"Had a lovely lunch at Cowley on a day with very mixed weather. They have clearly spent time and money on erecting a sturdy, but attractive, canopy over the outdoor terrace. There was some torrential rain while we were eating but we were completely protected so remained dry and, with the addition of heaters and blankets, warm too. Although it was busy, the tables were well spaced so we didn't feel too close to the other diners. The view at Cowley is absolutely beautiful even in the rain so it was great to be outdoors enjoying it, even with mixed weather. The food was very tasty I had poached salmon and my friend had fish cake. The portions are never huge but it was enough, with side orders, to feel satisfied. Service was friendly the only grumble was that it was quite slow (over 40 minutes before our food arrived! . But all in all, a very pleasant return to socialising (safely!"

Lovely setting, food and service was very good. Would highly recommend and looking to go back again when the weather is a bit warmer.

their falafel wrap and pommes were really good! I had to order the falafel without tzatziki sauce that contained yogurt, but unlike that, my experience was great!

We ate on the Terrace on a very windy, rainy day one of our party was a little wet and it was very cold but the experience was still fabulous after so much lockdown.

We enjoyed our al fresco lunch, but the heating was inadequate to maintain a reasonable temperature on a cloudy day. The food and service were excellent and of course the surroundings spectacular

They have made a wonderful job of providing shelter on their beautiful terrace, with a perfect view. They provided blankets and heaters, and we were blessed with sunshine. It was an absolute treat.

The service at this restaurant was poor, as they confused our table with others and were slow. However, the food was enjoyable, though I feel it could be improved. Overall, I was disappointed but it was okay.

My family and I had many meals at Cowley Manor. It was nice to be back. There was a slight delay with eating my son, but the staff delivered an excellent response and service, which then more for them. They were clearly busy with large sales of Diners, but they were very professional, extremely polished and fully focused on the needs of their customers. Well done all.

The outdoor dining area at the restaurant was well-prepared for Covid restrictions. Our table was nicely spaced from others and the staff were very considerate when bringing food and cleaning between guests. The covered awning, patio heaters, and blankets made it comfortable in any weather. The beautiful cake plate for my friend's birthday was a thoughtful extra touch.

The food was a substandard. The ginger and chill cab and cod cake with a sweet corn-relish type of thing ordered. Can't taste chili or ginger. Cod was not fresh and boiled over. Sweet Maisrelish was so sweet that it was not a dessert. The staff was not naturally warm and friendly. Polit, but wood. Sa inward (first day of Kovid regulations relaxed) and it was freezing. Other diners had thick winter coats at dinner. The atmosphere is missing. £80 for 2 persons, 2 course with half bottle of wine. It's not worth it at all. Had a latte appetizer. Try like a bag!! Awful. Would not recommend and will not be back. Didn't bring it while there was how celebrated a friend's birthday and didn't want her...

"I had been in this pub for a while, but my family and I were on the way from cheltenham to Westonbirt at 17 o'clock and called for an early dinner. all four of us said that the meal was faultless, we enjoyed all three courses and cannot praise this place enough. such a great atmosphere, cordial greeting from the incredibly fabulous staff and a seat directly at the log tariff. what more can they demand. it is easy to find, beautiful location and has plenty of parking right next to the pub. in summer there is a large garden back. in februar this is the place to eat when they go to visit the colesbourne snowdrop gardens that are right in front of the house and not to miss. the menu at the colesbourne inn is huge and offers for everyone something wonderful, regardless of their taste or nutrition to choose. my calamari ‘Bar Bite’ size starter was superb and definitiw a greater part than we expected. the other appetizers, a black bell and black pudding with fried egg was superb as well as the bread selection we also ordered. mostly fish Pie....only full of a lot of different fish and whistle fish. my son had the steak and ale pier he claimed he was the best he had eaten in a very long time. two of us had the nut roast dinner.... I want my Christmas dinner to be as good as that. desserts of fruit crumbs and custard finished the meal with the obligatory glass or two of fizz. for each device in these times to offer this incredible selection of oriented, which is an absolute credit for them by the most kind of employees ever and the very high standards they did. highly recommended at any level possible. well made the colesbourne inn"
