"this is a strange one....as the building and setting is lovely so should be 5 stars, but the food is for me lack luster, and is really rather average....and so there is always a reason why we only seem to go back every 5 years or so. Shame really, the food isn't awful but certainly not for a special night out"

We have visited The Swan many times as a great halfway point to meet some friends for a Sunday lunch. It never disappoints, the food and service are always excellent

Went here for Sunday lunch which was absolutely lovely. Huge portions. Great service by the very friendly and attentive staff. Only negative was that it was pretty cold where we were sat.

Excellent service and food. After our first visit we didn't even think of looking for somewhere to eat the second and last night of our break. We would definitely be regulars if we didn't live 200 miles away.
