Toasty bread with melted cheese, a classic comfort.

"in price for what it is. I brought my child to five guys. I'm not sure what I expected, but what I got was not. I ordered a hotdog, chips and shake, my child got a grilled cheese sandwich chips and shake. hotdog was not very special, and really small, as it cost over £4 and my kids grilled cheese was sick and stodgy. it is the type of food that I would have expected to sell from a trailer on a Sunday morning boat. the staff was friendly enough and the place was quite clean. I'm not going back, though I can get better quality elsewhere. I have attached a picture of our meal, which costs over 25 pounds."

"When I walked Into the restaurant I noticed the small menu and the ridiculous amount of posters containing ads some inappropriate for young children) after we ordered my friend noticed he had charged me for 2 cheese toasties, we got that sorted out however we then noticed the chef who made my cheese toastie scratched his bum. I don't like to be a Karen but I thought it was ridiculous, so I asked for it done again.so we got our food and sat down to a greasy barley melted cheese toastie, a discussing burger and the saltiest chips ever. After 2 chips the top of my mouth was burning) Not to mention the diet coke way to syrup. Once we had eaten the slop. we went to the bathroom and noticed we needed a code from the recite which we binned and the worker wouldn't let us in after we explained. Usually I don't write a review but I felt compelled to warn whoever is reading this review and I hope you find my review helpful PS: I forgot to say how expensive this meal was £25) which is is unbelievable fr a bag of chips, a burger, a cheese toastie and two SMALL drinks."

"This place is truly a gem. As a native of the northern region with deep roots in Kent, this restaurant brings me back to my origins. The food is fantastic - I tried the Bison Pie (a departure from my usual fare) and it was delicious! They also have a great variety of real ales that are always top-notch. The staff is friendly and incredibly efficient. If you appreciate wholesome food and a welcoming atmosphere, you definitely need to check this place out. It's worth the train ticket just to experience it."

"five youngs is a fantastic place to eat while it can be expensive, eating is worth definitiw, by far and away miles better then mcdonald’s. the personal is super helpful and always ensures that the place looks clean, the staff who prepare the food, make sure that the gloves are changed regularly and if necessary. the food was prepared very quickly and packed in the typical five youngs fashion, burger in foil. the portions of the chips are huge, the pocket fill!"

"So glad to have found this gem! Couldn’t have been more impressed! Absolutely beautiful building with amazing decor and lots of plants inside, very Instagram friendly if that’s what you’re looking for. We were greeted with amazing service, and they had great allergen knowledge and where happy to explain everything I could eat on the menu. Everything is vegan (so all dairy free) and they were able to make great gluten free substitutions. Best gluten free bread I’ve ever had in a restaurant. And the vegan cheese, oh wow, It’s the first vegan cheese to fully satisfy this blue cheese lover! My sister and mum enjoyed amazing warm pastry’s and couldn’t believe they were vegan. Even the drinks were lovely with hot fresh apple with lots of cinnamon. And I would say all at a very reasonable price for the portions and quality you receive. Will definitely be a repeat customer"

"Bought a cheese and ham slice and traditional beef pastie. I was asked if I would like my slice warming up and said not if it was going to be soggy with grease. Same conversation for the pastie. The slice was heated to such an extent that it had to be double wrapped so as it could be safely handled. Unfortunately the slice was soaked in fat, floppy and looked more like a piece of bread soaked in fat. Absolutely repulsive. The shop assistant said I was being aggressive when I complained about it, which I wasn't and initially refused to do anything. Eventually I got a refund. The pastie was only marginally better. The table outside was filthy, we wiped it outself with handwipes. All in all, as poor an establishment as we've been too in a long while."

"We were lucky enough to experience the taster menu twice last year, a wonderful experience which has stayed in our memory. This year we visited Wheelers with a couple of friends for lunch, unfortunately due to timings we were unable to book for the taster menu in the evening. The restaurant was very busy, but we had booked well in advance for our table of 4. Service initially was a little rushed, but still friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food, once again, was sensational, everything from crab cakes which apparently have been on the menu for 25 years), cod, served with gazpacho, lobster lasagne, sea trout, perfectly cooked scallops, Oriental prawn and scallop dumplings, beautiful fresh Whitstable native oysters and the list goes on... As if this wasn't enough, a myriad of delights on the deli counter on the way out. We could never tire of this place, or the innovative new dishes or even the old faithfuls). Just wish we were closer to Whitstable! One not to miss."

"My first visit to the Nottingham location was unfortunately disappointing. The lady who served me was not very helpful, as I requested a burger meal and she told me they did not offer that option. I eventually figured out the ordering process on my own. I ended up ordering for 2 adults and 2 kids, with the suggestion of getting 2 extra large chips which was far too much food. Additionally, the drink machine was broken, so we did not have any drinks. The total bill came to £60, which was more than expected for the quality of food we received. The worst part was the cleanliness of the restaurant. The tables were dirty and the floor in the toilets was wet with no locks on the cubicle doors. Overall, not a great experience."

"If the food is that good, I'm moving to Argentina! Honestly, I would argue until I'm blue in the face about my local steakhouse being the best in Norfolk, but this place has just blown it away by a mile! We didn't have a reservation, but we were warmly welcomed and seated right away, and I'm so glad they did! The waitstaff was exceptional - friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and quick to recommend amazing dishes, especially their Chimichurri sauce, which was delicious! The owner even stopped by our table to chat, and you could feel his love and passion for the restaurant. We may have disagreed on Messi vs Maradona, but it didn't detract from the overall fantastic experience. Thank you for turning our underwhelming visit to Brighton around - we love food and dining out, and we couldn't be more impressed! Best wishes for continued success in the future!"

"Great wee place, is more like a cafe than a bistro. Tried the tomato, garlic and black bean soup was nice, not sure where the garlic was though. The Orkney cheddar quiche, was also nice and had a lovely salad with it. The cherry bakewell and custard was very nice, though it was a tiny pot of custard that accompanied it. Coffee okay, but a little bitter. Nice little find and would visit again, you do need to book during peak hours though."

"Highly recommend. Myself, wife, and toddler when there for a lunch. Large potions and really good food, we especially like the chips, had to order some more. The place has as wonderful pitch patch decor. A mix of classical paintings and cottage core. We thought a young child might cause problems for other guests and staff, but I can't praise them enough for being accommodating and helpful. Special kudos to Lee (I hope I remembered the name correctly) who was especially helpful. Big tips well deserved."

"Table of 7, put upstairs on two tables which we moved together. Service slapdash, to say the least. Very pleasant girl who showed us to our table but really torn faced waiter who was very vocal in his feelings about not having his break... Food was mediocre some good (seafood salad) and some not. Chicken looked as if it had been reheated a couple of times. Won’t be back. There are plenty decent restaurants in Whitby."

"We were on a family holiday in Hereford and had our Christmas lunch at the Angel 25th Dec 2016. What a great find! We received a lovely warm welcome from all the staff. The relaxed atmosphere was just what we were looking for. Proper food with very generous portions. Would recommend to anyone looking for a cosy, friendly, family orientated pub. Thanks and all the best for a successful year ahead!"
"I have never had a bad meal at this restaurant. Unlike most fast food restaurants, they cook your meat fresh to order instead of using pre-cooked beef patties. The portions are large, with a generous amount of chips, refillable drinks, and big burgers with a variety of fillings such as mushrooms, onions, sauces, lettuce, and tomatoes. Some may say it is "too expensive", but I strongly disagree. The quality is better than any other restaurant burger I have ever had, and it is actually cheaper than others I have seen. While it may be more expensive than a typical fast food burger, you definitely get what you pay for. I am happy to pay a few extra pounds for better quality, and many others feel the same way."

"We visited for an early evening music slot and enjoyed both the performance (Lee Bardsley and India Shan Merritt) and the venue. Nom is a comfortable place to be with a good range of drinks, including cocktails. The only negative (minus 1 star) was the lack of bar food, which was limited to small, but well filled bowls of unsalted cashews and peanuts. We noticed that other customers also enquired about food, so I expect that there's a demand Nom stops serving meals at 4.00pm which makes sense when you're closing at 5.00pm, but this happens even on their late opening days (Thurs, Fri, Sat). So, Nom is a nice place to visit with an attractive menu (unsampled by us), good service and a relaxed atmosphere just don't expect to eat after last orders at 4.00pm."
