"I made a reservation here for my husband's birthday, and we were seated at a table by the window with a lovely view of the river. The food was delicious, but we were frequently interrupted by various staff members asking if our meal was satisfactory or if we wanted more drinks or extra rice. This made it difficult for us to fully enjoy our meal. As soon as we finished our main courses, we were asked if we wanted dessert, which we declined, and we were promptly handed the bill and asked to pay. Interestingly, they informed us that they don't accept cash payments, but tips in cash are welcome! While we really enjoyed the food, the service and the rushed atmosphere were disappointing. If we were to return, it would likely just be for takeout, as we barely had time to relax and finish our drinks before they wanted to turn over the table. We were there for less than an hour."

There were a few vegan options available, but the flavors didn't impress me. The food reminded me of a supermarket ready meal. The sweet and sour tofu consisted of cubed silken tofu drenched in what tasted like pre-packaged sweet and sour sauce. The vegetable noodles and kidney bean curry were passable, but nothing special. We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The food was exquisite, offering a rich and authentic taste of Indian cuisine. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff making the dining experience truly enjoyable. I highly recommend this place for those seeking both delicious food and top-notch service. First visit to Tiger in the Wall today for take away after hearing many positive reviews. I ordered the Chilli Tofu, which was very nice indeed. I am already looking froward to trying more of the vegan dishes on the menu, in particular from the Indian Menu. There is an Indian section on menu, and also Oriental, which I chose from today. Well worth a visit.

The lentil bites are to die for! Absolutely delicious if not limited vegan Indian offerings from what appears to be a hotel restaurant. Efficient service to pick up from the takeaway but the £30 minimum may be exclusive and off putting for some. We ordered the lentil dhal and chickpea curry with the lentil bites starter and tandoori roti. Yum! Updated from previous review on 2021-09-26 View menu

We sat outside as we had a canine companion. The view was really nice as the terrace overlooks the river. The vegan options were clearly marked on the menu. The crispy lentil bites were really delicious as was the creamy coconutty lentil daal. The roti was perfect fresh and not greasy. Prices were good too. The waiter kept pushing us to buy extra portions of rice but we found that the quantity was fine without.

This restaurant offers a nice selection of vegan options, including two vegan starters. We tried the lentil bites as our appetizer, and they were fantastic—definitely a must-try! The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, creating a high-class yet welcoming atmosphere. However, we did find some downsides, particularly with the portion sizes. The amount of rice served with the dish was insufficient given the quantity of sauce, and additional rice came at an extra cost. We also had to pay a service charge of £6. This is an update from my previous review on August 18, 2023.

"Oh, what a day we had at The White House for my auntie’s 88th! It was pure magic, right from the off. The team there couldn’t have been more welcoming, making us all feel right at home in the heart of Scotland. Now, let’s gab about the food it was out of this world! We started with gluten free fish n chips, and let me tell you, it was as good as any chippy by the sea – crispy, golden, and just packed with flavor. The venison steak and beef short rib? Cooked just how you’d want them, tender and full of taste. The gluten free burgers were a hit too, so juicy and well seasoned. For pudding, we had these scoops of ice cream, smooth as you like, and an apple crunch cheesecake that was simply to die for. But it was our server, Anastasia, who really made our day. She was a wee star – always there with a smile, quick with a recommendation, and knew her menu inside out. I barely noticed our water bottle was empty, and whoosh, there she was with a full one. That’s service for you! The atmosphere in The White House was just as warm and inviting as you’d hope for. It felt like sitting in a cosy wee pub in the Highlands, with all the charm and friendliness you’d expect. So, if you’re ever in the mood for a meal that’s as satisfying as a wee dram on a cold night, head to The White House. It’s not just eating; it’s a proper Scottish experience, full of heart and soul"
