"Generally I have never had an issue with Braw, however on this occasion they have ensured I will never be back. I ordered at 18:40 on a Saturday, which I appreciate is a busy time for any takeaway in Edinburgh. I received a text saying...my food would arrive by 8:20, not ideal, but at least I had an ETA. No show by 8:30, at 8:40 I tried to call the shop, the line rang out, so I gave it a few minutes and tried again, and again, and again. Eventually I messaged them on their website, and also on facebook, asking to cancel the order and process a refund....where I also got no reply. I ended up ordering from elsewhere and the food arrived within 20minutes. At 9:30 my order from Braw finally arrived, I asked the delivery driver to take it away and make sure the shop processed the refund. I got a message back on facebook the next day from the manager, very apologetic and offering me a 25% discount. However, they have refused to give me a refund, and are now just ignoring my messages, Until they have the respect to look after loyal customers, I will not be returning. As a more general review, the burgers are OK, can be soggy sometimes, and as another review mentioned, they are very stingy with the paid for added extras. I go for the chips as they decent, but not good enough to get me back."

"Firstly, I must mention that my order was delayed. After calling the restaurant, I found out that my order had been lost. While this was not ideal, it is a common occurrence. Despite this setback, I would still give the restaurant 5 stars because my food was delivered quickly and hot. The quality of the food was excellent as always. Many thanks to the staff for their assistance."

"The food was nice, the device was good, but we felt we were very hurried. Once we set ourselves, we got drinks, which is good, but then the waiter asked if we were ready to order. We have our starter and as soon as the last person is finished, our head was bought immediately. I felt we needed at least a few minutes to drop it. Once we finished our head, we were asked for Desserts. we had no desserts, but wanted a drink that was good, but we were also told when he bought them back, that the table was booked so that we had to hurry. I know they usually say 2 hours, but it even warned 80 minutes. In the future, I'll go to lunch if his less busy."

"We had heard such good things about meze, upon arrival the exterior of the restaurant is lovely. We got in to the restaurant and were sat directly in front of the door, awful placement for a table as the doors are constantly being open and shut and my partner and I were constantly blasted with cold winter air. I spoke to one of the wait staff and asked if we could move as it was an awful table due to being sat indoors and feeling as though we were outside, I was told she’d look and that was the end of it, we were then told we could move our table over which didn’t help and then left me back to back with another diner. We were left with a very obvious impression that they are far more interested in parties/group bookings. The restaurant is also very loud, but again that is more about the parties/groups so not really their fault. Overall, the food was fantastic and is definitely good value for money ; however the staffs lack of interest in their diners enjoyment was extremely disappointing considering we would love to eat there again, but there was only one table for two so we’d likely be stuck in front of the door blasted with wind again."

"My husband and I were in London for a few days for a family wedding. We were frustrated because our last night (and only night to dine alone) coincided with a bank holiday and many restaurants were closed. My husband found Bombay Kitchen online and was not feeling very optimistic, but we took a taxi there. It was wonderful! Because we didn't know what to expect, I was expecting formica tables and a very basic atmosphere, but I was wrong! The tables had white tablecloths and the atmosphere was warm, cozy, and intimate. The service was quick and attentive and the food was excellent! It was one of the best Indian meals I have eaten. At the end of the evening, our waiter offered us a complimentary after-dinner drink."

"The service at the restaurant was a mixed bag. While two staff members were excellent with serving, the man who took our order seemed uninterested and made mistakes. We were not told when we made our reservation that there was a time limit of 90 minutes for each table, but due to slow service, we were able to stay longer. The female chef was fantastic and had to constantly remind the male waiter to check on us. The food was exceptional, but the restaurant lacked ambiance and felt more like a cafe than a proper restaurant."

"I placed an order online that was accepted and told delivery in 50 mins which was fine but 10 minutes before delivery I received a call from a man who struggled to speak English. I couldn’t understand what he was saying and I thought he was saying he was lost. Then another man came on line who was just rude. He said they didn’t deliver where I live and I asked why they had accepted my order. It is not their fault as they didn’t check and had now wasted the food. I am only 7 mins from them but couldn’t drive. I asked when I would be refunded and he said I’m not refunding you , you call a number and they do it. I asked why he wouldn’t refund me directly and he just laughed and said “ you want your money you do it. I am not doing your job. If you don’t call you loose your money I don’t care “ he was laughing and chatting to someone in a foreign language. I asked him why he was being rude and he laughed and said no you are rude. He found the whole thing so funny I am so surprised he is in business. If it’s not his company he should be sacked. After asking 6 times he gave me the number and then hung up. Speechless but having seen the other reviews I feel better that I am not the only person to experience this type of behaviour from the staff"

"Grosvenor Fish Bar has everything to be an icon of Norwich. Franken I am not a fan of fish and chips because the typical versions are just a carb loaded fat affair. Nevertheless, this place let me see what good quality fish and chips could be. Our table ordered cod, squid and tuna. I am not a fan of bland white fish, but the possibility of having the fat tuna as an option was Godsend for me. My wife ordered the bass with sass wrap and also loved it when considering how this dish is a modern recording on traditional fish and chips. We also ordered the Mussels from Brussels and the garlic butter sauce goes well with the chips and we also used it on our fish. The ambience is also great where we had booked a table and brought us to the bunker underground and this is another unique selling point. The price is also worth it and we came from lunch all well fed and happy."

"The food is of good quality and tasty. This restaurant serves my favorite chips in Birmingham and the West-Mediterranean. I have never encountered any issues with them. "New staff turnover is evident. So, in recent experiences, staff are finding their feet. As always we are patient and kind, but I do feel this impacts customer experience. We did wait 40 minutes on Sunday before we got a drink from entering the dining area. We have found this averages around 25 minutes for the first drink delivery at the Harrow when served in the dining area. There seems to be some disparity between dining area and bar (i.e. something needs improving here), where folks can newly walk into the bar area and get served before the diners who are patiently waiting. There seems to be no fair balance worked out here. My advise to people at the moment is to go to the bar, get your drink, then sit down with it, that way you are hydrated whilst you wait for service and someone to take your order and the subsequent wait for it to arrive. The food is 7/10 seemingly to me, always a little on the overcooked side. But at least it's hot and tastes alright. I would never see the harrow as excelling in the food stakes, but it's never pretended to be. Its at the end of the day, convenient, reasonable good, they try, and as long as they smile and try to not let the punter wait too long, it will trundle along nicely and will always be well visited."
