"I called for lunch and was pleased that there were some good vegan options, including suppe, interesting looking sandwiches and hot pornstar (also kuchen.) I went for a Caribbean art curry and rice that was very delicious. service was friendly and it looks like there is also a nice evening atmosphere with jazz on a Thursday night. about 15 minutes walk from the most common college. would definitely go back."

"I love the look of this cozy rammen shop, which is why I entered spontaneously! but note that there are more rooms on the top floor! / I went for her most favorable option that the 3 garlic rays and I loved it! it was so different when I could come home. I thought, however, it could be more suppe and noodles a bit harder. but foresee that they must love garlic. / also the karaage huhn tried and was very crispy! not bad. drink options were also plentiful and interesting. Service was friendly but easy on the slower side. "

"First I went here was early this year but their card machine kept declining my card, which worked everywhere else. I explained how my card was fine, but the guy was borderline rude and didn’t want to hear that it was from their side, so I left. Of course I tried my card elsewhere and it worked. I went back early Nov 2023 for some quesadillas. Service by Claudia was amazing, and my order arrived in 4 minutes. Impressive, even though it was a small order. Ambience was nice, although I did not eat in. Quesadillas: 3/5 Rice was just okay. Dip: 2/5. It was really sour; like super. Couldn’t eat it. I’ll probably return some day to try something else. Wheelchair accessibility: Accessibility is really up to the mall itself. Both escalators and lifts have been out of service all at once, and with no way for disabled persons to know beforehand, sadly. And for long. Service: Take out Meal type: Other Price per person: £10–20 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4"

"The food came from the Dog and Fox inn, bradford on avon They are owned/run by the same family The pub (the 6 bells is a great venue With a big skittle alley (where food was laid out , the bar in the front room, and a wonderful dog friendly garden outback it was the perfect place for a wake. I was able to choose what music was played (All my mums favourite songs! and had time to set up a monitor with a slide show of photos of my mum. It was a really lovely day, with lovely staff, great drinks, wonderful food, and to top it off perfect weather. I'm so grateful to Tom and Clive for providing great food and a great venue for the day."

"This place needs a bit of a revamp. It is aldo a little cramped for our patty of 8. I had the escovich fish, to be honest it was a bit disappointing. I expected the fish to be seasoned up with onions pepper and the trimmings, but it was ok but not what I was expecting. The food was good and service too. The drinks seemed a little light on the alcohol content. They had no card machine, which was a bit inconvenient, but the cashpoint was not too far away. Parking was good managed to park more or less outside. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £40–50 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Curried Goat, Caribbean Soup"

"Your restaurant came highly recommended and the food and wine was absolutely superb. Unfortunately this is where the great experience ended as we have never been made to feel so uncomfortable in a restaurant by the people serving us, to the point that we couldn't wait to pay the bill and leave! We were the first table in the evening at 5pm and were seated right by the bar but we struggled to get eye contact with the staff who were either chatting behind the bar or staring into space. At no point did they ask us if everything was ok or if we wanted another drink. We tried to engage them in some chatter when they served us but to no avail. I don't know if in someway we offended them but we really could not work out what we had done wrong to be treated this way. Unfortunately we will not be returning, which is a shame as the food is excellent. Fortunately our evening was not completely spoiled as a visit to the local community centre in Nairn found us invited to a Ceilidh and a very warm welcome and fun evening."

"After reading the reviews online my partner decided to bring me here to celebrate my new job. First impressions were bad, it’s extremely deceptive compared to how it’s pictured on the website, it’s very dark and gloomy, there was no obvious sign outside, especially as we came in the dark so we drove past it twice. The sign outside could do with some light decor. Prior to coming to Mango Room my partner called to book the table and informed them of my new job celebration and had asked the waitress if she could make the table look somewhat fancy/different to the other tables as a surprise for me in which she agreed to doing. When we arrived he asked her where the table was and she said “pick whatever table you want” meaning she completely disregarded his request. After receiving the menu that was broken and looked extremely cheap and flimsy for the prices they charge, I also realised the food was very overpriced. I asked the waitress for the set menu and she said that only gets provided for groups of people over 10. It didn’t state that on the website and can be misconstrued as false advertisement. I can not believe for one small portioned size jerk chicken it cost £13 alone you then have to pay extra for a side which is around 3.50 4.00. When reluctantly ordering the food which was Jerk chicken rice peas, we also requested coleslaw and dumplings, the waitress replied “we don’t do coleslaw or dumplings here, the owner doesn’t like it” ... it’s not about what the owner doesn’t like it’s about your food audience. How can you run a Caribbean restaurant without coleslaw or dumplings? It’s key in West Indian food. I found that to be very obscured. The waitress then said “it’s fine dining, we don’t do that here”... I did not know consuming dumplings and coleslaw meant it was not fine dining. Whilst waiting for my food, I asked for some water the waitress brought out a jug of water which seemed to have a booger stain on the side, very very off putting. When the food eventually came out in which waiting time wasn’t long because the restaurant wasn’t busy, the plates were extremely hot, it seemed as though the chef just reheated/microwaved the rice and peas causing the dish within itself to be piping hot to the point where I couldn’t even hold it and had to messily dish out the rice myself with the small spoon provided. The rice and peas were extremely overcooked and stodgy, there was hardly any gravy with the jerk chicken. The jerk chicken was undercooked, had no flavour whatsoever and did not fall of the bone with basic sweet pepper slice and red onions for decoration. The plantain was extremely undercooked, very burnt on the outside and tasted wet, clumpy and soggy on the inside I’ve never tasted plantain so renk. The waitress did give us complimentary tulip glasses of champagne, which was nice. My partner did say that he enjoyed his curry goat which was very tender, he had that with plain rice. Overall I feel this restaurant is extremely overrated, extortionate and wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. The only pros were the company I had and leaving. I would’ve much preferred going turtle bay, the atmosphere and decor is so much better and you get your monies worth. Turtle Bay is extremely commercial so this is a huge compliment to them as I’m not too fond of them either."

"I recently stayed at this restaurant for 3 nights and had an amazing experience. I tried the pork curry on the first night and the Sunday roast with lamb on another night, both of which were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend staying here or stopping by for the amazing food. Thank you to Jazz for the wonderful service! The price per person ranges from £20-30 and I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all as a 5. I especially recommend trying the Jamaican Style Spicy Chicken Wings."

"I had heard a lot of good things about this restaurant, so I decided to check it out. One thing that surprised me was the HMC notice outside, but there was no certificate inside indicating when they were certified halal. There was also no sign indicating that the restaurant served halal food, as one would expect. I decided to order the mixed grill platter, which came in a pizza box because they had run out of containers. Unfortunately, the mixed grill was not good. The kebabs seemed to be frozen Lola kebabs, the tikkas were not marinated thoroughly and were too tough and slightly undercooked. The malai chicken was similar in taste, while the green chicken was the only flavorful item. Overall, the food lacked flavor and was unpleasant. I also ordered bhel, which was not authentic. However, the paani puri was delicious with the right flavors, good value for money, and was fresh. I do not plan on returning to this restaurant, and my "average" rating is quite generous."

"I had a rough start with this restaurant as I never received a response after sending two emails to book a table and confirm. It was disappointing to find that they did not have any Nepalese beer available, which I always expect to see on the menu. The Everest lamb curry was supposed to be hot but was actually quite mild. Despite these issues, the staff were very polite and helpful. We also ordered lamb momo to go, which was a big disappointment. Only two of them were edible, the rest were hard and lacked filling, resembling more like samosas. At £5.95 each, this was not a good value. Overall, while I understand that times are tough in the hospitality industry, restaurants need to improve their quality in order to ensure customers return."

"If you don't know, then you NEED to know! Hands down one of the best Jamaican restaurants in Bristol. Large portion sizes and every bite is packed full of flavour! I had the Jerk chicken, oxtail and peppered steak it was out of this WORLD! All the dishes are served in front of you and it just makes you want to have them all! I can't believe I've only just found out about this place after all these years of trying out most of Bristol's caribbean restaurants! I will be back for sure! The service was great too!! Quick, efficient and friendly. Thank you so much!"

"love the location, and the ambience of the venue- the food was faultless and very tasty I was there with friends for an evening meal.....it was perhaps a little quiet, but very good for conversation without shouting at each other to be heard. My only criticism is that perhaps the waiting staff need a little more training in the customer service department not overly knowledgeable about the food content and how spicy it was, and quite difficult to attract attention . (I used to be a waitress... But the overall experience was very good."

"Popped in here whilst travelling through the area because there was a sign outside that they were dog friendly, had such a great experience that we will now be using this place as a destination in future. Lots of lovely little touches that made our visit great, such as being seated and our dog immediately being given a bowl of water. Then when out drinks were brought out they also brought out a bowl of chicken for our four legged best friend (they checked first) When we settled the bill, we were pleasantly surprised with low the bill was less than £15 for two drinks, two cakes and a bowl of chicken for the dog! Everybody who worked there was smiling and a pleasure to speak with. If you're thinking of visiting this place, please do! Such a lovely little gem! Dog friendly, dog friendly cafe, afternoon tea, afternoon tea dog friendly, well priced Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options Kid friendliness: Very friendly"
