Tender and flaky grilled sea bass, seasoned to perfection, offering a delightful taste of the sea.

"authentic Indian food and reasonable prices. one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever been. loved every single court I have tried so far in this restaurant and would definitely visit again in the near future. some dishes are on the spicy side, although for those who can not take a spicy, then they need to be careful with what they order."

"We went for an early dinner with friends before heading to the theatre. The restaurant opened at 5pm and we had made a reservation for that time. Our arrival seemed to catch the staff off guard, but they were still friendly and accommodating. Our drinks were served promptly. The starters of whitebait and asparagus were a bit heavy, with the whitebait being breaded instead of battered, which was a letdown. However, the main course of seafood linguine with white wine sauce, recommended by our waitress, was fantastic. The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the seafood, a mix of mussels, squid, clams and prawns, was cooked just right and lightly seasoned. The steamed spinach on the side was also cooked to perfection and not overdone."

"Maison du Mezze at first appears to be well decorated eluding a soft ambiance, good music and inviting smiles. I was sourly disappointed in the quality of food. The starters were sadly the highlight. We were served a range of cold mezzes which were tasty. The hot starters included kibbeh and well grilled softened halloumi. All satisfying. I must say that there was nothing special about the lentil soup, I guess it was foreshadowing the blandness to come. The mains were in all aspects of the term, tasteless. We had kabsa and another fish rice dish. The rice was dry, the fish rubbery and the lamb ok. Finally, our desert, I have never seen the word be so misused. We had a very cold, bland, textureless rice pudding. The disappointment after a long list of let downs was obvious on my face when a lovely waiter came to ask if everything was ok. The other desert was immemorable. Frankly, I would give this place 2 stars, but the service was excellent and the decor divine."

"Afternoon tea was not the best experience. We were kept waiting at the door for about 10 minutes for some unexplained reason for a start, although we had a booking. Tea consisted of 3 sandwiches, two of them tiny, a cupcake, 2 scones (why 2, I don 't know), a tiny pot of chocolate something, a square inch of fruit cake, tiny smoothie and a hot drink, for £29.95. Champagne was £10 extra. There was a question on the booking form about dietary requirements, so I noted that I was vegetarian, but I was told at the table that there 's no vegetarian option! Why ask then?? I therefore could only eat one of sandwiches, which were all on spongy mass produced bread . Everything came to the table at the same time, including the coffee and tea which was luke warm on arrival, so we had champagne, a smoothie and hot drink all together. Also, a substantial service charge is added to the bill, so for three people it was over £123!! Appalling price for minute, low quality food!"

"Ordered a whole cake, had confirmation that the order was ready to pick up, store supervisor seems clueless what to do when he didn’t have the cake. Supervisor and staff are not trained, no manager around. Instead of full cake we got slices of cake, and only half the cake but in slices as the supervisor is not able to do maths. (Again not trained) Had to go back and complain, in the end a very stressful and unpleasant experience when you pay premium prices"

"to the time of booking, sitting at our table, beautiful angular position but table very small. the waitress was very loud, took a drink and forgot the table water. had to ask twice. the starters quickly came out, but had nibble on the table that we had to move, as it was not cleared. the mains came out quickly, and again the precursors were not removed. the food was ok. filet bark was very nice and perfectly cooked the chicken in brothcrumbs was very disappointing until my partner did not at least stay the half left. no talk about why with employees and boards without question clarified. nicer place to eat average service bad! will not go back. pity. birthday party"

"Ohh new Lebanese Restaurant in Bental shopping centre. Lunch 3 course menu is the way to go here although not cheapest for £14,95 but definitely with the price. The restaurant is beautifully designed and the portions here are very generous. Staff is friendly and service fast. Only downsize in my opinion are the high a la cart prices and the food was slightly over salted but that’s only my personal opinion. Would recommend everyone to try out this place for yourself."

"Firstly Little Istanbul has changed owners a few months back and is now called the NAR Meze Grill. The restaurant has had a face lift and the food and service are now excellent. This means that all previous reviews for Little Istanbul no longer apply, including some of the more negative comments. I had a late Sunday lunch with a girlfriend, we enjoyed a very pleasant bottle of chilled Pinot Rose before tucking in to starters and mains. As neither of use eat meat we ordered dishes from the good vegetarian selection but there is also a wide choice of fish and meat. Too full for a pudding."

"At last, a local well presented clean and friendly eatery. The food is in competition with the staff both striving for excellence, and they don't fall short. Recommend the salt beef and burgers, tough choice. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Highly highly recommend. I have NO affiliation with the venue or staff."

"We had a last-minute family gathering and were pleasantly surprised by the great service at this restaurant! We needed a place where both children and adults could enjoy themselves, and we were given a private room next to the bar that easily accommodated all of us. The bar staff were fantastic, showing the children how to play shuffleboard and guiding them to the board games. They were very accommodating and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Nick, the bartender, was especially charming. We appreciate the hard work of everyone at the restaurant who always exceed expectations to make guests feel welcome. We will definitely be returning in the future!"

"There are far fewer Indian restaurants, as opposed to takeaways, local to us. Sometimes you just would rather eat out. We gave Spice Island a try and it did not disappoint: the Onion Bhajis were crisp, spicy and light and, speaking of light, the Nan Bread was amongst the lightest we have ever known delightful! The Dansak was spicy yet still had that essential sweetness while my personal 'acid test ', the Chicken Vindaloo was hot but not mental, the chicken nicely cooked and the potatoes not over present up there with the best. Service was good but not obsequious and the decor rather smart. We reckon to go to Spice Island at least once a month from now on."

"Always reliable, pleasant French, wide menu, but not confusing so, atmospheric dining room and good value. I particularly like that they have a wide selection of wines available from glass, carafe or bottle for (more or less) the same price per liter."

"I have used thefork postings for afternoon tea for many occasions, this time I also booked (caffe concerto) intention was for afternoon tea. However, when we went to the restaurant, they said that the ones we booked the place was 3 minutes further on the road, not this. when we arrived at the right place, I show them the bookings on my phone, they said oh his only normal booking, nothing special. on the menu on the afternoon tee section, there was no price range from what thefork had advertised, so we decided to go for the stock pasta selection instead. the whole idea of going there was looking forward to the afternoon tee. that has disappointed us. the pasta was in order, then we wanted to try the chocolate meal, that was most disappointed, the chocolate sauce was on the outside, instead of being in the middle, the sponge was a bit gummy. all in all we spent almost 90 pounds for a lunch. I'm sure I could eat better and get a better one if we had it in harrods. Yes, everything we felt was disappointed. only the girl served us was amazing."

"We ate here on New Year's Eve after booking through open table a couple of days earlier . Nearby restaurants weren't busy so were didnt know what to expect. We were met by a very friendly waitress who showed us to our table. The restaurant was full had a live singer for background music. As it was New Years Eve it was a 3 course set menu but there were options if you didn't want Turkish food. The meal was delicious and the portions were very generous. During the meal the music changed a belly dancer came out later in the night some diners joined in with some Turkish dancing. The atmosphere was great, the services attentive and we would certainly go back."

"I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at the Italian restaurant in London run by chef Fabrizio. The atmosphere of the restaurant is elegant and refined, but at the same time welcoming and friendly. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect, from the furnishings to the plating of the dishes to the quality of the food. The cuisine is simply superlative and unexpected, considering the tendency of Italian restaurants abroad to disappoint expectations. Here, however, I was able to taste excellent raw materials and authentic dishes that made me feel as if I were back in Italy. (Even the tagliatelle are homemade! Maurizio, the restaurant manager, made my experience even more special by recommending the perfect wine to accompany the dishes and explaining every detail with passion and competence. The restaurant is located in a particular boutique hotel frequented by an educated and refined clientele, in a very beautiful area of London and easily reachable even by public transport which continues until late at night. I cannot fail to mention the tiramisu, a true masterpiece that I have never eaten even in Italy. Chef Fabrizio's ability to combine innovation and Italian tradition while respecting the raw materials is truly commendable. In conclusion, I highly recommend this restaurant to all lovers of good Italian cuisine who wish to have an authentic and unforgettable gastronomic experience in London."

"I’ve been here before and they always seen to run out of sea bass but on this occasion was not the case which was great! I love the tapas options which I ended up getting with friends as the whole meal before but they also have main options to choose from but they are limited for a non meat eater like myself, but this is not a problem for me. I will definitely return. I love that it is nice and local. Only wish they took Amex.."

"Having lived in London 33 years, I knew this restaurant existed, always wanted to visit, now I regret not coming sooner. There are thousands of trendy, go to places in this city, most are all style over substance. This place gives a you a warm Cypriot/Greek hug, rarely found these days. No frills or fanciness, they know what they are doing and do it well. It is like stepping back in time but that is not a bad thing. It makes you feel like and old friend you met in a taverna in Ayia Napa. The food is as Greek/Cypriot as you can get. Generous, well cooked and delicious. The Dolmades are divine but the Kleftiko is the star, a very slow cooked large piece of lamb cooked till it completely falls off the bone.Rice is cooked in stock with tiny slivers of pasta. To be honest it is all of a very high standard. The prices are extremely reasonable. This is not art on a plate. You will need a hefty appetite, leaving full, satisfied with a warm glow, The music will stay in your head and adds to the atmosphere. I brought a friend for his birthday on Thursday lunch, decided to return yesterday with another friend, both loved it.The staff are welcoming, lovely and a joy. This place is just what it says on the tin. If any one criticizes they have never eaten great food in a Greek/Cypriot restaurant before.."
