"I recently visited Smoky Boys and was thoroughly impressed. The chips with Cajun salt were a delightful start—crispy and seasoned to perfection. The Smokey Bad Boy Burger (beef) lived up to its reputation, with the Bad Boy Suicide Sauce adding a fiery kick that made each bite irresistible. At £15 for both the fries and burger, it was money well spent. I'll definitely be returning again and again for this flavorful experience."

"A beautiful pub with friendly staff and a brilliant ambiance, it feels like a high end local pub so I can't fault it there. The seasonal vegetable soup was excellent, but we did have to remind them to supply us with the vegan butter. However the Tofish and chips was a let down, whilst the chips, sauce and peas part of the meal was wonderful the fish part left me disappointed. It consisted of a small block of tofu that had been half battered and wasn't even half the size the picture on here suggested. It just came across as a bit stingy and effortless for £13.50. We had the chocolate tart for pudding and the pastry needed a chisel to get through which was a shame its it was beautifully presented and tasted great. It's also brilliant to see that all three puddings were suitable for vegans. I can't speak for the other meals as they are what we both had, I really wanted to give this place a good review. Something to note is that they no longer have a dedicated vegan menu, instead they are scattered through the main menu but are clearly marked and titled."

"Right off the bat, the staff are clueless. Lacking the very basic essense of professionalism, we were greeted by a depressed at best lady in uniform tapping away at her phone. When asked about the menu, she simply pointed at a general direction and continued doing whatever it was she was doing. (Okay... Needless to say, the service itself was suicide inducing. Some bot on this platform said something about the food compensating for the shyt service. WHERE. Dont f ing waste your time, forget the money, just avoid this wretched cesspit."

"We spent a month at Bradbury hall in May 2022. Because we were long term our room was not cleaned properly. The shower had mold in the corners. There was dust ball underneath the trash can in the bathroom. Also the bedroom floor was not vacumed. There was a night club opened on Friday and Saturday night. With large groups of young adults. The noise was terrible.banging on the doors singing and shouting in the hallways. The first weekend this happened, my husband complained to the front desk. They said because we were staying a long time we had been put in the wrong area of the hotel. But because they didn't have working elevator I couldn't climb stairs. The second week this happened the hotel was even worse a large number of men kept every other customer up all night. Partying in different rooms. Drinking and playing music shouting. I was in tears I was so tired. When we complained, they told us oh yes they had a different kind of clients at the weekends. I wanted to check out of the hotel. But the hotel had taken the whole amounts of money out of our account. But we will never stay at this hotel again, the good reviews I read must have been during the week when the night club was closed."

"As locals, we are thrilled to see The Stag reopen. We visited last night for our second meal in the two weeks since the owners started serving food. Steve and Oliver have worked hard to make the pub look stunning, and they have found an incredible Chef in Scott. The food on both occasions was impeccable, well presented, and absolutely delicious. The homemade beer bread and white chocolate fudge with chocolate soil were delightful touches. Congratulations to Steve and Oliver, we eagerly anticipate many more meals at The Stag."

"Despite works going on(installing a new music system), the service was good, a great pint of real ale. The 1st pint pulled was not up to scratch, he could have just served it anyway, but threw it away and pulled a fresh pint. Fell upon the small but delightful pub from an old sign on the canal walk. It's a shame they don't serve food until Wednesday, but I would definitely visit again! Price per person: £1–10 Service: 5"

"I appreciated the option of avocado toast since I wasn't in the mood for a large meal. It came with a hard-boiled egg, which I thought would have been better if it were soft-boiled. However, the balsamic reduction was delicious, and the thinly sliced radish added a nice touch. The fries were also excellent; I swapped them for home fries, and that was a great choice. My sister got the home fries with her pork eggs Benedict, but they didn't look crispy, and I prefer my potatoes crispy, so I was glad I chose the fries. She let me try a bite of her pork eggs Benedict, and it was delicious. My mom ordered an egg on toast, which came on a large slice of brioche, and she had a side of hollandaise sauce. My dad opted for the chicken and waffle sandwich, which was enormous! He really enjoyed it and finished the whole thing. We also got a side of bacon for the table, which was fantastic—super crispy with a nice hickory flavor. Overall, it’s a cute spot, but I was hoping for more menu options. My sister visits here for brunch regularly, and they offer bottomless drinks, though we didn't indulge this time. Next time I come, I’ll definitely try the bottomless option!"

"My partner and I visited this pub on a recent holiday. The hosts own the pub, as well as the fabulous holiday accommodation we stayed in (look it up, it's in Meshaw). We had a two course Sunday lunch, the food was divine and hands down the best roast we had ever eaten out and would rival any top food restaurant! The portion sizes were generous and quality of the food and presentation was excellent, we didn't hesitate to devour every last mouthful. We also had a delicious bottle of red that paired the food perfectly and was fairly priced. The hosts couldn't have been more friendly and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. You could easily drive by this pub, as at the moment it is being rethatched, but don't be put off, as inside it has been sympathetically restored and oozes old warn charm. Thank you Steve, Oliver and team, we will definelty be back when in the area! Don't drive by this fabulous gem, you will regret it!!"

"In my early 20's, going to The Dining Car at 2am after a night out was the move. The breakfast always hit the spot. It's been several years since I visited and the food quality and service has not changed. We arrived around 10:30 in the morning. There were a couple people ahead of us, but it didn't look like too long of a wait so we stuck around. Once seated, our waiter took our drink orders while we looked over the menu. I was surprised to see avocado toast, which isn't an item I remember being available before. All in all, it had great flavor but the bread was too soft/soggy. I think it was partly due to the abundance of EVOO drizzled on the avocado. I loved the sun dried tomato flavored bread, though. Definitely a nice touch. I asked for scrambled eggs, and while they were good, I should have requested cheese mixed in. The home fries were hot and crispy. Unlimited refills on coffee and excellent service. The bakery items looked exquisite, and I'd like to come back to purchase a cake for my next special occasion."

"Dining here is an incredible experience. My steak is cooked to perfection on a hot stone, allowing for a personalized taste. Overall, it's a unique and enjoyable atmosphere that offers a refreshing change from the typical restaurant scene. However, my only concern was the wait time. It's difficult to gauge this since we visited during Valentine's week, and I understand that many establishments are still struggling with COVID-related challenges. We enjoyed a three-course menu and spent about 2.5 hours there. It took a while to have our orders taken and to request the bill at the end. Perhaps implementing an online ordering and payment system could help? Although we could scan a QR code to view the menu, it felt a bit discouraging to wait for staff to come by after deciding what we wanted. That said, once our orders were taken, the food was served promptly. I certainly don’t mean to be disrespectful to the staff; they were very friendly and accommodating. However, it did seem like they could have used a few more team members, as the restaurant was fully booked and they had many tables to manage."
