"Yesterday evening at 7:30pm we ordered a takeaway from this curry house, local to my Mum. She had used them previously and the curry was good and they delivered on time. (This is the only reason I have given a review of Poor rather than Terrible. On this occasion however, having ordered over £100 of curries and sides, our order took almost 2 hours to be delivered they had said an hour. When we phoned (4 times to find out where the driver was, we were told he'd left and would be with us soon. (They had the full address and postcode and had been there before. They also had my mobile number. When he eventually arrived he had 3 bottles of beer to give us as an apology for his lateness so he obviously was still on the premises when we'd called. So the lateness was an issue as was his tone; as was the fact that when we called the curry house with the driver still with us, they insisted that the manager would not be available until after 22:30 and so they couldn't do anything about the problem. I don't buy that. The curry itself was also an issue. We would have had a far more flavourful curry by cooking one ourselves using Pataks curry paste, if only we'd known earlier! I think they'd run out of spices, and they clearly didn't know Makhani Dahl from Korma sauce, because that's what we'd got. My Karahi (Korai Lamb was bland, more like a stew and the naan bread's were definitely not garlic. I dislike writing bad reviews I just tend to not go back. But this time I felt it necessary as even though we didn't pay the full amount we gave the driver £100 instead of the £112.20 they'd asked for, it really wasn't worth the money we were all just so hungry that there was no other option. I can only imagine that they had new/different staff in from when my Mum last ordered, and they fell apart because it was a Saturday night and had over committed on their deliveries. It's no excuse though, don't waste your money."

"Since the well-run and ever better informed diners of london visit the market for authenticity, it is interesting to see how the restaurant of the middle market Indian' is coming. where I come from, no single Indian restaurant is operated by a person who has ever been in india (the family behind the taj mahal originates from karachi, and the man who promises a taste of india, hails from chittagong.) but in the city london and in countless suburbs, we have come to accept, embrace and always ask we go for a curry' instantly connotable asses of mild deception, civil and frivole entertainment and feel very full with delicious meat and fat. and there is always this beautiful moment when they serve them a laminated menu of frozen desserts in a plastic penuin that they would have rejected, even if they were not too full again because it is a disturbing picture. sripur is close to my office, zomato informed me, so I led us there about a precurry doombar in the cheshire Cheese./ and yes, in the old of dishoom, food trucks and Michelin-starred curry kitchen, the mid-market curry house of the city is alive and well. / I say the medium market because for two of us, with a poppadom, a tandoori mixed grill everyone, say chana, roti and naan, plus two large kingfishers each, the bill came to £60. < br>/ but it was great. not spectacular, but the mixed grill was exactly what they want to stand at this price point among these. the keema was substantial, the fehde. the naans were a bit thin and crispy for my personal taste, but they said and channa were both deliciously fed. and kingfisher is kingfisher a sin qua non of a good (british) curry experience./ was sripur as location service is friendly enough, efficient and uninvasive. it is mainly colonized by some men in suits. not the loud, obnoxic art, but a smashing, something behind their best gray-handed-the-ears chaps with loose ties and the intention of a £40 taxi house in front of them. / could have had another curry for it."
