"we have booked them for us a few, and two friends so a table for we had a warm reception, immediately shown on our table, ordered drinks and delivered menus. the starter and the main was very good that the sweet served. with the dead was bad. only swede and carrotts. the puddings were poor. it was simply tasteless that no one really enjoyed her. jam roly- poly was very dry. the environment was very nice and was cozy, although it was pretty busy. at the end of the evening there was a small problem that could easily be avoided. the four of us have decided to approach the bill rather than complete who had what exactly. we both thought that the other had paid the strange, and unfortunately all of us and the bad waitress missed this and underpaid by the a few minutes later the waitress was told to turn back to our table and ask them about the bear in thinking that the bill was in excess of it could have been advisable to turn a blind eye on this instead of embarrassing customers and employees. the poor girl was even more embarrassing when she received the very reasonable tip. everything in a very pleasant evening, but not the best."

"Food was great, cocktails were lovely. Staff were friendly, funny, quick and helpful. Only issue we had was it was one of the hottest days and there were no fans or air con. We managed to stay to finish our meals but had to leave because it was uncomfortably hot. Will go there again when it's cooler though."

"We happened to eat here last night during the busy Viking festival, as many places were fully booked. We were lucky to walk in and find a table for four. The food was fantastic, especially the meat. My husband and I enjoyed the tasty, lean, and moist pork. Our friends tried the beef and turkey, and were equally impressed. The portion sizes were generous and the vegetables were fresh and perfectly cooked. The gravy was delicious. Despite being a small establishment, the atmosphere was cozy. We will definitely return next time we are in Sheringham. It was also great value for money."

"platz was really busy when we arrived with people who were not booked away, so it is very popular. the staff was friendly and helpful. the table was a bit small and sometimes felt somewhat cramped, especially with overlapping table sets. it was also next to the disabled toilet. (hence the -1 star) eating was really nice and cooked, just as we asked. they also had an extensive wine list with very beautiful weeping. I'd go back if I knew I was sitting somewhere else."

"We decided to go and visit the snowdrops at Kingston Lacy and then was looking for some where to eat. We have a puppy so needed something dog friendly. What a find the car park was very busy but still plenty of seats inside for...lunch. I had the salmon and my husband had the liver and bacon both meals were hot and good portion size and food to enjoy. We had the apple crumble with custard as I heard another customer say what lovely custard they made here. So we thought we would go with the customer recommendation. non alcoholic drinks, main meals and pudding just under . Service was exemplary and they went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. We will back."

"happy enough to get a cancellation so in the position to celebrate our wedding day and my birthday. eating and service here are simply excellent. we're here a few times and it's brilliant every time. I really can not recommend this restaurant very enough, although it is hard enough to get a booking already, so don't tell everyone!"

"Poor value for money. It's not the worst room I have stayed in and was on the first impression lovley. We stayed in room 6. We paid nearly £400 and definitely think it was well over charged. We had a huge gap in the bottom of our door that ment we had to put a towel to stop noise and people being able to see or hear us in our room. The room was clean but paint was very flaky and the t.v was in an awkward place, no sofa or at least a comfy place to sit. There was basic tea and coffee. The bathroom was very nice however no thought was given to comforts. I have been in more affordable hotels and have had much more thought given to bath wash, amenities etc and in the heart of Glasgow for around £175 with drastic consideration to travelers. Room was clean breeding was comfy and the bath in the room was fun. If this room and the service had of been £200 a night it would have been about right but it was very basic thought into what would have been a really lovely stay of they had of added aircon, Fridge for extras, an easy plug for kettle, bathwash, toothpaste/brush, even a coffee machine like we have seen on other hotels of this cost. We would of complained but where only staying one night, one thing for sure we would not go back. We can get better luxury for less and closer to town."

"Our family have been going to this family run restaurant for many years now and never had a meal that wasn't excellent! Last Saturday was no exception, there are always specials as well as a regular menu, with a great variety of fantastic dishes to choose from and would highly recommend a visit!"

"To start off, I want to say that this pub is probably the worst I have ever visited. My family of four arrived at 1:30 pm on a Thursday afternoon to find the pub not very crowded. Initially, it seemed like a nice and inviting place. We decided to order drinks and lunch, choosing two chicken katsu burgers, a classic beef burger, and fish and chips. Despite the lack of crowd, we only received three out of four drinks immediately. There was a delay with the beer due to a barrel change, which we understood. However, it took 40 minutes for the beer to finally arrive. We also received a second beer that seemed to be given to us by mistake. Our food took over an hour to arrive, at around 2:40 pm. The quality was disappointing, with the chicken katsu burger being particularly bad. The fish and chips and classic beef burger were average at best. The service was slow, with a lack of cutlery and napkins for the table. We paid £60 for a subpar meal in a cold and dimly lit atmosphere. The staff seemed overwhelmed and there were clear issues with understaffing. Overall, I do not recommend this pub due to poor food, high prices, and lackluster service. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2"

"A wonderful hidden gem of a restaurant that is open every day between 10 3pm. We were staying in the village for a week, so tried this place 3 times each time we took the food away to enjoy at the cottage we had hired as we had dogs. Even though one of our family was vegetarian, there was plenty of choice for all four of us each time. Our first meal was Sweet Potato Chickpea Curry, which came with Rice and a small Nan Bread each. Lovely tasty meal with plenty of flavours. We ordered the Sunday Beef Roast as well as a Vegetarian Roast for the following day, and the lady offered to deliver it to our cottage. Again, wonderful quality food with plenty on the plates to satisfy us. The 3rd meal was Vegetable Lasagne a Vegetable Risotto with Mediterranean Veg. Beautiful flavours on both dishes again with plenty of food on the plates. All the food was excellent value especially for the price, and we could not recommend it highly enough. Yum, yum, yum!!"

"We was looking forward to our visit giving there was so many good reviews but unfortunately we are not able to add to these. Our table was booked for 6 and we ordered the 2 hanging backs for £10. 1 was chicken and 1 was steak. Unfortunately when the both turned up the chicken was still raw in the middle and the steak was cold with almost raw mushrooms and peppers. The staff was very apologetic and took our meals away. When they came back they was this time cooked.properly but unfortunately the chips was overcook3d and looked like they had been taken from the bottom of the fryer from the day before. Also there was no sauce on the kebabs, which did not know we was supposed to get until we was told after our visit. The staff was extremly sorry for our experience and knock3d the price of the food of the total bill. We was home for 7pm. Sorry don't have any photos"

"Dropped in on the way back from somewhere today on the off chance they had a table and, very fortunately, there was. However, if you are considering eating here, I strongly recommend booking ahead, either on the phone, or through the website. This is an extremely popular pub and the odds of getting a free table are slim. The service is extremely good and the food is astonishing. We both had mains and puddings. The portion sizes are enormous, but more importantly, the quality of the food far outstrips what you may be expecting from a country pub. Value for money here is off the chart. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We will be going again. Often."
"First visit today and certainly will not be the last!! Staff were very welcoming and friendly. So many lovely dishes to choose from but we settled for a good ol ' roast . Glad we did as it was probably the best pub roast we 've had. The roast pork was lovely, tender and plentiful, crackling too!! The roast pots, yorkshire pud and selection of veg were excellent. How we finished it all i don 't know but it was yummy!! Only complaint is that we were so full we couldn 't manage a dessert!! Next time can 't come soon enough. Great value for money."

"We had booked (paid a deposit and chosen our dishes) a Christmas evening meal and were looking forward to our visit. On giving our name, we were rushed to our table and were asked what we wanted to drink before my husband had arrived (parking car) and before we had taken our coats off and sat down. We had brought along an elderly relative and she did become a little flustered. A rather officious lady came to check our order and fortunately my husband had recorded our choices at the time of booking so we were able to clarify any complications. The first course was okay but the prawn cocktail had a large piece of smoked salmon in it that had not been chopped up as it should have been. The main courses were very disappointing. The duck was overcooked, as was the turkey, the potatoes had skins like leather and the vegetable were sad and unappetising. The orange sauce for the duck was bland. We did not stay for desert. Cooking for large numbers at Christmas must be difficult and pre-prepared food obviously makes the task easier for the chef but overall this was an average and lukewarm experience. We sharen't be booking a Christmas meal at The Cripple Creek again."
""We discovered a hidden gem during our regular outings. The ambiance is lovely, the staff is friendly, and the food is consistently delicious and reasonably priced. The star of the menu is definitely the honey-bread pork belly, but I must say, the burger I had yesterday was superb. While I’m not a burger expert, I’ve seen many places fail to make a good one. However, this one stands out. The everyday fare is impressive as well, especially the chips, which are exceptional. They are perfectly crispy on the outside, and fluffy and flavorful on the inside. These are not just any chips; they are Red Lion chips. My wife couldn't resist the steak and ale pie, and it certainly lived up to its usual high standards. I've indulged in many of these pies before and find them hard to resist every time.""

"Very busy, had new staff who didn’t have a clue. Tossing their long untied hair about. They took us to our seats and then left us half hour before coming back to ask if we wanted drinks. Then promptly walked away without asking if we were ready to order our food. Brought our drinks over and again whisked off without our food order. Another half hour someone came and asked if were ready to order. Food arrived twenty minutes later and was lovely, but when we asked to order more drink, were told to go to the bar. Not good, could understand if we were outside, but we wasn’t. After our main meal arrived all lovely again, we wasn’t asked if we needed and condiments etc. I also had to take a knife from another table. We also decided that we weren’t going even ask for the dessert menu this time, and we just wanted to leave and didn’t ask for the bill until we went to the bar, instead of waiting for it at the table. This has put us off coming here, but the food was lovely as usual, just the service let it down."

"Stayed here for 1 night and from the minute we arrived in reception till we left we couldn’t be happier. Iona on reception was so warm and welcoming, professional for such a young lady and knew her job well. Drinks in the bar were less than £6 for a cocktail. Dinner was amazing, mushroom risotto and the burger we had and I can safely say it was the best burger I’ve ever had. The room was spacious, clean and the jacuzzi bath was a nice surprise. Really can’t complain about anything at all and that’s not like me! Usually love a good moan! Staff all really helpful and friendly especially Iona on the front desk. Already booked to come back in a few months and looking forward to it"

"Norman is just the most amazing man and the epitome of the kind of vendor you want involved in your wedding. We planned our Northern Ireland destination wedding from the United States and Norman didn’t miss a beat. His communication was stellar and prompt. He clearly laid everything out for us to easily make decisions and he guided us throughout the entire process. I can’t express how incredibly kind and sweet Norman is as a person, which is just such a blessing during wedding planning. Norman not only catered our wedding itself, but also our rehearsal dinner, an afternoon tea service, as well as breakfast each morning during our stay. Each meal was spectacular and delicious, and the presentation was top notch, the cocktails and wine list were also superb. The service from his team was outstanding, they went above and beyond cooking out in the rain and all! Any leftovers we had were perfectly wrapped up and put in containers for us to enjoy during our stay at the Belle Isle Estate. Thank you Norman and team for making our food dreams come true and being such a wonderful part of our unforgettable celebration!"
