"My wife and I have always loved Lily 's, unfortunately we have seen another side to this place recently. On Saturday, September 23rd, we were in the Alexander next door to the restaurant. Knowing they close at 10pm, we attempted to get in at bang on 9pm but were told no-one was allowed in after 9, it was 9pm, but we weren 't going to argue the point so we went elsewhere. Then again, tonight 21/10/2023, we decided we wouldn 't make that mistake again, so we went at 7:45pm. OK, we hadn 't booked, but thought they 'd be able to squeeze us in. We asked for a table for three people, but were told, as we hadn 't booked, we couldn 't go in. I looked around the room and there seemed to be a few empty table. Anyway we left the premises, then decided we 'd go back in and get takeaway. While we were waiting in the queue at the takeaway section, we were shocked to hear the lady on the door, tell a group of four people, who asked for a table and hadn 't pre-booked, Yes, we can squeeze you in! What the heck is that all about? Discrimination against football fans? We weren 't drunk or unruly, so why the prejudice?"

The service at this restaurant was extremely poor. The food was served cold and had a bad smell, as if it had been prepared two days ago. The staff lacked the basic skills in customer interaction. Overall, the food and service both deserve a rating of 1 out of 10.

The onion bhaji was disappointing, but everything else was delicious in taste and flavor. The service was decent, with a dine-in meal for dinner costing between £10-20 per person. The food scored a 4, the service a 3, and the atmosphere a 5. Recommended dishes include the samosas.

Last visited: July 2023 I've now dined at Lily's a number of times. Quick service and the food is good. I don't normally head to a vegetarian restaurant.... in fact, this is the only vegetarian restaurant I regularly go to. This place is atrocious. We asked for fresh,hot jalebis and they told us they were making them right now. But they lied to us, they were cold and looked like it was made days ago and smelled horrific. We called them to tell them how we felt and they started shouting at us and denying their mistake. They do not know how to talk to their customers. Their behaviour was disgusting towards us. They also started swearing at us and lying to us. We do not recommend anyone going to this place.

First of all most of the reviews here are Fake ! So don’t fooled. Coming to the point, they are charging like any star category restaurant and their portion sizes are that of feeling a 10 year old kid. Believe me for a £10.79 they charge on for a main course, they’ll serve you in small dishes made to feed pigeons. A complete rip off!!! The service staff is pathetic, I waited for 15 mins to settle my bill and at one point I felt like walking out of the restaurant. All in all avoid, go to a better portion size and located restaurant if you want to spend this kind of money. The prices here should be at least -40% less.
