"he personal was beautiful and has included our needs. we came into a large group and they could put us and do this with a smile. my only chewing gum would be the odd proportion of yogurt on granola (even tee spoon yogurt on all pieces of granola). Of course, it was dry although my friend did not have the mut to ask me so that it is really on her.Worth a visit and quite charming I would say."

"The food was average to good and the tv ice was horrendous. We went here the last night before lockdown for my dads birthday and was utterly disappointed. We had to wait at least mins at the entrance to even be noticed. Once...noticed they were miserable and just strolled across to the table. We had minimal service if not any to be perfectly honest. They bought the main course over before taking the starter plates away. They never asked if our food was ok and my dads steak was blue when he had asked for it to be medium but decided to have it anyway on the basis he couldn’t get anyone’s attention. They didn’t have of the things on the menu and it’s quite a small menu to start with. The only thing they did right was bring a birthday plate over for pudding which I had phoned up about before but had to remind the waiter for it as they had forgotten. They then automatically add service charge into the bill which we did reduce due to the lack of service and the waitress asked why we were not paying the full service charge we explained and she didn’t even seem to care. WILL NOT BE RETURNING ANY TIME SOON."

"Situated just off the M6, this is a perfect stopping place to avoid motorway service menus if you're on a long haul to Scotland. I had a Geordie bon-bon starter and steak and ale pie as a main. But the menu had lots of choice and there were lots of others I could have chosen with equal enthusiasm. Beers and ambience were great too."

"I would say having been coming to the Pancake Place over the last 10 years, once every other month, it has sadly went very badly down hill. My wife and I visited with our 12 year old daughter. On arrival we were seated quickly and our drinks order taken within a few minutes. We received our drinks 2 diet pepsi which were not fizzy (clearly issue with draft) and a smoothie which was very tasty and refreshing. There were maybe about 4 or 5 tables occupied, so for a lunchtime I thought why is it so quet . Anyway, my wife and daughter both ordered the macaroni and I ordered the fish and chips. We received our food within about 5 6 mins which made me question that alot of the food must have just been simply reheated! The macaroni was insipid and lacked seasoning and my fish was about half the size of the normal portion I was used to getting. I questioned this with the server and he went to the kitchen only to return to advise that they can 't control the size of the portions they receive from their supplier!? The fish was definitely small enough to be a child 's portion. I requested why don 't they just give me an extra portion of the fish to which he replied. Sorry can 't do that but we can remove the meal from your bill . They did ask if I would like an alternative from the menu but by this point my wife and daughter had already eaten half of their meal so I wasn 't willing to make them wait any longer. In addition to this we were not given any cutlery until after we were served our food. Both my wife and daughter said they did not enjoy their food but it was edible. I returned my plate to the kitchen and received a credit off the bill. Sorry but £12 for what was basically a kids portion of fish, a handful of chips and a rotten looking side salad, it is very overpriced for what you get. None of us will be returning here. Quite sad really given it was always such a friendly, busy and quality cafe. Owners please do better!"

"I had recently moved to Finedon and we went for a family meal on a Sunday! The roast dinners are amazing!! The food was really lovely including the starters we had, I went for pate and it was great and perfect amount. We all had a large roast and honestly after couldn’t eat another thing, this was a little sad as I saw the dessert menu and going by the rest of the food I have high hopes!! We can’t wait to go back and try something different, including the desserts!!"

"First time visiting, we went with friends who’ve been before they live in York but we live miles away. First impressions are just an average looking pub from the outside. Mind you, this was November so wasn’t looking its summary best. However, inside...was really well decorated and had a lovely cosy look and feel to it. The staff were all professional, welcoming and friendly big plus points for that in my book. We started with a few drinks (all great) then onto food which was REALLY good! Well presented, great portion sizes and so so tasty All for a very reasonable price too!"

"I've never been to mexiko, so I don't know how authentic Mexican cuisine tastes. but whatever chimichanga served was exotic. my four-year-old loved his child's meal. enchilada that I ordered was delicious and more than enough for one like me, who is not a pecker. we have crossed the left side and my son has restored every bite to it the next day. so much that now, when we go to the xscape mall, he asks for enchiladas instead of fritten or burgers."

"It's nice because you have to be 18 or over to enter the building. The food is great and the Sunday lunch is outstanding the staff are always friendly. You can spend time on the tables before or after your meal. I just like it there. We took our friends for Sunday lunch and although they are local it was the first time they had eaten in Clarys they thought it was great and said they would definitely eat there again, so all in all a great experience."

"I 've been here many times when my boat is moored in the area. I was looking forward to having a quiet lunch in a dog friendly place on a very hot day. The woman who served me I recognised as she had been my server many times before. The thing that struck me is despite saying I 've been here often I 'm always treated like a stranger I think a great to have you back goes a long way. The place was very quiet in terms of customers but it was so noisy ! Not their fault that building work was next door which made sitting outside unbearable , but when I struggled to bring my 3 dogs and food inside there was no offer to help. It was also very noisy inside and there was a big box of rubbish in front of the ladies loo that just seemed to sit there with no purpose, I finally asked if they could move the rubbish so I could use the loo and the woman seemed put out. My dirty plate sat around too long and the staff didn 't ask if I enjoyed my meal or if I wanted anything else. So considering how empty it was I felt my presence was a nuisance. My dogs were well behaved and when I asked for a water bowl I had to share with another dog then when a third dog came along they took my bowl away. I think they need more dog bowls if they really are to be dog friendly . One bowl to be shared amongst the whole restaurant seems cruel. In short I felt like they don 't value their daytime customers and just save their energy for the evening which is always packed therefor I think they shouldn 't bother opening for lunch except at weekends. I wanted to offer some hopefully constructive criticism personally but there was no one to say anything to hence why I am writing my feedback here"

"Went here for a birthday meal. Won't visit again. 10 on the table. No drinks order being taken. Took 30 mins to take food order. Yorkshire puddings were rock hard. Not enough gravy had to ask for more. Wasn't offered sauces again gad to ask. Waited 30 mins for plates to be taken away asked for tea and coffees. Took 30 mins to make then didn't bring milk or spoons had to ask for them. Just a main meal Took 2 1/2 hours. Rude staff who are not attentive at all."

"I was booked in by hotel reception (hotel reviewed separately). I arrived for my table in the restaurant at 8.30pm and surprised it wasn't busier on a Friday evening. I was seated by a new lad in training he was very young. Smiling and very...pleasant. I started with a mini bottle of prosecco. I had the squid and prawn starter, there was another fish, can't remember what it's called but you can see it in the picture, I'd never tried it before but it was fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Mains was lamb cutlets with mustard mash and kale. Again delicious. Dessert black forest slice. Mmm. I wish I had taken a picture of it all. It was thoroughly enjoyed. The service was attentive and fast by all the staff. A great restaurant if you're in the area."

"We got there at 12.30 and after 30 mins we managed to get a drink. We managed to get a bench outside to sit at as I am disabled. My daughter went to queue up for chips and burgers for the children as we thought it would be the quickest and how wrong were we . 45 mins later and only 2 people serving we decided to call it a day. Everything looked dirty, the bouncy castle/train was unusable because it was full of water , moss and leaves. They advertised it and didn’t even clean it, it was disgusting. The so called farm was just a few dirty enclosures with not much grass and a few chicken , and sheep in. We left after not being able to get food for ages and went into Maidstone to get something. Never will we go back there as there was just a lack of staff. 2 cooking food and taking money and 2 people serving in the bar. I was in the trade for 25 years and you always get extra staff when you have some kind of function on."

"I found this on TripAdvisor since I wanted something near the Tower of London for lunch on our last day. We arrived without a reservation but were promptly seated. I found the place a little stuffy with lots of business people all dressed up having their working lunches-some more liquid than solid, if you know what I mean! My other half had Tomato Basil Soup plus a Chix Bacon sandwich. I had the Chicken Schnitzel. I had 2 beers-a London Pride and an Italian Birra Moretti draught. My other half had a glass of D 'hill Chenin Blanc. I had hope for more choices of local ale, beer, but they kept pushing the Amstel? Food was ok, but I was hungry a few hours later! I think I 'll pass on this and similar type places next time and just find a local, everyday type pub where Onslow from Keeping Up Appearances would hang out! Two additional comments: 1) I did like the Gin Bear It ' sign 2) Be careful because they add on a 10% service charge regardless of the quality of service-our was average so 10% was ok"

"I hosted a baby shower for my sister at this restaurant and I have to say, from the beginning to the end, I have never felt so uncomfortable at a place I paid for a service. My sister and I arrived early to set up some favors on the table. However, we were met by the owner standing at the top of the stairs, looking down on us. The first thing she said was, "Where do you think you're going with that?" A simple hello would have been a better way to welcome paying customers. I later found out that it was stated in the terms sent via email that we couldn't bring our own favors, which was my fault for not reading the terms and conditions. It was also mentioned in the terms that the balance had to be paid 14 days prior to the booking. The food (afternoon tea) didn't seem fresh at all, although I did enjoy the scone. The overall experience, from the unwelcoming atmosphere to the manager counting heads and watching us, felt more like a school trip for badly behaved children. I would not recommend booking JAM to anyone."

"The service was good and the staff were friendly. We had made a reservation for 6pm and were served promptly. We brought along our two young children who were excited to color, but unfortunately there were no pens available despite the restaurant not being too busy. It may be a good idea for the restaurant to have more pens in stock. The food was very enjoyable with generous portion sizes, although the onion rings were a bit bland. Towards the middle of our meal, a large group was seated behind us and they were quite loud, making it difficult for us to have a conversation at our own table. This disrupted the atmosphere for us. Overall, I would still recommend this restaurant and would be willing to visit again."
