"The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, which created a fantastic first impression. The food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were the highlight of our evening. The value was outstanding—I couldn't find anything to criticize. I will certainly be returning. Thank you!"

"We were really excited when we found the reviews of this place. When we went there were zero cake sweet vegan options and just 2 savory options: a vegan burger and a cous cous wrap. We ordered the wrap and it was yummy, but overall that wouldn’t have been my first choice. Service was quite bad, our table was dirty and not cleaned until we explicitly asked for it. Wouldn’t recommend!"

"I have had to carefully consider my review of The Ship. We have visited this restaurant a few times in the past and never had any major issues. However, our experience yesterday was disappointing. We arrived on time for our reservation and were directed to our table without being seated or escorted. The atmosphere in the room was nice and bustling. The waitress dropped the menus on our table without much interaction, and my mother's order was mixed up. Our starters were delicious and well presented, but my main course, the Mississippi Burger, was dry and bland. My wife and mother enjoyed their meals, but I was not satisfied with mine. The service was lacking, as my empty glass was not refilled and we had to wait a long time for the dessert menu. My wife's dessert was excellent, and the total bill for our meal was reasonable. Despite the good value, I did not leave a tip due to the disappointing service. The staff appeared overwhelmed and disinterested, which made us feel like a secondary priority compared to larger groups. I was disappointed with the experience and hope for better service in the future."

"Always excellent we have been many times! Tuesday's visit was a little different in that the fire alarm was triggered part-way through our meal. Fortunately, we had eaten the hot, main course and were just waiting for our desserts. Staff and students alike coped with the potentially difficult and awkward situation calmly and efficiently. It didn't detract from our enjoyment one little bit. Our serving staff were excellent, with just the right balance of participating in a friendly way with the conversation and giving us space when appropriate. The food was excellent. All in all, another very enjoyable experience! Thank you so much to college students and staff!"

"Delicious food, wonderful staff, and very friendly entertainers."
"I visited the farm shop today for a few items, it's a nice place stocked with all sorts of delicious produce and a proper butchers. Some things were a little expensive but you expect that from a farm shop. After shopping I really wanted a coffee and a quick bite to eat as it was approaching approaching the lady on reception she seemed to look me up and down and even though I could see lots of empty seating I was informed they where full. I think I was turned down because I had walking attire on and hadn't shaved....certainly that's what the look I was given felt like.I shan't go back to either the shop or restaurant and looking at the Incredibly high ratio of average, terrible and poor reviews they might not be there soon shockingly high. Seems management are not fit for task and have a very short sighted view of customers. The covid statement is acting like an apology for this poor customer regard. Its a shame as it seems one or a few people are going to cost a lot of people their livelihoods."

"happy enough to get a cancellation so in the position to celebrate our wedding day and my birthday. eating and service here are simply excellent. we're here a few times and it's brilliant every time. I really can not recommend this restaurant very enough, although it is hard enough to get a booking already, so don't tell everyone!"

"We happened to eat here last night during the busy Viking festival, as many places were fully booked. We were lucky to walk in and find a table for four. The food was fantastic, especially the meat. My husband and I enjoyed the tasty, lean, and moist pork. Our friends tried the beef and turkey, and were equally impressed. The portion sizes were generous and the vegetables were fresh and perfectly cooked. The gravy was delicious. Despite being a small establishment, the atmosphere was cozy. We will definitely return next time we are in Sheringham. It was also great value for money."

"We decided to go and visit the snowdrops at Kingston Lacy and then was looking for some where to eat. We have a puppy so needed something dog friendly. What a find the car park was very busy but still plenty of seats inside for...lunch. I had the salmon and my husband had the liver and bacon both meals were hot and good portion size and food to enjoy. We had the apple crumble with custard as I heard another customer say what lovely custard they made here. So we thought we would go with the customer recommendation. non alcoholic drinks, main meals and pudding just under . Service was exemplary and they went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. We will back."

"Poor value for money. It's not the worst room I have stayed in and was on the first impression lovley. We stayed in room 6. We paid nearly £400 and definitely think it was well over charged. We had a huge gap in the bottom of our door that ment we had to put a towel to stop noise and people being able to see or hear us in our room. The room was clean but paint was very flaky and the t.v was in an awkward place, no sofa or at least a comfy place to sit. There was basic tea and coffee. The bathroom was very nice however no thought was given to comforts. I have been in more affordable hotels and have had much more thought given to bath wash, amenities etc and in the heart of Glasgow for around £175 with drastic consideration to travelers. Room was clean breeding was comfy and the bath in the room was fun. If this room and the service had of been £200 a night it would have been about right but it was very basic thought into what would have been a really lovely stay of they had of added aircon, Fridge for extras, an easy plug for kettle, bathwash, toothpaste/brush, even a coffee machine like we have seen on other hotels of this cost. We would of complained but where only staying one night, one thing for sure we would not go back. We can get better luxury for less and closer to town."

"I haven’t been to Southport since I was 12 and we stayed at Pontins! I am now 62! Today I went with my son and grandson. We arrived very early, sadly the pier was closed but we walked on the beach which was lovely. We then walked through the centre and luckily stumbled across the tea room. I just loved the whole place, the decor and the ethos was amazing. The furniture and the clock chiming reminding me of my grandparents home as a child. I loved the music too. The staff were so friendly and so professional. My grandson was fascinated by their delightful manners and it was so lovely because I am constantly trying to remind him of the importance of manners. My son and I had the full English breakfast. It really was fabulous. My grandson is a really fussy eater and said he wasn’t hungry. He ate one of my sausages and later on said could we go again so he could have his own breakfast. I can safely say we will most definitely return in the future. In this very modern world of fast and bland food your tea room proved that quality, tradition and fabulous food can be found in ‘The Westminster Tea Rooms, Southport. THANKYOU. The Ingham family, Halifax."

"Two hot chocolates, two coffees and a small glass of milk for a toddler. Most places would throw in the milk for free, or charge 50p or whatever. Not here, where instead there was an espresso we hadn 't had on the bill for £3. Queried this and told we don 't have a button for milk as though that is my problem not theirs. Mentioned that £3 for a small glass of milk is extremely steep, just met with shrugs and a dismissive I know . I get that hospitality is having a hard time of it, but they seem plenty busy and frankly I don 't like being fleeced. How about you keep your customers happy and take it off the bill? Also had food a few months ago after new ownership, which was frankly nothing to write home about, although it may have improved in the meantime. I doubt we 'll be back to find out, though, given the attitude on display."

"We visited the Parlour today with 2 friends from London, who had read reviews and asked if they could have lunch with us. Having been several times before, I had booked within 5 minutes of them asking. I had explained that every element would be exceptional ingredients used in a completely honest way, no fancy names or flashy presentation. We could have chosen any or every item on the menu and received a great meal. In fact, we chose 3 different mains-all of which were delightful. The homemade pie my friend had no disappointing gap under the top crust before you found the meat. Chunky pieces of chuck steak filled the whole pie surrounded in beautiful stout gravy, I would have been envious except my beef hotpot more than matched couple with a herby dumpling. GREAT! The ladies had great roast pork and emptied their plates, no better recommendation possible. All at outstanding value. 2 very happy friends."

"A wonderful hidden gem of a restaurant that is open every day between 10 3pm. We were staying in the village for a week, so tried this place 3 times each time we took the food away to enjoy at the cottage we had hired as we had dogs. Even though one of our family was vegetarian, there was plenty of choice for all four of us each time. Our first meal was Sweet Potato Chickpea Curry, which came with Rice and a small Nan Bread each. Lovely tasty meal with plenty of flavours. We ordered the Sunday Beef Roast as well as a Vegetarian Roast for the following day, and the lady offered to deliver it to our cottage. Again, wonderful quality food with plenty on the plates to satisfy us. The 3rd meal was Vegetable Lasagne a Vegetable Risotto with Mediterranean Veg. Beautiful flavours on both dishes again with plenty of food on the plates. All the food was excellent value especially for the price, and we could not recommend it highly enough. Yum, yum, yum!!"

"platz was really busy when we arrived with people who were not booked away, so it is very popular. the staff was friendly and helpful. the table was a bit small and sometimes felt somewhat cramped, especially with overlapping table sets. it was also next to the disabled toilet. (hence the -1 star) eating was really nice and cooked, just as we asked. they also had an extensive wine list with very beautiful weeping. I'd go back if I knew I was sitting somewhere else."

"We was looking forward to our visit giving there was so many good reviews but unfortunately we are not able to add to these. Our table was booked for 6 and we ordered the 2 hanging backs for £10. 1 was chicken and 1 was steak. Unfortunately when the both turned up the chicken was still raw in the middle and the steak was cold with almost raw mushrooms and peppers. The staff was very apologetic and took our meals away. When they came back they was this time cooked.properly but unfortunately the chips was overcook3d and looked like they had been taken from the bottom of the fryer from the day before. Also there was no sauce on the kebabs, which did not know we was supposed to get until we was told after our visit. The staff was extremly sorry for our experience and knock3d the price of the food of the total bill. We was home for 7pm. Sorry don't have any photos"

"we have booked them for us a few, and two friends so a table for we had a warm reception, immediately shown on our table, ordered drinks and delivered menus. the starter and the main was very good that the sweet served. with the dead was bad. only swede and carrotts. the puddings were poor. it was simply tasteless that no one really enjoyed her. jam roly- poly was very dry. the environment was very nice and was cozy, although it was pretty busy. at the end of the evening there was a small problem that could easily be avoided. the four of us have decided to approach the bill rather than complete who had what exactly. we both thought that the other had paid the strange, and unfortunately all of us and the bad waitress missed this and underpaid by the a few minutes later the waitress was told to turn back to our table and ask them about the bear in thinking that the bill was in excess of it could have been advisable to turn a blind eye on this instead of embarrassing customers and employees. the poor girl was even more embarrassing when she received the very reasonable tip. everything in a very pleasant evening, but not the best."
