"Faced with last-minute New Year's plans, we were attracted by the convenient location and Mediterranean small plates menu in a pub setting. When we learned that the New Years menu was a fixed price mix of Mediterranean appetizers and traditional English roast beef or salmon, we thought that would please our party of diners so long as we could share plates and not have a full-price dinner for each person. The fixed assortment of Mediterranean appetizers included a duck pate which we asked to be substituted or removed, but the argumentative server insisted it couldn't be changed and it eventually came to the table anyway. Otherwise, the appetizers were unremarkable and proved to be the best part of the meal. After a loooong wait, the entrees of roast beef and salmon arrived. Both were extremely overcooked, slathered in unappealing sauces, and none of the accompanying vegetables were as advertised in the menu. The food quality was below that of a school lunch room. When we pointed out the differences and requested the listed Yorkshire pudding, the servers told us we must have had the wrong menus. We asked for a correct one but it was never produced. The miserable evening ground on for more than two hours with intermittent and unpleasant service from the staff. We eventually complained to the manager and he had the grace to subtract one fixed price meal from the charge. It was still an overpriced, memorably bad dining experience."

An undrinkable Gin martini, very disappointing food and a somewhat chaotic atmosphere.

The gin martini was phenomenal, but the food was a letdown and the atmosphere was a bit chaotic.

Loved this spotJust off the main strip but close enough to get into trouble if that's what you're looking for.

Staff was pleasant and service was OK but everything else was very average. We were expecting a gastro-pub with some character but this place is a very basic pub, with no ambience at all. Food was average to poor. Wouldn’t go back.

Lebanese food was very good (and I know Lebanese food), portions were huge, value was good. They've done a marvellous job restoring this old pub. Service also good and enthusiastic. Only negative was loud music, which seemed out of character with the place but may reflect e target crowd. Do give it a try.

Took a friend there for his Birthday last weekend. First time I ever visited this establishment was in Wow ! The new owners have done a fantastic job with the refurbishment. The food was gorgeous, we both ordered the mixed grill with sides. My friend cleared his plate, I tried to but was delighted when our lovely waitress packaged up the rest for me to enjoy later on that evening. Amazing flavours and subtle combinations. The place is spotless...The toilets are the cleanest I have ever visited in the area. The decor (my personal opinion) is stunning...the ceiling, the bar, the comfortable seats and the fireplace...I look forward to my next visit.

I booked the White Horse at the very last minute. I work at the Royal Free so I'm a regular but I booked on line. On the day before Mother's Day I got a call saying they may not have a table. I was really dissapointed and after a few minutes the lady I spoke to said she'd do her very best to squeeze us in. They had no idea I was a regular at that point When we arrived we had a lovely table by the open fire on a freezing cold Mother's Day. The service was excellent. The staff whom I know well were as friendly and helpful as ever. There was eight of us in the group and my family loved the food They made Mother's Day really special with their attention and the lovely atmosphere.
