Stopped in at short notice for lunch on Sunday veggie nut roast, reggae roast chicken, kids cheeseburger and a fish and chips... all great and reasonably priced. A real gem.

Really great hotel. The staff are so friendly and went above and beyond to help us. The room was spacious and clean. The whole pub felt so homely and welcoming. The rum punch was amazing as well. Highly reccommend!

This small pub is a hidden gem on the A275, with a lovely man named Jazz running the show. The room was excellent, with a comfy bed and spacious bathroom. The Jamaican menu was delicious, especially the goat curry. The bill was very reasonable and we would definitely return. Highly recommend this place! View menu

My friends and I decided to stop at this pub while taking a walk from Lewes and back, and we were delighted with the delicious Jamaican food. The squash and mushroom creole was excellent, and the chicken and spinach curry had just the right amount of spice. The service was outstanding. We will definitely be coming back.

This pub is incredibly inviting and unique. The standout feature here is the fantastic Jamaican cuisine. Our large group sampled the goat, lamb curry, pepper steak, fish of the day, chicken and spinach curry, and fish and chips, and all dishes were excellent! The owner is welcoming and great with children. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Excellent dining experience with great music and attentive staff. I highly recommend trying the curry goat as the flavor is exceptional. The sticky toffee pudding was also a standout, with a real pudding texture rather than just cake and sauce. The roasts on the menu looked tempting as well. We were a group of very wet horribly muddy walkers on a Coronation Hike, yet still received a very warm and friendly greeting. Nothing was too much trouble, tables were even hastily rearranged to accommodate us, because we were a bigger group than initially booked. Fabulous Carribbean food, accompanied by some superb ales, no wonder it got very busy! Top notch, many thanks to everyone there.

I recently stayed at this restaurant for 3 nights and had an amazing experience. I tried the pork curry on the first night and the Sunday roast with lamb on another night, both of which were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend staying here or stopping by for the amazing food. Thank you to Jazz for the wonderful service! The price per person ranges from £20-30 and I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all as a 5. I especially recommend trying the Jamaican Style Spicy Chicken Wings.

I have been passing by this restaurant for years without stopping, but finally made time to visit today for my birthday meal. The curry goat was absolutely amazing, my wife's pork chop was huge, tender, and perfectly cooked. My son's steak was delicious and my daughter claimed the cheeseburger was the best she's ever had. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and willing to answer any questions. They also had a great selection of local beers. It was great to see a small local restaurant bustling with customers.
