"Oh how we love this adorable little place. We have been several times now and always enjoy AMAZING cocktails, and delicious food. The service is always on point! Tonight we ordered the Bruschetta and eggplant appetisers which were delicious. Our main course we ordered mussels and the Pappardelle al Ragu pasta dish- all were delicious! As starting drinks we had the house made manhattan and the strawberry refresher drink. As desert we pre ordered the Taramasu for my husbands birthday. Great little place with an adorable hidden entrance, would highly recommend a visit- make sure to make a reservation well in advance, but totally worth the wait!"

"We were recommended Gold and it did not disappoint. Good menu with lots of options. The agnolotti, just melted in your mouth! Stunning! Service was good. A thoroughly enjoyable meal and would happily recommend. My only issue was the closeness of our neighbouring table. The chair of that table touched the side of our table. I could not get out. A bit close to be comfortable."

"I’ve always loved the atmosphere and food at Blakes and the service has always been good. My experience was awful last Saturday though. Ambience and food were fantastic as always but the service was really bad. Extremely slow, we got served drinks about 40 mins after we sat having to ask for the drinks menu 3 times. The waitress was obviously a trainee with no idea about cocktails or wine. Not what you expect at a £100 per person restaurant. All else including the people at reception and cloakroom was flawless."

"What a delight! First time to this branch. I travel a lot and often have to dine solo which I don't mind. Some restaurants single you out but Côte Brasserie are very welcoming to all guests. Despite how busy they were on a Saturday evening, I was warmly greeted upon arriving, seated at a nice table and had excellent service throughout. Staff were attentive, yet left guests to dine in peace and enjoy their meal. I am a big fan of customer service. I have just come back from Japan where service is outstanding. I always find in the UK, we are one of the worse for service. However, Côte Brasserie is starting to make me have faith again. Well done! Great menu of French classics but there are other options too including steaks and salads. Hearty but good food. Calories and nutritional information are displayed on the menu which is helpful. I had the vegan Côte burger which came with frites. Freshly made, well presented and delicious. Messy to eat but so good. My Saturday treat! I actually felt shy when I fully cleaned up my plate but I was hungry and was looking forward to a burger. It delivered. I had a still water to drink so I was a bit healthy! Lovely branch with mainly indoor seating, plus a few tables outside. Lovely ambience and nice views too. They are busy given location so book a table. A lot of people were turned away or had to come back. Clean. Dessert looked good but I was stuffed. What Côte have also done well is not put up prices too much, especially in comparison to competitors. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommend."

"We decided to enjoy the Lazy Sumday at Ping Pong. £25 a head with the option to have a bottle of bubbly for a further £10, it was a reasonable price considering the amount of food we had! You just tick on the menu what you want and you keep getting more and more. The range of flavours is great and you definitely walk away feeling full! We opted for a selection of pretty much everything available and we couldn't stop enjoying the variety in flavours! A nice jasmine green tea to conclude and we were super happy with our Lazy Sumday! Special thank you to Rosie who was really helpful and served us really quickly and efficiently!"

"Food is lovely flavour is good, ingredients are very good quality and they are cooked perfectly. It generally feels very good to eat. I have eaten quite a bit here and all of the dishes have impressed me. The only issue, that really quite shocked me, was that my pear and almond dessert came with the wrong sauce. I asked the staff sorry if I 'm wrong, shouldn 't this be a berry coulis? and she replied that they 'd run out so had replaced with chocolate sauce. I thought that 's a bit cheeky. It taste lovely with the berry coulis suits it perfectly but this chocolate sauce (albeit very nice on its own) taste nasty with this dessert. Had I known, I would have changed my order. I wish they 'd told me rather than sending it out with whatever they could find. That really was quite cheeky."

"I booked originally for 6pm and had to change to 6:30pm due to traffic. I hadn’t confirmed The new booking so the host could not find a booking for us. It was my father’s birthday and I was really worried I had messed it up. The host, was fine and was still able to get us seated, we were very pleased with that. We were given a choice of tables, and as a larger guest, I was able to be seated comfortably. We’re we’re served by Tom. S ,for the evening. OMG! What a charming and delightful waiter. He was attentive, had great banter and held a wonderful conversation, wished my father a happy birthday, and tended to my wine being filled up all evening. He made us feel wonderful, and made me feel like a million dollars. The food was absolutely superb, French onion soup was perfectly seasoned, the croutons were Devine along with a salty cheese. Loaded with sweet onions: The liver parfait my husband had was delicious he said. My dad and husband had the beef bourguignon, and I had the chicken, gratin with a side of dauphinois potatoes… Again… absolutely perfect. The service here was top notch, and Tom.S made our first experience at Côte the best. He is a first class waiter, that I would compare to the the likes of The Ritz and The Savoy. Fantastic personality, and very well groomed and presented. What a fabulous and marvellous team member you have there. Cherish that! We will definitely return, and recommend this restaurant highly. 5 Service from Tom.S and the chef."

"I have just had lunch at this pub after an absence of about 6 years and there used to be a fantastic Thai restaurant attached to this. I came in hoping to re live old experiences. The place was deserted and it was a Friday lunch time, that should have been a clue. OMG, what an appalling disappointment. The menu was pan Asian now and I ordered 'the Korean mixed fried rice '. They were basically trying to do a Korean bibimpap. A very simple dish to put together) What was offered was ridiculous meal put together by someone who clearly does not know how to cook. It was a bowl of 'boiled rice ' jasmine with some julienned carrot and 'cucumber ' placed on top, with some pre cooked prawns from the supermarket and a bit of Kimchi and a fried egg on top practically inedible , I left most of it and told them I was really disappointed and why , they didn 't disagree and were polite but did not offer any kind of refund. The total cost of my meal was just over £15 with a small draft diet coke. terrible value for money for an almost inedible meal) avoid like the plague for the food."

"Monday 27th March. Wanted a nice meal before the theatre and Chose Cote Brasserie. On entering the welcome was kirt and shown to the table. We sat reading menu for some time , had decided and still waited for any interaction from staff. As time was ebbing away I called a member of staff and ordered both drinks and our meal. Drinks came and eventually the starters. Mushrooms on soggy toast. We ate and waited. Other diners who roughly ordered the same time as us were into their mains by this time. We waited until others had finished before I called a member of staff to explain why our food was taking so long, he promptly arrived with our food with no explanation just 2 plates of overcooked and very dry French cottage pie. Our drinks were at this time empty, no staff returned to ask if we wanted more or importantly was everything ok and would we like and condiments. We were loathed to complain as this would have upset our ongoing engagement, but couldn't help noticing staff were asking other diners if they wanted more drinks, and the couple next to us were asked if everything was ok could they leave a review. The staff knew their errors but moreso they knew the food was substandard which is why they avoided us. We grabbed a flying member of staff, ordered the bill paid and left. Dreadful experience."
"This was a lockdown dinner with reduced tables inside and all of the staff wearing masks. Social distancing was excellent. We took some options from the specials menu which were fine but not amazing. We also ordered a bottle of Fleurie which was really sharp (but not off). I mentioned it to the waitress after a couple of sips. They were happy for us to change the bottle of wine to a different one. Technically they didn't need to do it so that was impressive. Overall a good experience"

"Went for express lunch menu. 2 ordered the Mediterranean salad topped with choice of grilled chicken breast or halloumi. There was no mention anywhere that both items were an extra cost. £3.50 and £2.50 respectively. Waiter wasn’t much help when we queried it and sadly we refused to pay the service charge, which he also queried despite it being “optional”. First time we’ve had an issue."

"you need to remember that this place is a chain and therefore many of the dishes will be produced at other place massiw, some chains dress that good, some would not and would not suggest côte. the quid was beautiful, nothing more than nice, the duck was again beautiful, but certainly strongly spiced. I had dessert a chocolate lover and it was the court that deliberately abandoned the “prepared off-site”. it came within a few minutes of ordering, it would simply be thrilled to warm up just because it is not possible to cook a fondant in this time. decor is pleasant and service was good. would I come back? probably not, but that was said it was pleasant."

"Lot of hype on the Christmas special menu and we a team of 20+ colleagues went for team dinner. Most of the colleagues expressed their food was just okay ! Staff were trying their best but they are young and need to pay more attention to guests No space for parking as this on the main road closed by a junction in Esher. "Before anything the tables are greedily close together so it’s like you’re sat next to the table next to you. They’re also tiny. We couldn’t have a starter and a drink. Even the person who hosted us commented that the tables are small (we hadn’t said a thing) and they worked there. The food: my mum had a chicken dish and I had a vegan burger. The food came up and my burger and chips were cold. So I asked them to please be reheated. They returned cold. Before I’d stated it wasn’t the most appealing looking dish but by now plenty of time had passed and I’d lost my appetite so I sent it back. We realised that the kitchen is a weather spoons style submarine ride down a narrow flight of stairs and the people bringing the food have to wait for the people using the bathrooms to pass. Which was why my food likely got cold (my mum’s didn’t). Now the staff did waive my meal (rightly so) and our drinks (2 teas) and did offer to make something else, but I was so put off. That was decent. However they kept saying “we have a large party in tonight” and blaming it on that. If a large party books a private room in a restaurant, the restaurant know plenty of time in advance. This isn’t an acceptable reason for cold and unappealing food. Poor, wouldn’t recommend nor will I use a Cote again."

"The staff in this restaurant are outstanding. They always go above and beyond without being intrusive. Even the guy who brings out the food from the kitchen stood in a very professional way with one arm behind his back and the other balancing the tray of food but he still managed to greet and acknowledge us when we came in and left. My elderly husband tends to mumble, so through no fault of their own they have him the wrong dessert. Everyone was so apologetic and offered us free coffee which we declined so they gave us two free kir royals instead which was most welcome. Excellent training- the staff here could certainly teach other establishments a thing or two about catering, as the food is delicious and well presented, and how to treat customers."

"We stayed here for only one night but were impressed. The hotel is an old hotel with rooms upstairs and more in an annexe around the corner but still part of the building. Our room No.23) was one of the largest rooms we have ever stayed in. There was plenty of space around the two double beds. The toilet was large, too, with a walk-in shower, which was hot. A minor point to note, though, the radiator in the bedroom never heated up all night, which, if broken, would make it a bit chilly through the winter. We had a meal in the bar that night better to book a table as it was very busy all day), which was veg Scotch broth soup and haggis balls followed by fish and chips and steak pie. The Scotch broth tasted nice, as did the haggis balls. The fish was a nice piece of fish. The batter, though, was a bit thick and a tad greasy. The thick cut chips were nice. The steak pie was the usual, stew with pastry. All throughout our visit, the girls working in the bar and reception worked very hard they were polite, prompt and well presented and very helpful. There is no parking at the hotel, there is the Reform carpark 100mts along the road, but it's a short stay pay and display, so check the board for charges and time allowance before leaving your car."

"Good food as usual, I had my favourite steak frites (without awful black pepper)… and plum clafouti to follow. My cousin had the Breton fish stew, I’d have liked to try this but for some reason they seem to want to ruin every fish dish by putting chilli in it."

"we visited as a group from all over the country yesterday royal leamington spa and we had lunch in the côte brasserie. we were very welcome and the food was worth the money and the service was excellent. I recommend the selection of dips and drinks and if I ever visit one again in leamington, I will definitely come to my lunch."
