"My wife and I have always loved Lily 's, unfortunately we have seen another side to this place recently. On Saturday, September 23rd, we were in the Alexander next door to the restaurant. Knowing they close at 10pm, we attempted to get in at bang on 9pm but were told no-one was allowed in after 9, it was 9pm, but we weren 't going to argue the point so we went elsewhere. Then again, tonight 21/10/2023, we decided we wouldn 't make that mistake again, so we went at 7:45pm. OK, we hadn 't booked, but thought they 'd be able to squeeze us in. We asked for a table for three people, but were told, as we hadn 't booked, we couldn 't go in. I looked around the room and there seemed to be a few empty table. Anyway we left the premises, then decided we 'd go back in and get takeaway. While we were waiting in the queue at the takeaway section, we were shocked to hear the lady on the door, tell a group of four people, who asked for a table and hadn 't pre-booked, Yes, we can squeeze you in! What the heck is that all about? Discrimination against football fans? We weren 't drunk or unruly, so why the prejudice?"

"Given a table in the window, felt like goldfish everyone passing by looking in. Food was average not sure the about hype in the press. Ordered Veg karahi, when the order came it was veg korma it was too late to send back after we had taken curry in our plate. It was mentioned at the end when the waiter came to pick up our plates that we were given wrong curry. Albeit the waiter did take the cost of the wrong curry off the bill. Our overall opinion was the food is very average in taste."

"As a local, we are so lucky to have such a wonderful and unique place to enjoy such incredible food, incredible in many ways. From a tiny galley comes the freshest most delicious food you can ever imagine, packed with flavor and produced with genuine passion, you can almost taste it before it even hits your mouth! The seafood in particular is excellent and fresh, delivered every day from Orkney, the once home of the lovely couple who run Oakwood. The various sauces for the fish are rich being packed with a mix of butter, cream, wine and fresh herbs. All vegetable's and potatoes are fresh, don't expect frozen food here. There is no other place on earth to enjoy and appreciate quality food. The surroundings are stunning and quiet, no road traffic, just the odd small boat or canoe paddling along the canal. Not been since August 2020 due to lockdown, but my tummy is pulling me back. If the weather is good, eat outside with a canvas of greenery singing birds and a mild breeze shaking the trees just enough to provide the distinctive and beautiful sent of Highland woodland. This place has the finest and freshest food in the Highlands, while most restaurant's cook food, Oakwood creates a completely unique experience with a mix of phenomenal food, great hosts and the craic is always grand. "Not impressed, food is average and there are plenty of other curry houses in Tooting that are just as good if not better. Appalling service.I booked a table for people for yesterday night, over the telephone on Thursday. We arrived (our booking was and were told by the staff to wait minutes while our tables were prepared. minutes later, we were still standing around, blocking the kitchen, probably annoying the other patrons who had come to dine (there was very little space for such a big party to stand in). We were told again, our table would be ready in minutes We were told this at At there was no table, and we therefore took the decision to leave. The staff then urged us to come back and said and that a table was ready (upstairs). They repeatedly asked us to stay. We thought, especially as it was Ramadan, we should give our brothers a chance, and re-considered and came back in. We were led upstairs, and much to our disappointment, there still was no table ready. We went all the way back downstairs and left! Again, the staff begged us to stay, but we had enough by that point and left. We resented the argument put forward by some of the staff that we had arrived late and that’s the reason the table was not ready for us. That is a completely pathetic, insulting and weak argument considering (a) we had booked the night before and (b) we were still made to wait minutes for a table, which was never ready anyway.We should thank Lahore Karahi however, as after we left your restaurant we decided to give Al-Mirage a chance. We had a lovely meal, with fantastic service, in very nice and clean surroundings. A table was set up for us in minutes and we had a very very enjoyable night. As a party we spent a fair whack of money on a feast. Thank you again, we know NEVER to come back to Lahore Karahi, and always to go to Al-Mirage or some of the other establishments"

"Awful experience! Ordered a meal via Just Eat at 18:49, delivery should have been at 19:50. It never appeared, and it took until 22:00 for the order to be cancelled and my money refunded. Just Eat were useless I won’t use them again. Whoever I spoke to at Indian Ark, was just rude! My order was over an hour late at that point!! I’ve no idea how good or otherwise their food is, but based on this evening, I’d avoid both, at least when it comes to delivery!"

"I highly recommend this restaurant! It was our first experience at an Indian restaurant, and our waitress, Megna, was incredibly helpful in guiding us through the menu. The manager was also very kind and arranged a table for us, even though we hadn't made a reservation. If I had to mention one downside, it would be that it was a bit noisy, but I believe that was more due to the crowd on that particular day rather than a reflection of the restaurant itself. "Absolutely incredible, best Indian food I've ever had, great cosy atmosphere and brilliant service. My brother and I went for the 5 course taster menu for only £39.95 per person. This included homemade poppadoms and dips, followed by a large dosa to share, 3 starters each (fish, chicken and lamb chop), a small yoghurt puree, 3 smaller portions each of different curries (prawn, chicken, lamb) served with dahl, paratha and rice, and finally 3 desserts each. We were amazed by the quantity of food and the variety of flavours, so glad to have found this place and hope to visit again. Parking: Free parking in nearby car parks after 7pm."

"Finally a Halal Restaurant in Ealing that exceeded my expectations! We were served by friendly informative staff. The menu provided many options for those who enjoy mildly spiced food as well as for those who like well flavoured and spicy food. We really enjoyed the Turkish Manti (tiny soys stuffed ravioli in creamy buttery yogurt sauce drizzled with hot chilli butter! Really delicious.! We followed with a masala roasted baby chicken and a side of Curly Fries...amazing! All washed down with a Blueberry lassi and Thumb up! "Staff was friendly and service was quick. Atmosphere was average. Now to the food. Oh boy. This is the weirdest Indian food I 've ever tasted. It was so sweet!! And was just coconut. The tikka masala was red, so red, but couldn 't taste one tomato and did not have a yogurt base. Some pieces of paneer were overcooked resulting in rubbery edges. Asked for medium spicy and there was zero hint of any spice whatsoever. The korma was the right color, but only tasted of coconut. Not savory at all. Lamb was cooked find. Meat samosas were flavorless. Naan and rice was fine. I read some of the other reviews...curious to see if the owner tells me I 'm wrong. Sorry, but I 've had Indian food around the world. Heck, I am Indian. This is....a travesty. Maybe change it to Indian inspired. Not to be mean, but can only guess the high ratings are from folks inexperienced with actual Indian food.
