was not enough and ruined the night."

"very beautiful environment, beautiful place for romantic dinner, in any case it may recommend. wein was ok although they probably want to order a bottle bc price per glass is ridiculous. but courts should have better achieved good quality at this price level, but overall experience under my expectation. for example garnel with mango sauce was like 90% mayonnaise they could simply use mango with lemon honey and coriander or chili why add a mayonnaise? too many supplements also ruined carpaccio. all the ingredients were decent, but together it was a chaos I could not feel the taste of the main thing"

"I've visited this restaurant several times, and the food and service are both excellent. However, I have one complaint about the background music. I don’t understand why restaurateurs feel that a meal must be accompanied by music that makes conversation difficult. It’s particularly challenging for me, as I have a hearing issue and had to ask for the volume to be lowered, which they did. But honestly, soft background music should suffice—there’s no need for someone belting out songs. When this happens, which is often these days, I just want to leave."

"A bare bones type of restaurant that also serves as a take away pizza place Environment Very small. Only seating for 25 people. So come early or book (or take away). The decor is very basic. Tables, chairs and pictures. It doesn 't have a cozy feeling as it is too bare. Location is very good. Just in the corner of Ealing Road and Pope 's Lane. Few minutes walking from South Ealing. A few buses get you there easily. Food We started with Focaccia and olives, soon to find out that it is completely overkill. After the order it takes around 10 minutes for the pizza to come, so might as well wait a bit longer for them as they are huge. I had the Toto , with cured ham, cheese and some fresh herbs. Basic stuff, still, like pretty much all *Italian* pizza, it 's the real deal. Fantastic woody taste in the dough. And after that, a slice of tiramisu. It had just the right texture. It wasnt dunk in liquor, like most are Value At the end, a meal for 3 was £50. Which included drinks, 3 pizzas, starters and a dessert. Can 't really beat that considering the overall quality of the meal."
